Pixel Studio - Pixel art editor, GIF animation

The easiest art program, and incredibly charming. Goes above and beyond in little ways without sacrificing it's usability as a pixel art app and simplicity. Very fun, and you don't have to be a programmer to customise it to your best work practice. Love how I can change the hotbar, which has every tool I need and more, how I can resize the image whenever I like, and all from within the app itself. feeling really lucky to have such a perfect pixel art app on my phone.

this is honestly the best pixel art app I've ever used, the option to animate, layering, adding custom colors on an easy to use pallet, it's easy to figure out how to use the tools and it has so many. the developer did an amazing job, other pixel apps I used had so many problems that were so frustrating like closing out randomly because it crashed and losing all my progress but this one retrieves your work in case you accidentally close out yourself.

Better than any other mobile pixel art apps I've used. Granted I haven't used many, once I found this it's the only one I've used since. It could be a little more user friendly, there's a handful of things that could use a quality of life tweek here and there, but even with that in mind, still an easy 5 stars. You feasibly could use this as your only pixel art tool and I doubt it would hold you back at all. The ads also don't disrupt regular usage of the app, half the time I forget it has them!

This pixel art software is super good!! Don't get me wrong, the potential is pretty high but there's just one thing that always kinda annoys me and its that there's no way to group layers together ( to change more than one layer's opacity at the same time) so it would be absolutely amazing if you added a group layer feature :] ( edit: it would also be rlly great if the canvas limit could be raised for when posting art :D )

I absolutely love this, it provides a great amount of tools, although it is hard to get specific sizes of brushes. overall great app and would recommend!Edit: the critic about the pen sizes was on me, but I will say that the interface can be hard to understand at times. Also so far I've seen no ads pop up which is always a plus.

It is a very competently made pixel art app for android, which are generally very tough to find to begin with for whatever reason, so it is nice this app fulfills the niche well! Only suggestion id give is the ability to test out and place tilesets, which i initially thought would be a feature for the pro version (which turns out tile mode is a wrap-around tool to help make seamless patterns, which is nice in itself, but itd be nice to further its versatility).

I tried to cut something to paste onto the next layer but instead I hit copy on an empty area and it deleted everything hours of work gone and the option to undo, gone. my biggest problem with this app is the lack of text. I have an extremely difficult time understanding the symbols making it absolutely frustrating to use. However this is the best pixel art app out there and I would love to watch the app grow! Please add some text to the menus, for clarity purposes. Thank you!

Out of all the pixel art apps I've used, this is the best for both the drawing and the animation. Bought the paid version as it was a fair price and definitely worthwhile for my usage of it. It's a bit complicated for someone who's looking for something simple, but I wasn't, so it's great!

the app is amazing!! I love the fact it pixels :). Also the reason is why I rated four stars is because you can't rotate the canvas, you should have that in settings where we can rotate the canvas! Overall, this is amazing!

My favorite pixel art app. The UI is beautiful and easy to use. And Making animation has never been easier. I can practice making pixel art on the go with Pixel Studio. Overall Strongly recommended!! If you are an expert or new to pixel art, doesn't matter. The app will give you the best experience no matter what 💯

this app is so much fun! as a traditional artist it's hard to draw with my fingers when using my phone on a standard drawing app, I didn't know if I'd be good at pixel art but I am and it makes drawing my ocs on my phone fun and easy! and it makes it look like a video game which is fun too! It also has an animation feature which is soooo much fun to watch your pixel art come alive, I'm so glad I found this <3.

This is amazing pixel art!!. Butvi give him 4 stars because of bug and i want to send feedback but he linked me to review when you don't save an art and open and other art and return it will be like glitch art but it is damn!!

I've tried all kinds of pixel art apps but none of them felt right. This is the only exception and it is wonderful with it's built-in community page. I even used it to make my profile picture. 100 out of 100. really recommend.

