After the update last year I couldn't find any of my hikes. It took about 3 months for them to show up again. I think the app had changed and they were all being uploaded to the cloud. This is a great app. I can go on a 3 hour hike and still have lots of battery life left on my phone.
This app used to work really well, but now, whenever I record a route, save it, and go back to review it, it's gone. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to see if that would fix it. It did not. And in the process, I lost more than a year's worth of recorded trails.
Whatever was done with the Feb 2020 update, my usual 3.5 km walk along the lake recorded over 8km and showed us walking across the lake twice, which considering the lake isn't even frozen, is quite the feat. I also hate the entire new UI. I liked this app because of its simplicity but I think after this update, I'll be switching apps.
I haven't been able to loggon and use my subscription since the first week the Portal to reset won't work. And they already charged an extra month subscription.
A 13 miles bike ride became a full 27 miles on pinroute.
This app looks great and those parts that are complete seem to work fine. Clearly this is the work of a talented developer but it also seems to be only 90% complete. A guide would be helpful and the website is far from finished. There are a few odd bit that make little sense such as get link code. Stick with it dev and finish off an almost complete very good application.
App is great but incomplete. First of all, there should be some account, not only related to the device. It needs to have synchronization with server. Also, there is no terrain view. For the hiking that's the most important thing. It has potential but not so useful.
So few trails. I think its based on users and there is not much in my areas
The only reason I downloaded was to have a tracker with the ability to add pictures at POI, this app crashes every time you try. 1/10.
Saved me multiple times from getting lost in the thickest forests and jungles.
I used it up north in Maine with no signal or wifi and it worked perfect!
I found the accuracy of my pinpoints was off but otherwise a fairly user-friendly app.

Could be a better tablet app if map rotated to better landscape presentation with label rotation if possible. For both phone and tablet use we would like the ability to zoom in to a site and add a pin with full description, etc. Also, would like the saved presense to be able to include sattelite background or not, dynamically. It worked really well on a 500 mile Amtrak train trip to capture the route, speeds, elevations, etc. It is a wonderful presentation aid.
When you change the name and/or the icon of a route, the changes do not show on the "my routes" list.
Could not import my KML trail. Uninstalled.

Pinroute used to work real good but don't know what has happened to It here lately it will not load any maps we used it for trail riding. And now it won't load any of the maps of the trails like it used to. No longer a good app. It will still tell you how far you have gone and how long you have been out . But no map of the trails.
