While this app is more useful than loading the website in a browser, I've had issues just loading up the app after afew uses. Loads up the splash screen then just hangs there for over 10 minutes while using data but not progressing past the splash screen. Wasted 300mb in data just letting it sit & load but nothing ever loads. Out of all the apps I use daily this one is the only one with a loading issue. Once this issue is resolved I'll change from a 2 star to a 4 star review as the app is nice.
It is really a good app for who loves anime and manga..there is a lot of collection of pictures and anime with greater quality. 🔴And i think it would better if there is a n option to bookmark illustration and manga seperately.
There have been too many times when the app just stops loading pages. I know it's not my wifi since every other app works fine using wifi or data. The funny thing is the same pages that won't load in the app WILL load in a browser page. There's no point in having the app if it doesn't work and forces you to use the desktop version. I'd use the desktop version if that's what I wanted. This app is hot garbage. Other people have made way better pixiv clients.
For art and illustration, it's great but for the non-japanese a translator would be a very useful feature. So that we can finally read novels.
Just the best place to be for quality art, and to share quality art. Only if you know how to find them that is. But yeah, very good site. Glad it has app to make things easier when I'm off my PC. 10/10 in my book
I love anime illustrations and this "social network" is the best to see endless illustrations. But it doesn't work well sometimes, the like button gets stuck sometimes.
App worked fine until today when I changed my password, now the app forces me to login only to take me to my browser and then trap me in a blank webpage when I do login. Fix your app. Edit: It works again.
Its a great app but with its completely unstable connection your better off going online if read i hope you find a solution to this because it dropps out saying "connection lost" and it hasnt but otherwise great app.
Doesn't show links to Booth content while the desktop web browser version does. Otherwise, very easy and intuitive to use if a bit minimalistic in design (I do miss the 2017 desktop browser version).
Really good place to represent your art, my only issue would be that you are forced to view art similar to what you like every time you like a particular post, this is really overwhelming as there are so many artworks to view and you cannot completely enjoy the art of one particular artist.
Premier website for anime art. The app could still use a little bit of work, I prefer the web interface right now.
It's an awesome app but I could do signing in without needing to use a browser like other apps. If they could just let us sign with just the app I would give this a five star rating!
This app is amazing. It runs well, allows people to share their work, and also gives you the option to find amazing art work regarding things you are interested in. The app shows you certain work based on what your preferences are and I personally find that incredibly convenient.
Everything's great just need to add the save image button on first screen beside share option instead of clicking on img and then saving it
This thing is not working at all... Suddenly stopped loading images, takes eons to download an image, doesn't show related works anymore, completely broken.
Idk why but soon as I installed and opened this app after 5 minutes of browsing my phone soft bricked itself, and that never happened before. Clearly this isn't optimized and it shouldn't be on the google playstore.
The swiping between pages isn't as smooth, but all in all, good app.
A great app for a great site. While I do wish Pixiv as a whole had a bit more to offer non-Japanese users, it's still an amazing art alternative to DA or Instagram (the latter especially if you're an NSFW artist). App version is simple and easy to use just like the actual site. Me likey. Me likey a lot.
I use the Pixiv site when I use the PC last year until the PC is unstable. When I got the tab, I installed the app here and it looks okay. But one thing (which is the reason why it's 4 stars instead of 5): why are R-18 ads appearing on a non-R-18 page? Even when viewing an all-ages artwork or even the home page, the NSFW ad shows up and I don't like it when this happens. Please fix it, thank you
Pixiv is such an amazing app, I love the concept of a social-media-like platform where you can post, like, and comment on art! But I do have two criticisms. The first is Pixiv's reporting system, it seems incomplete and definitely needs more work. The second is the loading issues I have. I can barely use Pixiv when I'm on mobile data, and sometimes I have issues with WiFi too. Hopefully this gets resolved so I can use Pixiv when I'm out and about. Either way, this app is still awesome
The app is decent, but downloading artworks are a coinflip. If you're lucky the artwork will actually download and if you're not you get an error pop-up. It's also not like you can retry downloading either as when you get the error pop-up on the artwork, it literally will not download anymore.
Sometimes has issues saving and/or loading images on wifi but not on mobile data. Which is very odd as the wifi is by far faster and stronger of a connection but sometimes I have to switch back to mobile just to get it to do stuff.
I love this app so much. It's easy to use, fun to interact with and I love the amount of art and artists on here. I can find pretty much anything, art or artist I want from this app. I also when I like an artwork or follow an artist, it gives me recommendations of arts or artists that I might like. Only thing I wish for is videos and for there to be gifs and videos with sound.
Excelent art work, needs to update search engine a bit, above all a great app to look at casualy and to get ideas
Good app to view art, although UI is a bit too old now. Also, Every now and then app loses connection failing the content to load properly. Have to restart the app to view the content. And also there's no reason to put Premium service to just see the Popular artwork. I mean we are here to see popular artwork right? Why charge for it? Please consider adding such a simple feature in Freemium service. Thank you.
