Pitched Tuner

Pitched Tuner has been designed by musicians for both beginners and professionals. It helps you to quickly and easily tune your instrument using the microphone on your Android device.
It works well for a wide range of instruments: strings, woodwind, brass, guitars, voice, and more. Even very low bass strings can be tuned.

Simple controls and clear visuals make the app great for beginners. Responsive and precise algorithms provide professional level accuracy for more advanced players.

Hands free tuning means you can tune all of your strings without ever having to touch the screen
- you don't want to have to reach for your guitar tuner in between tuning each string, and now you don't have to.

Pitched Tuner displays a traditional tuner needle and dial. It clearly shows the frequency being played as well as the nearest note and error in cents. The dial then allows you to easily track small changes in pitch. A separate volume indicator tells you how clearly the microphone is picking up your instrument sound.

The app can also sound a reference note which you can use to tune your instrument by ear (which is always a good skill to practice), or as a target note when you are re-stringing your guitar/violin/etc. You can choose from a pure sine sound, which is precise but quiet, or a simulated piano, guitar or clarinet.

You can very the reference tuning pitch away from the common 440Hz. You can also configure the app to adjust for non-concert pitch instruments, for example the B-flat trumpet.

There's a choice of light or dark themes and you can adjust the volume sensitivity of the app for quieter instruments and noisy environments.

We hope you find Pitched Tuner useful. You can always contact us at [email protected]

Superb for proper players. Was using another, but would only tune for standard guitar tuning. Changed, and that was so innacurate made Led Zepplin's rain song sound like a bad jazz cover. Finally this app did what I needed. It's simple: hears the note (and if sharp etc) shows frequency (Hz) and has useful needle allowing you very accurate tuning. This is the app you need if you are a musician.

This's annoying because, my Keyboard is set to C3 as Middle C but this displays a different Key. This thing also jumps all over the place as well, is that supposed to happen? It's alright i guess. I'm not gonna give it much higher until i know if it's worth keeping. We shall see. I might keep it just for fun.

One of the best tuners - the needle moves slowly and consistently and doesn't jump all over the place like other apps. Also its chromatic which is food for easily switching up tunings and instruments. Good clean interface, too.

One of the best tuners for bass. Tried a lot of app tuners, but this and the tuner on ultimate guitar tabs our the only ones I found that read the hertz correctly. Especially in lower tunings.

This is a great app. It's super accurate and I have never experienced a single glitch or bug. I use it to tune both acoustic and electric guitars and also mandolins. It can also be used unconventionally to detect notes in skngs or lead lines and solos to reverse engineer into chords. I've used numerous tuning apps, but over the years I've stuck with this one. 5 stars all around!

An app that can even measure the frequency of your voice precisely. I'm impressed. New features may be implemented. Simplistic approach is ok, but casts a shadow on the precision of the app. You can use it to tune your instruments reliably. As I've said it even shows the frequency of your voice precisely. Well done!

Great tuner. My last tuner app changed, became covered in ads, and it took me five or so apps between finding this one. It's fast, the ads are unobtrusive and don't slow down the tuning. Literal only downside to me is I don't really like the floating needle and would rather it be a bar graph or something. The option would be nice.

This is a great tuner and drone app! But because the sound through the phone was too quiet to be heard, I hooked my phone up to a speaker so I can practice scales as loud as I please up against the drone. If you don't have a speaker handy or you don't feel like connecting your speaker to your phone every time you practice, I'd suggest not installing this app if the drone is a big reason you want to get it. But otherwise, from my experience, it works wonderfully and I highly recommend it.

I have been using it for microtonal music and it's been working great, the best tuner I've used so far. There are a few issues with the purchase though: On my older phone (Android 8), the ads were still showing after a purchase. On my newer phone (Android 11), the app crashes when the ads show. EDIT: My purchase keeps getting refunded every 3 days and need to rebuy.

It's fantastic for guitar players.. ♥️♥️ my guitar was out of tune & i couldn't play well. so, firstly I bought tuner device but it wasn't good at all.. i felt disappointed about playing guitar until i found this app & it's very good and precise.. i wanna thank the creators a lot ✨

Excellent so far. Well designed and easy to use. I only rated it 4 stars because the options on the pull-down menu on the left (metronome, etc) are not integrated with the app even after I downloaded and installed them. It keeps sending me to a download link on the Play Store, and I have to open them as individual apps. Am I missing something? Or can this be added to a future release?

