This is ChinesePod's recommended app for learning pinyin, made to help you easily get a grasp on Chinese pronunciation. The app has two modes: a "Learn" mode and a "Table" mode. easy for me to learn pinyin.....i love it
If there is no exact English equivalent, say how to use the tongue to make the consonant sound. The explanation of how to pronounce c is not satisfactory as it doesn't sound exactly like ts in hats, cats, etc.
