I have a paid subscription I'm about to let expire. The website is solid and I've used it for years. The app is basically useless and doesn't do much more than a basic editor. Picmonkey was a leader years ago and I've made amazing work with the website, but the cost just doesn't work with the product anymore. Very sad to be writing this, would have preferred to stay.
I so love this app I recommend this so much. I just wish that if we accidentally swipe the back button that will basically delete the progress for example editing a clip art - wish there is a redo button instead of doing it all over again. That'll totally help us save time. But overall it's FIRE!!! 10 STARS
The app has been excellent, functionally speaking, for me for years. Though it is a vastly different experience from working PicMonkey from the desktop environment, I'm still able to accomplish good edits on mobile device.
Not sure why I can't access different folders, other than unsorted, in the app. Especially when I pay for this service. Every time the price goes up and they add more "features" the app works less and less.
Overall I really like PicMonkey. occasionally some of their pictures are not exactly family friendly. As a mom, that is important to me. But I do feel like the photo editing tools work well. I do use this app several times a week.
I love this app but it's too expensive now. I don't even use it that much I don't think it's fair that they raised it so high. Some people are low income like me since now I'm disabled because of my heart surgeries. I really don't need these high prices from some of these apps. I have to uninstall it and unsubscribe taking it off of auto pay. I'm sure others will follow. not worth it. A lot of the pictures now have an exclamation point not allowing me to do anything to the picture.
I've used picmonkey for many years and i guess that is going to come to an end. App won't even open a photo anymore. I've updated, I've reinstalled. Guess that's what happens when you sell out to shutterstock. Guess I'll have to find a new editing app. Such a shame.
I love this app, but... this one issue is almost a dealbreaker. If you accidentally switch to another window, you lose all your editing and the program goes back to the beginning. It actually happens a lot and I find it infuriating!! Most apps just remain as you left them when you switch out... Grrrr!
I have had pic monkey for years. I have never had so many issues until recently. I am not sure what you changed but please fix ASAP. I have sent multiple emails and never and I mean never have received a reply to an option to fix or give an idea why everytime I use the BG remover my Application shuts off. Gives me a white screen. I use this app multiple times a day. But this crashing every time is ridiculous!!!!!! Please fix Application. I have seen others complaining of same issues.
Please disregard my horrible review below, I was having a hard time with other things in my life when a small issue arose with signing in & I made it a big one. PicMonkey is AMAZING, I've been a long time customer for years. PicMonkey is the BEST editor out there! They are Very helpful & respectful, even when you are not. I am so sorry. Thank You PicMonkey 💗
I've been a paying member for years with the same email and password and now the app won't let me sign in and states I don't have an account. I didn't like the mobile app when I could sign in. It's very basic!
It's a decent enough editing program. Easy to use. One glaring negative with the app is that I cannot access all of the folders on my hub. This is a huge problem when working on the go and not being able to access what I need when I don't have an actual desktop in front of me. It would have gotten all stars if this wasn't an issue.
What a shame. All good things must come to an end I guess. LOVED Pic Monkey for years. Now I need to provide a credit card? And based on reading others' reviews (who HAVE paid), that isn't happening. It was sooooo efficient and useful *sigh*
The website is absolutely amazing. The app...not so much. Very limited. A good source for downloading pictures when needed, but as far as being a functional creation tool, it's terrible.

I've had a subscription for years. Before the buyout and stupid changes. There is no benefit to being a long term member or having a yearly membership. Becoming far to expensive to justify keeping. Onto something better. Thanks anyway.... I miss the old app.
I have been paying a monthly subscription to use this on my computer for YEARS why is it asking me to pay for a subscription to use the app which is literally the most basic editor I've ever seen ? I no longer use my computer much as I'm now disabled so can't sit up at my desk for long.i am really annoyed (plus you keep taking out a bit more each month) why doesn't the app have exactly what the desktop version has,there are some brilliant free editor apps that do as much,if not more (photostudio
I've been using pic monkey for probably 10 years now and love this site. Every year they add more features and options. I get the pro version now and it has so much to choose from. And they have video tutorials for everything to quickly help you learn new skills.
Used to be great, but now they want you to pay a ridiculous amount to do anything. I used to use the background removing feature. My favorite feature on the app. But now they want me to pay $12.99/month. Did the free trial to see if it will even still work the same and it won't let you do it. What a rip-off.
The computer version is Excellent... this app version is completely useless now... can't add graphics, can't add texture to background, can't do basic aspects of the actual program
I have enjoyed PicMonkey on my PC and finally have some time to work with the app on my android phone. So far so good.
I really love it one of my favorite I've been using for a long time won't it bad about it I'm kinda sad that didn't give it for free no more are I used to do all kinds of stuff more stuff but this app you can't use a lot adds on your stuff you have to pay for it and that's very sad and I wish they could bring it back for free because I don't have the money to pay to get this app On your computer I use on my phone but I wish they could put back on the keeput it back on On the computer for free
I hate app that say they are free then won't let you try until you out credit card info in.this is one of those apps. No free trial unless you give your info. In response to the apps response. No I will not contact you. You can't resolve this for just me. To many other apps out there for me to spend my money on then waste my time with greedy little companies trying to data mine information.
I have used Pic Monkey since 2014. Since the last update it has not been good. I cant select pictures to edit. I pat $120 a year and have not been able to use this for the past 2 weeks.
Not my most favourite editing app. But it's not the worst I've seen. It gets the job done with alot of features available... But one thing that sticks out that I find to be most distateful is how the menus screens seem to closely resembke that of picsarts menus. Quite literally it looks like the same person put both layouts together.. but they worked a bit harder on picsarts lol
Useless on my Samsung phone! Will not let me log in. I've reset my password. Still will not let me log in. Says to "tap support in navigation drawer" but it is not giving me an option other than log in with email, Facebook, Google etc or to sign up for an account!
Since joining Shutterstock my app no longer works and freezes my phone. Prior to that it was a really good app.
I installed it a few minutes ago , it is laggy and it has already crashed on me twice.
the app keeps crashing every time I try to save to the hub. It saves to my photos just fine. when it crashes, the message tells me that I should re-install once PicMonkey fixes what is wrong. By the way, I've been a PicMonkey user for 12 years and I've already deleted and re-installed the app 5 times.
been a user for years and years now and im not sure what happened, but every time I try to edit a photo on the app, it won't even load my photo before closing without warning. I seriously have to try at least 8 times and pray it doesn't close during an edit. please fix this problem!! because I absolutely love this program when it works.
