NOTE : Nougat OMS ROMs
Theme requires full substratum oms theme engine supported Android 7.1 AOSP ROMs. Theme will not work if you are on stock Samsung, stock lineageOS, Oxygen OS or Omni Nougat based ROMs.

About the Android Oreo & Pie Support
PitchBlack Oreo & Pie provides full support on Pixel Stock, LineageOS, OxygenOS and any other AOSP Oreo & Pie based ROMs
First Step : You should choose your android overlay version
Installation for Android Oreo and Pie
• Select your android version
• Select all and configure the selected apps with the required options there.(System apps must be selected, like Settings, Android System and SystemUI)
• Tap on build and update
• Reboot your device
• Go into overlay manager and enable installed overlays
• For change or update QS tile colors on Oxygen OS, go into settings/display/accent (select applied PitchBlack accent) repeat the same after every PitchBlack theme change.
What isn't working on Oreo & Pie (Stock) Roms?
• Some notification text colors can not be inverted, that's why added light notifications as default on Oreo & Pie ROMs (dark option is still available)

Q : How do I apply it?
A : All you have to do is navigate to the substratum application and enable+ build the overlays after tapping on the PitchBlack tile. If you already have a theme applied, head over to the overlay manager and disable all overlays before you enable+build PitchBlack than reboot your device

This is a great and highly extensive skin, very happy over all. Would give 5 stars if not for the buggy Google search theming. The widget is totally is totally different, suggested text is wierd looking with shadows and worst of all, in search results the search categories are 2 mm off the actual search bar with empty space between and actually covering the actual results.
A great theme.. Amazing variety of theme accents. A vast variety of app support. Only pain is reapplying the entire theme after an update (takes 2-3 minutes) but wouldn't really consider that as it is the same with every other theme. Some automated method would be great though. Overall an amazing theme.
Please rethink the ALL CAPS on notification actions. It looks really out of place. Also, the theme changing button backgrounds (such as in incoming call notifications) to square instead of rounded looks really bad on stock Android 10. Other than those 2 things, this is probably the best looking theme that supports Android 10.
Nice theme of you want a amoled kind of black, everything looks really good, just one little nickpick. when playing music, youtube, etc the album art on the notification shade its not fully cover, since there is a little space at the edge of the album art
Unable to apply the theme after repeated trials. Even had to factory reset my device cause it got stuck while applying the theme, and didn't turn on when switched off. After resetting my device, I tried again. But it showed "Can't connect to Andromeda" while the andromeda status showed connected ,and other themes can be applied. One plus 5 user ,stock ROM.
Love your theme. It works perfectly for my phone. Only drawback is that there is no theming support for Chrome. I have read that Google has encryted Chrome's resources which prevents installation of overlays on it. Well, maybe someday you can bring theme support for it. Keep up the good work!👍 Update: Now there is theme support for Chrome!!
One of the best out there. The response to your emails are fast, the colours are wonderful and unique. The fact that the theme spreads all around the 3rd party apps that you install is amazing. From discord, YouTube and many more.
The only substratum theme that's worth paying for. Guess that tells you how good this theme is. Frequent updates make sure that this works even with updated apps since some themes that don't get regularly updated face a lot of issues. And as they say, Once you go PitchBlack , you never go back. 😉
App is Phenomenal!!! My only gripe is that whatsapp has a orange bar when u swipe right to respond... Everything else with whatsapp works fine.. But when you swipe right on someone's message to show that ;that's the message your responding to, the whole thing turns bright orange and stays that way. This App is great!! & would be 5 stars otherwise.
Good theme, but it gets rid of a lot of UI details that are nice to have, like separators. The Messages overlay makes it impossible to distinguish RCS from SMS, and I wish there was a slightly brighter version of the Dark Grey themes to make them more readable in bright light.
Did not work on Resurrection Remix v7 Andriod 9 (Pie), luckily play store had a refund button for me. I didn't realize that this was just a skin that works for some apps and not others anyway, I'll stick with the default look of RR v7.0.1 and just enable dark mode where I can, in my opinion much better. This should be free anyway, I see no reason for the price.

The most beautiful theme I came across since I started with Android customisation. From Resurrection Remix on Galaxy S2(cm theme engine) to now, its a blessing for AMOLED displays. Till date Pitch Black has been my all time favorite theme. I'll never be bored with this theme. Keep up the good work! 👍🔥❤️
Everytime update rolls out for any of the app I'm using with pitch black overlay, the app crashes. I've to disable all the overlays and setup them all over again. Otherwise this theme is perfect.
Was one of my favorite themes. But on Pie. The white notifications are not exactly white and the black color when swiping notification. Looks ugly. As notification are most important part of using the device.
one of the best themes around. lots of customisation. only one complain: it removed the fading gradient behind the quicksettings pannel. it would be nice to have this or atleast have a toggle for it! thanks for concidering
this is one of the best theme i tried so far. i used it a long time back when CyanogenMod was there. recently i came across and start using it. everything is perfect, except poor communication between developer(s) and users. but understably that is okay. thank you for this great theme!
Just bought this, the colour and overall theme looks really slick and cool.. the problem with Google system apps appeared again, it seems fine at first, but then it crashed again
this theme is cool & i really like it. However, for some Google applications such as Playsore, Gmail and others, the status bar icon color is dark, and also some of the icons in the application turn to dark gray when others are white or red.
The best theming app for substratum. it's got so many color options and it looks really good compared to all the other themes on Google play. It's so dope looking

A completely slick UI within all things that are themed. Also the Telegram group goes above and beyond to help me, when it is needed.
Very nice theme! Best I have used yet. But the WhatsApp theme is disgusting and Google assistant ALWAYS crashed, doesn't matter the version/device. For WhatsApp and Google I am using Swift Black. And there is no Samsung Internet theme. For that, too, I am using Swift Black.
Amazing theme, best one I've found, compatible with a whole lot of apps, bought it years ago, very frequent updates... If you like dark themes get this you won't regret it!
Having a problem with latest update, I'm selecting black Netflix colour and it keeps reverting to dark grey g cyan theme. I'm not using root I'm using the Andromeda script on stock have not had this problem before till the latest update. On 8.0 oms
Really an amazing amoled black theme along with different material dark backgrounds. It is constantly updated and well maintained. Enjoying this on my op6!!
Edit: Your suggestion worked. Thanks! I have changed my rating. This theme is gorgeous and definitely worth every penny you spend on it. Previous message: I am using OnePlus 3, Oxygen OS. WhatsApp overlay just doesn't seem to work. Either the texts are invisible (because the background is too dark) or the settings are. Please fix this. The only reason I bought this theme was the fact that WhatsApp doesn't have a night mode.
