I've been using this as my tuner for over two years. Recently though, the low E on the app its self would not stay still, like it was shaking. It was only the E for a while, then the A string, and now the D. I'm not sure if it's my phone or not, but it still gets the job done. I use it every time I pick up my guitar

This tuner is so much better than every standalone tuner I purchased in the past and far better than any other online tuner or tuner app I've used. Standalone tuners were always expensive if you wanted one that was feature-rich, but for free or a fraction of the price for the full ad-free version you get more and better, easy to use features not found in any other apps or in any standalone tuner I've seen. The more than reasonable price of this app is well worth the investment. This is the tuner for you.

I've played banjo for 40 years and used practically every battery powered tuner known to man. This app-tuner beats them all. I use it 99% of the time and love it. The only drawback is that I can't use it if I'm standing up and playing...unless there is a place that I can lay my phone. Really, this app is terrific!

Fantabulous! I've tried several tuners for their speed, accuracy, feature level and this is the only one that made me open my wallet. The ONLY THING I would like it to offer is more tunings for Guitar without me having to program a bunch in. For instance I'm surprised that Nashville or DADDAD or DADGAD tunings, and others weren't included in the Pro pack.

UPDATE App is broken in the latest android update and after installing some alternatives they seem to be broken as well By far the most effective, accurate, and extensive stringed instrument tuner out there. I started with the free version and bought the pro and I don't buy many apps. I would hug the developer if i could. Best app hands down. Running it on my Samsung Galaxy S5

The free version was an excellent app until the latest update. Now the tuner has been made to be anti user-friendly...there is a color wheel associated with the frequency that is hard to read .. it is my guess that it was made this way to encourage users to pay for the pro version wich allows for different tuner appearances.

My preferred tuning app. A little annoying with the nag screens but all the tuners have that, and this one is slightly less annoying than the others. I like that this one shows you exactly what note you're playing, making it useful for any instrument, not just guitar. Used it for guitar, dulcimer, auto harp, ukulele.

This is a great tuner for my guitars, especially for getting the intonation right. My guitars have never sounded better. I'm also using it for my pedal steel, which requires precise tuning to within a few cents. Some reviewers complain about using the tuner in a loud setting. However, it's possible to make a cable to plug your guitar into your phone's headphone/microphone jack. Works best that way. The app drains my phone's battery really fast, so I need to charge while using.

This app is so sensitive on my Samsung s4 that if I don't mute the other strings it will pick up their notes as they resonate with the string I'm tuning. It also tunes accurately in real time as the string changes pitch as you tune it. So far I'm very pleased.

I have already used this app (or the other app) for years now. Even my classmates, and friends use this app to tune their guitars. I don't see why some people dislike it, no problems here. This is a good app, and still it didn't let me down or dissapointed me. I'd recommend this to people who wants to fine tune their guitars quickly and also, I like how you have different features on tuning a guitar, that'll make this app less boring.... Good app, this is an app that is worth downloading.

For some reason the out of focus strobe display and waterfalls really hurt my eyes. The strobe maybe could have been implemented with sharper lines. Are the UI graphics just extremely pixelated? I would also like to change that tuner display font! One year later: Ultimately uninstalled for the above reasons, plus ambivalence by the developer, plus several other tuners that lack some features but are easier on the eye. When you have to spend lots of time looking at something, like a tuner or a wife, you weigh beauty alongside brains. Sorry ladies.

This app is great and responsive. You can tune guitar within a cent of perfect. It is free to use, but you can buy extra things for a dollar each, or the whole lot (worth $6) for $3. Great for guitar learners. You can even speak/sing and see the notes you are singing/speaking.

Programming and ideas are very nice, but graphic design is awful. It would be nice if you could work with some UI and UX designer on this app. I'm leaving this app just because of its looks. I prefer worse app with better looks than better app that looks like crap. Sorry for that, but its true. People like good looking apps more than bad ones.

If you try this app, the free one works fine, but for the small extra charge to open all of the facilities, you really are getting the Rolls Royce of tuner apps. The only thing that could make it better would be a vibration pick-up for use in noisy places, but that is a failing of the phone, and not the app.