It is hard to find a good tuner app with a drone feature. Pitched Tuner has an easy interface with a few different drone options including sine wave, clarinet, keyboard, and guitar tones. The drone feature also has a range of 4 octaves. My only complaint is the drone rearticulates at regular intervals, which occasionally disturbes or distracts me from my practice excersices.

A good app for what it does, but could be a real standout with one simple tweak. What this app does: One view allows you to play a selected note. The other view is a frequency needle, useful for tuning instruments or checking my singing pitch for a particular note. But the needle display could easily be much better. As it is, the needle's display range is narrow, so it jumps around too much to follow a whole song. It would be better as an octave wheel capable of following notes of a whole song.

Gives me proper tuning for my instrument. I'm trying to tune a guitar to a shamisen's chords for some proper oriental music, so it's been a bit of a search! Thank you plenty, mabuhay!

Good simple app for showing me where my voice is at with notes. Can be a little sensitive which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it occasionally picks up wrong notes when attempting to measure extremely low frequencies (as in 0th octave notes). Otherwise, a very decent app. Wouldn't mind if it showed wavelength in real time to measure the sustainability of a note but that's more of a nitpick.

couldn't give this app a higher rating because it does all that you need. and it gives you a variety of ways to do it depending on who you are. I was always by ear myself and when I have this sounding the notes to me, I remember that I always wished I had something like this back in the day when I tune along with my cassette tapes. Megadeth Metallica was always good for an open E at the beginning of a song that rings out for a while but I still had to stop and push rewind and start it over.

It was great for helping me find some of my whistle register range.. C6 - F7 this app was able to detect, but anything past that I feel it couldn't, so I switched to a spectrogram. But I loved using this regardless.

Custom tuning is behind a pay wall AGAIN. This is my 4th tuner app and you have to pay just to make a custom tuning in all of the apps that I've tried, I thought this would be the only good app that doesn't do it, but of course you do. Stupid money hungry developers.

Wow! Install and play! (Yes, I've got my A tuning fork with me, but just sometimes I need check-help with the lower strings, and this week I have no access to a piano, which is why I downloaded.) So: the CGDA is intuitive, and like carrying four tuning forks, which was all I wanted. But in addition to that the visual displays - "compass-needle" and digital - are excellent: I can foresee myself doing vocal exercises on them. Progress through technology, as they say. Thank you!!

Thie is absolutely excellent. It has been so hard to find a reliable tuning app that is chromatic and not restrictive. For a free app this is amazing. I want to give you money for a job well done, so I will gladly. I use many guitars with many different tunings. This with metronome beats are essential for my practice.

I recently bought a rare Rippen grand piano - the whole piano is cast from aluminium - and did the refurbishment myself. This tuner helped a lot to tune it, even though I never tuned a piano before. The tuning app shows a full scale of all the notes which some other apps don't show. The app is easy to use and you only need patience to tackle a big job.

First off, i live in New England and the humidity levels are in constant flux. This can cause a plethora of tunning issues. However, I use this app to tune a set of 5 Toca custom delux Tumbadoras(congas)to specific pitches/intervals. The tunner does a great job of not picking up on the many unpredictable overtones that a natural skin head and oak drum produce. This was not the case with other pay to use tunning apps. Easy to use, effevtive, and all for no initial charge....A++ !!!

Quite literally better off just tuning by ear, it'll sound ten times better than anything this app claims is 'in tune'. Return to strings that were apparently perfectly in tune only to find out they're way too sharp, then notes that say they're way too sharp but are obviously in tune. Frustrating, app can't seem to make it's mind up.

So far it actually seems really fine. Really useful as I return to playing the guitar after being out of action for some years. I also use it to assist in training my voice, and getting myself back up to how I was before and overall acting in a capacity where I gain confidence in things.

This is the best app I have found for tuning my instruments after trying 3 other apps. You can tune normally or choose one of the many instrument presets. The best thing about this app is that the pitch pipe function is free. Also the pipe has the option for a continuous note, (sine wave) while other pitch apps play a brief note.

Great tuning app. It has a great selection of instruments and after choosing one you also select a specific note to lock the tuning for that one making it easier to notice of you too low or high. Also if you tap on the note it with play it which helps in developing the ear to tune by ear instead.

Great tuner and very easy to use. I appreciate that the note Hertz value is displayed as well as a musical note value. One thing I would like to see in the paid version of the app is the ability to create tunings by Hertz rather than note value, for use with non-standard tuning systems.

Simple and easy to use, helps tune with an easy interface!
