Connect to servers running on non-standard http or https ports
Accept invalid (wrong host name) or self signed server certificates if required
server Certificate pinning is supported (verify certs against a local copy)
View images at a resolution optimised for your screen (or select the one you want).
Offline read only view of your server
Show and allow zoom into images of any size available on the server
View MP4 videos (others should work too, but I've not tested other formats)

The intention is to enhance the user interface progressively, and one of the users, David Klement, has kindly provided some suggestions for screen layouts going forward which I have started using from version 1.3.95 and will no doubt be taking more ideas from. The proposals are available in full:

It's quite good, much better than the official app. Loads pictures quickly. Only gripe would be that it would be great if the home and back buttons could be displayed when viewing pictures.
Well worth the payment and supports this honest developer. Has advantages even over the so called official version. There are a few tiny bugs but overall it works very good as a replacement for g photos that will impose limits soon. Self host piwigo on a quota free server and use this app equals win.
Thank you Thank you THANK YOU .... I am using Piwigo for years and years and the app that was released by Piwigo was useless for a long time. Now finally an app that works. My gallery got 15k+ photos and uploading / sorting via PC is a pain - so convenient to just upload via app
So far it's a struggle. Please add a show password button on the password field. Thanks to the developer my experience has improved very much!
Excellent piwigo on the go. I installed it on all the family's devices, now they browse photos much more efficiently than via browser.
100% worth your money. This is the best available (Android) app for Piwigo. You can tell that the developer uses the app themselves.

Have a valid ssl certificate but gives me a certificate chain error Couldn't connect due to the error and no documentation to fix it

While I had some initial issues regarding messages showing too frequently, when reported, the developer immediately addressed my concerns. Very happy with the level of support.

Just what I was looking for. The developer is very very responsive to issues. Fixed mine same day and now happy. Highly recommend if you have a Piwigo gallery. Would be great with a search function on tags etc. (Hint hint)

After working over 20 years in web development, this is the most responsive software author/developer I have come across. Lots if Easter eggs - long press, swipe up or down. A very capable app that let's me take my Piwigo content on the road. With the amazing Note 9 camera, I am able to add quality images to my site at will.
