Pilot Speech Translator

I love the idea, I think these have great potential, but the ability to translate well and seamlessly can be difficult just like any other application. Plus the is about a 2-3 second pause before the earpiece translates for toy. You could almost get away with just using an app to translate for you instead of using the head phones. As well as I can imagine it will be a bit of an annoyance trying to get someone who doesn't speak your language to get them to download the app and then try and to speak to them. Still have a lot to improve upon.

A great comcept. The devices work well, and the software is (relatively) easy to set up and use. Biggest failing remains that it can't yet be used offline. When traveling (the times you would use the product the most), finding wifi network to use this product is challenging. For this reason I can't yet recommend the product. It's a novelty until it can br used offline. i have other translators that allow download of languages for offline use, so it's technically an easy fix.

This software was very ordinary at translating Japanese to English, with the speaker talking slower than normal. The hardware is ok, but the software does not translate well for normal spoken speed or volume level. The volume of microphone can be increased to fix the volume issue. I think that Siri or Google translate may work better than this. I hoping the software will get updates.

Total waste of money and time and very poor customer service! Stick with Google translate it actually works. In order to have a conversation with someone the other person must have a smart phone down load their app and go from they well when I tried that it did not work not to mention not all people have a smart phone. The volume was terrible and hard to hear and I could not find a way to change it, it is very clunky. In short this was a complete waisted of money and time. Very disappointing!

Hardware connects to the phone, remains connected but app says disconnected... shouldn't be a big deal... except your can't change the volume on these pos's without app connection. Download the Google translate app instead, seems awfully expensive for a set of headphones you can't adjust the volume on, let alone utilize their original purpose

It is what it is... Haven't been happy since i bought them cause one ear has an extremely low volume & been like that since the day after i bought them.. i use them for music and to translate English into Spanish at work.... And these things have such poor sound quality its pathetic & as for the translater part??.. id rather just use Google translator cause it is more convenient

I have had colleagues speak Mandarin and it captures the language very well but doesn't translate to English very well. Needs work to capture people speaking quickly and picks up every other word at times. You should make an offline mode that dont require paired earbuds because the capture of speech is decent.

still does not translate Korean well. scale from 1 to 10, 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. I give it a 3 for at least getting a few words right. And translating in real time is really really slow. doesn't pick up all the words. so you can not have a free flow conversation. So I am looking for something better.

I used to highly recommend this app to everyone including those I communicated with on this. But now it seems more complex to use and doesn't even translate or pick up words properly as of a new update, I would really like this to be fixed as it was an incredible tool in travel

This pilot thing with this ear headset is a waiste of money. I bought it because i have half of mi family chinese. First the setup of the pilot head sets is a nightmare. Second once you finally managed to setup the bluetooth ear buddy and the software the translator do not translate well so me and my wife end up to do not use it since the chinese to english translation does not work very well. Sane for the chinese italian translation. Very disapponted.

When I first crowdfunded the Pilot, it stated that we wouldn't need the other party to download the app. Why is that problem not fixed yet?? What a waste of money. I am definitely telling all my friends to not buy this. There's no point to using this if the other party has to also download the app.

I have an s8+. The pilot says it's connected, but it does not recognize any language I try. I have tried German, Spanish and italan. This is really a bad system for the price.

When typing the text to be translated on an Android phone, i cannot see what i have typed because the keyboard covers the text. The old layout was much better than the new one.

I bought these when they were still a start up before released. They never worked right and connecting was hard.

I have purchased these when they first came out and I have always have a difficult time pairing to my phone! When it does pair, they are out of sync with each other!

need to fix application... w the earbuds being over 200/300 Canadian dollars im sure dealing w the app. shouldn't take much. app wont let me get passed entering my phone number its says all ready registered.. its really a waste of time if the application dont work... thanks for wasting my time and money..

Amazing! I backed during the kickstarter and I am so glad things worked out. I am so happy with the device it's only got 4 star just because no new languages have been added yet but I hope we will see some in the near future

When I first bought these the app was easy to use. now it does not react. i will go back to google because your app is worthless. I will sell the earphones at the flea market good bye rubbish

I purchased the red Pilot earbuds about 10 months ago and the earbuds are constantly having an issue maintaining sync with each other. One earbud is consistantly not functional

This app cannot understand Italian. I'm literally having people shout into the app in italy. It's embarrassing and frustrating to use. Shame. High hopes and high cost, wasted.

I have been very frustrated with the Pilot. It will only translate a few words then stalls. It is very slow. I am very disappointed. I am living in Italy and was really hoping this would help.

Appalling. The buds won't pair with each other. The instructions are hopeless. Not trying very hard at all...

Both hardware and software are extremely buggy and unreliable.

Translation speed is too slow so if the japanese speaker speaks in normal speed,the translation is not possible

Add more and more languages and please make more product / enable offline mode These would be amazing im a traveler and I need this hahha

cant uninstall cant find in app list, cant use with earbuds that are the exact same as pilot but not its own brand.

It cuts off the voice translation. Too expensive to perform so poorly.