I feel bad for not paying for this app.. Tuning up, and using it to match my voice to notes.. I can see if I'm sharp or flat singing.. Improve on how long I can hold my note. Helps to improve upon pitchy-ness and sustain, and tune my guit.. For what it is and what you can do with it 5stars all the way... and its free.. Download this one. Thanks good work.

I had previously bought the All In one package, but on a previous phone. Now when I click "Restore previous purchases" the app shows a loading icon for half a second before disappearing, and I'm still left without the features I had paid for. I'm not really interested in paying every time I reinstall the app. How do I fix this? Help! I love the app, mind. I recommend it to everyone who needs a tuner app. My previous rating was 5 stars, and I'll naturally make it 5 stars again if you guys can help me :D

I play the 5 string banjo and I must tell you they always need to be tuned lol. This really makes my life easier. I just wished I would have discovered this app before buying a peterson strobe tuner (which if you know anything about tuners peterson tuners are not cheap lol). Anyway good job with this app!!!!

*Disclaimer: I have not tried any clip on tuner as of this review.* I've tried many other tuning apps, and this one is the only one that can tune my classical guitar, my 12-string guitar, and my mandolin. My mother, who has been teaching music for more than 30 years and has perfect pitch (a curse, as she puts it), says the accuracy is excellent for a chromatic tuner. I also recommend buying the pro version from the beginning. Excellent app! Side note: my children scream at the C4 pitch.

I have a old asf guitar in my back closet that's always been unturned n I have always put off trying to play guitar because it was unturned. With this app I tuned it I'm like 3 minutes the user interface If super easy like overall 11/10

I've been using this app to tune all of my guitars for a month now and suddenly, the mic won't pick up any sound. I really like this app and don't wanna go searching for another.

this app deserves a five star for me. the best and easiest way to tune in your guitar absolutely fantastic. if you are a beginner or even if you don't know anything about guitars, this is the perfect app for you guys i used it everytime my guitar is out of tune coz its always getting out of tune. try it to believe it!

I searched long and hard for a good guitar tuner app. This is the only one I have come across that reminds me of the old analog tuners. It does not restrict you to standard tuning. You can tune your guitar any way you want with this tuner.

This is the best most awesome tuner app. And someone submitted bitching about ad's I haven't​seen an ad on this basic free app. Use it every day. I have the full paid app on my other Droid and it's the best. Practically anything and everything with strings you can use this with. If there is one out there better I don't know where it is.

Don't bother with this app. It was once upon a time simple, elegant and flat out terrific until some app nerd gave into a need to recklessly destroy a thing of beauty. If you're reading this, move on. Lots of better apps out there.

SUPERB! Have tried a few, this is genius. Use the lines and it says "in tune" when it's close enough, check the pointers at top and the offsets to get it perfect if you're ocd :) I think red and green should not be line colours tho, I expected red to turn green but now I know it's PERFECT :)

Very handy. Not only can I tune all my instruments (guitar s, bass, uke, violin, harp, voice), but also map custom instruments I used for a Peruan flute souvenir. I also have tuned my classical guitar to baroque tunings, which is very rewarding. And finally it coaches me when I'm practicing my violin fundamentals. Very handy, many presentations, just get it

Smooth, lag free, lots of features and accurate. I've tried dozens of tuner apps on my smartphone and tablet. This is the only one that works on both. I can have either device running in power saving mode, with CPU scaled back, and it's just smooth. Alternate tunings work perfect as do custom tunings. Everything is easy to access. The highest praise I can give an app is to keep it on my devices year after year. This is one of those apps, Thank you for your dedication in support of it!

Wouldn't detect the right strings.. Ended up breaking one of them listening to this app which asked me to tune it more. Not fun. Not fun at all.

I've waited months to be able to play my acoustic guitar again. I downloaded this app to help me tune my guitar and ultimately helped break one of my strings by telling me it was still out of tune. Blindly I listened and continued, then boom. Broken G string and much sadness.
