Picas - Free Art Photo Filter

Very nice app. After experimenting for just a very short time I purchased the lifetime version. There's still one filter unavailable (can't recall its name) and as I refuse to be forced to share the app in order to access said filter I won't find out the capabilities of said filter. That's the only thing that prevented my giving you a five star review. Looking forward to more experimenting with this app, many thanks.

I have found a way to find my photos l want to edit, without having to scroll through my gallery. I move them off my SD card. When all your photos are on your SD card, which mine are, it takes ages to find them. I hope this helps others who have the same problem. I love the filters, and it works very fast. Yes, that definitely works. Move your photos you want to edit off your SD card and you'll find them easily.

I am very impressed with how easy PICAS ver. 2.0.3 is to use. The artistic quality of the results is quite impressive and they are a lot of fun to create. A slider bar lets you quickly increase or decrease the intensity of the effect, brilliant! Thank you for giving me access to this wonderful FREE software. So far the app does as it says and it seems like a very good app for filtering images. I understand that you need to make money so the free version will have less features. I have a suggestion for a feature that you could include in the premium version. Add the option for premium users to use custom filters like what Ostagram has for free. The issue with them is the wait and that they publish your photos publicly and punish you for making your photos private. Just a suggestion.

Wonderful, easy to use and creates incredible artwork from photos. Results have wowed everyone I've shown the pics to. A few suggestions: 1. Filters seem to do a much better job on objects than faces/people. AI may need to be tweaked some to improve the results. 2. Accessing the photos in albums ( Android phone - Gallery) is frustrating, as they do not come up in alphabetical order. 3. When saving a finished pic, the file data should include the name of the filter used for that pic.

I have the paid version that promises high resolution, so that I could make art prints but the resolution isn't even high enough quality for a 5x7. Very disappointing. I feel like I was lied to with the promise of high resolution when I can't use these photos for anything except looking at on my phone. Why would I need that? Also the "get added filters for providing a 5 star review" is an unethical attempt to work the system. Had I noticed it before buying, I never would have bought!

This app really works without glitches. You have a good selection of distinct effects for free with a small translucent watermark. I love it. I can even use it to make downloaded coloring pages look like pieces of art without actually having to color them in!

I paid for the premium version 10usd. Bought a new phone, wiped old one. Installed app in new one and now I'm getting ads, exports with watermark and slow processing. Tried uninstalling and installing again... nada. Contacted support asking for help... nada. For what it is I paid a lot and its really frustrating not being able to use the features I paid for.

Very easy to use, the effects are quite amazing. It turned a photo of my cat into a beautiful piece of art. I applied the same effects to photos of my other 4 cats and now have a gorgeous series of prints in frames on my hall wall. Everyone who has seen them comments on them and assume they were expensive!!

Keeps asking for permission, yet it doesn't show galley photos. Very finicky. Issue: A. "Select Photo" shows empty. Even w/ images stored internally. It asks permission to access camera & storage multiple times. Yet, even if set still photos doesn't show up. B. And why are ads showing up for VIP? Pay more???? Disappointing.

okay i used the free version for a while to see how the different effects looked and liked the app. really liked the first effect that made pictures look like painted 70s 80s style film posters like say the original Star Wars posters, so decided to pay £10 to remove the watermarks as soon as I did all the filters changed there's no smooth film poster style effect it's been replaced by a cheap looking and blurry effect so i pritty much paid to remove the watermarks for nothing it's now useless

I bought the lifetime membership within minutes of trying the app. I am a huge fan of painterly/fine art.The fabulous range of filters truly impressed me. I LOVE THE SPEED with which I can have great looking fotos. Pressing on the finished image let's you control how much of the effect you want showing. Love it. Another app provides me with canvas textures. If that is added to this nifty app....would b a perfection thanks much for a lovely app.

This is a 7Mb app. No app controls, so it's clumsy & unclear (& I'm quite experienced). No pre-edit crop/flip/rotate that I saw. Built-in non-standard BAD file mgr. takes a LONG TIME to load photo from gallery (use Android's, guys!; I have 150k of pix on my phone! (all on micro-SD). Makes app unusable.

Fairly easy to use good to either stylize your photo or just enhance it slightly. Suggest you crop your picture first as it has limited options for resize and doesn't allow for manual frame adjustment. Overall I do like it.

Using Android 11 phone. App not loading pictures in gallery now so can't use to edit any pictures. I've checked app permissions and it has full acces to storage. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. Am using paid for app and have contacted support several times for help with no response at all. For now, the app is completely useless.

The filters are good but there is a problem with this app as don't read most of the other apps in my device when I want to share an image from Photos to Picas it unable to see it or vice -versa! I did contact them and they asked if am logged in but it makes no difference.Maybe is because Photos or Gallery in their book don't exist! Nor my apps see Picas.I have many apps and only this has this limitation!I can gimmick from apps to another but is bothering . And no FB for me thanks!

i paid £9.99 for this to get rid of ads and the picas watermark. the ads have gone but the watermark is still on every picture ... not happy. I've been in the settings and switched off ads. Still getting them. I also emailed and got no reply

So many different photo options to chose from but hey, the resolution when saved is only fit for the recycle bin. Shocking considering my other free apps are 100% quality. Do not recommend at all.

i am unable to find pix to edit from my phone albums. the pix are not sorted in any particular order and that makes it very difficult. please advise when will you be able to sort out this bug and when is the next update?

Easy to use, great, customizable effects. When I had some initial issues with losing Facebook access to my photo gallery, the company worked with me promptly to resolve. After that I upgraded to paid version, well worth it.

Bought the premium version to have HD prints but quality is not good enough to print. Very disappointed. The app is only good if you want the photos to stay on your PC.

Great app that does what it was intended for without too much interference from ads. I will buy the ad free version and get the extra filters.

If you're looking for an effect like first screen shot, don't waste your time. I tried so many of the effects. If there is such effect, developers must write the name of that on the photo at least.

Very fast compared to others like it and many cool free filters. Image quality isn't as good as other paid apps but for a free app it is wonderful. Thank you.

Apparently my internet isn't good enough to use the filters?? Weird.. It's good enough to download the app, and open it.. It works for everything else.. Not thinking it's my problem..

I purchased the paid version for HD images. I selected a high quality image to work on but the finished size is only 848px x 636px. Very small, certainly not HD.

I'd give it 5 stars if it saved to higher resolutions. That's the only problem is it doesn't save it to as high resolutions as some other Android photo apps do.

absolutely love these filters. I bought the premium to get rid of the watermark and ads. This is a great app if you love phone photagraphy and playing with filters.