Has easy to use features that really improve the experience creating the art. The Options for canvas size are convenient for pixel art if you want you can just make your own size. Though when you save a resized image and you try to edit it again it just becomes too large or you end up drawing on 32x32 pixel art with a 128x128 canvas. There is a problem with the pixel network feature where if you colour art alot you will not be able to post it I think the cap should be res based instead as a fix.

Very very cool. Lots of tools and very intuitive to use. I'm new to pixel art but this app really helps walk you through its functions in "learn as you go" type of tutorials, that are to the point and very helpful. Very pleased with this app. Been using for about a month and just purchased the pro edition (the price is unbelievably reasonable!) Great work Mr. Developer. You've done well. All the best!!

i really like the tools. it has everything I wanted and even some more. although the sharing network is a little bit clumsy the actual tool in itself is more than satisfactory. there is a detailed layer function and customizable palettes, a lasso tool and many of the other tools that artists familiar with digital art will appreciate. considering it's free, it's a very good app

Easy to use pixel art software. I'm a beginner and so far this has brought me great joy to use. Bonus points if you're using a tablet with a keyboard and pen so you can use shortcuts and maximize precision. 11/10 would draw pixels again

really good, takes a bit to learn but comes easier as you use it. beginner friendly as there's really good tutorials. only thing I'll say is that the community is slightly more on the homophobic side but there are nice people to make up for that.

i find it alittle bit weird to move and zoom the camera, but thats mostly because im used to other drawing apps. the amount of ads in getting so far is pretty good, and the app works well. 👍

I LOVE THIS. I've always wanted to make animation, but it was always either paid, unnecessarily complicated, or only for PC. But this, it's great. It's the only thing I have enough skill to use, don't need to spend my money, or doesn't lag the absolute extreme on my tablet! Also if the creator is reading this, Know that you guys made a awesome job.

As much as I love using this app..it still has its annoying quirks. One of the biggest problems I've had is the fact that for whatever reason, reference images are forced to be the same pixel limit as the actual project? Even if the reference image isn't an actual part of it? I've had to cut a reference in half just to use it. Another thing is that my work doesn't get saved to my phone when I try to export it?

This art app does everything I need it to do. I'm developing my first pixel art game and it's definitely making animations easier. I love that I can do this from my phone instead of waiting to get behind my laptop at home. Great job! I'm very impressed with Pixel Studio.

This app's pretty good! A go-to for when I make pixel animations! Though, a quick suggestion I have is adding an audio feature for animations. Other than that though, it's perfect!

Exceptional app. Barely any ads. easy to use and understand. One thing missing that limits it from being absolutely perfect is no ability to group layers together without merging them.

It's fine but there's somethings I would definitely added in. First off is something to rotate the canvas, it does ache my fingers when I can't change the angle of the canvas to draw and I don't want to rotate my whole tablet, it does get annoying. That is my biggest compliment here. I would add a blending mode to help with shading, lighting, etc. Lastly, I think adding a clipping layer would be nice addition to the app. For my style, makes it easier to add color to my linework without going over the line. If I do missed these features in the app or if these features are in the Pro version, do tell. That's just my piece of thought of what I thought the app needed. I think it's good for the most part, just minus what I said.

I had a project going, but out of no where an entire layer disappeared. All I did was press the undo button to undo a minor part of it, but it erased the entire layer somehow. I tried using the redo button among others, but nothing recovered it. Very frustrating, since I had spent a lot of time on it. It has a lot of ads, though they don't bother me that much. It has a great layout and it's fun to use, but the bugs may, unfortunately, mess up your entire piece

Has a lot of different tools and they are all very easy and convenient to use. My only complaint would be that you can't undo/redo actions made to the reference image. This can be pretty annoying since for some reason it sometimes randomly selects the reference image layer, which makes me accidentally move it, and then it takes me ages to adjust it back to it's original position.

Lots of functionality for such a small UI real estate. I'm having fun making 8x8 art, and the built-in palettes help a lot! Hard to operate on split-screen, which is imagine people will want to try to work with a reference, so it needs another look at things like picking off the palette in split screen mode. of course this makes the UI half the size, making your job even harder, but it holds up OK.
