Love it , but I think that last update caused an issue. The drawing tools just stop working during the process - for example: I would choose green and it comes out faded like it has a high transparent element. The preview shows it's working but not on the main canvas. I hope this information helps, this is a great program and is my go to app for pixel art.

uninstalling for now but i like the UI. it's mostly pretty intuitive for me. however, it's a bit buggy, and if not buggy, it's unclear in its mechanics - two fingers was zooming and panning, which I expected, but sometimes suddenly it would be a command for changing brush size. I'm actually not sure if this was a glitch or the app being unclear with feedback - I seemed to fix it by clicking options and closing that menu. I also can't seem to reorder layers?

Pretty good for basic stuff, though there a fatal flaw that prevents me from recommending it; it has no copy and paste or cut tools, If you wanna copy something, you gotta redraw it from scratch, and if u wanna erase a large area, thats gonna take a long(er) amount of time. A devestating missing feature from an otherwise good pixelart app

Fantastic app, but I do have one problem and it's a big annoyance. When you leave the app, certain settings like the transparency grid size gets reset back to default. Makes it a chore to keep changing the settings back to how you want it each time when you open the app. Other than that, it's a really good app!

At first I was put off by the interface... Lots of controls, pixel art icons (ironic that I found them out of place), and just enough annoyance to make me unhappy. Combine that with no tutorial and a lack of documentation for the most part. However, it is the best pixel drawing app on Android that I have found by a wide margin. It has many useful drawing tools. The color palettes for various platforms is a nice touch. Performance is great (not that it is doing anything particularly difficult). Overall, worth donating.

Pros: - The best image editor I've found. You'd think things like copy, paste, resize canvas, and nearest neighbor resize would be standard, but this is the only editor I've tried that has them all. Cons: - The only thing it seems to be missing is brush size. I occasionally wish I could scribble with more than 1 pixel. - There's a bug where I can't scroll the options of some tools because I'm touching the options themselves. This can be worked around by touching the very edge of your screen.

Tried out 5 Pixel Art apps. This is in 3rd. It's very complete* with lots of tools and options to help you... That is if you can figure out how to work. It's very complicated to, example, exit the menu of one of three options of the bottom screen. It needs some revision and works. I get lost on how to escape, rather than how to navigate. Btw, navigating takes some time.

I dislike this app. It has so many issues. Like : I put a color and when I want to pixel with it gives me a default color ; Sometimes when I use only the eraser and the brush it switches : the eraser becomes the brush and the brush becomes the eraser. It's very annoying. ; I tried to save my done canvas and when I was right to click it said "Pixly has stopped". When I opened the app I lost all my coloring and it remained just the sketch. Please fix this. It made me very mad because I spent time for nothing. However, in rest I guess it's okay...? :/ Thanks for reading. Have a good day/night/evening.

I NEVER review apps.. But Pixly is hands down one of the best apps I've ever used. Intuitive controls and layout, features beating out computer apps, even has great animation options and sprite sheet compatibility!! To top it all off, this guy only shows an ad after you save your file to make sure you're not interrupted. Great app, great developer. 5 stars all day.

I really like Pixly and use it quite a bit. the interface is exactly as simple as it could be for my animation workflow. My only suggestion is to allow for selecting regions on multiple layers simultaneously. I find I often have to take a whole image and move it over a layer by layer when I want to slide the image over by a few pixels.

This used to be my go-to pixel art app, but recent bugs have made it literally unusable in the worst way. It will let you do everything normally until you save a file, at which point it won't save properly, and you'll lose your entire project. It seems to be writing on open, too, so any old projects that worked before are also being overwritten.

Despite a few odd quirks (e.g. slightly weird brush size changing mechanism), this app would be near perfect. If it were not for one issue: I cannot either share or export my work. It happens on some phones and it's an issue known for over a year. Still not fixed. This way the only way to share what I create is taking screenshot and sharing that, which produces artifacts. Same with animations - I have to record screen and then edit it. This way sharing is more complicated than creating.

Really good for animation. With loads of options for import and export and managing layers and timelines But despite some amazing drawing tools, it's let down by too many menu layers for things as simple as changing brish size, cut/paste and picking colours. I'll definitely use it for making sure the animation looks good, but for fine drawing detail, other packages make for faster workflow.

Great app! Thanks for thr update! I do wish the preferences tab was at the end of the UI though. Its very long and anniying to acroll past to get to my cut, copy, and pasting options. There are also still bugs, like with copying and pasting, for example. Sometimes I'll try paste something and it'll brighten the stuff around it for now reason.

Very powerful app with a dedicated dev. However it has been for longest time suffered from very clunky UX. Some examples: 1. Selected brush is not reflected in the tool bar (Bug?), 2. Redundancy, when selecting tool with sub-menu e.g. brush shows the brush icon 3 times, in main toolbar, then two times in submenu toolbar, without arrow pointing to other selected tools. 3. Wasted space in menus, the options are in list not using screen space and headers are a huge row. 4. Confusing navigation.

I can't believe how functional and feature-rich this is. I've been using Autodesk Animator to make pixel art on my PC since the early nineties, and this feels alot like that. The interface is fun too, lending to the overall retro feel of the app. I don't know why people spend so much time and effort making amazing stuff like this and then make it completely free, but I'm incredibly grateful. As near as I can tell, this is completely free and 100% functional. Amazing.

It's like having a mini Aseprite for your Android phone! The usual pixel apps here are usually very simple, that lacks the usual features you'd see in a pixel art program for your computer. But this app squeezes almost all of that content here, and I'm honestly impressed. I highly recommend this to advanced pixel artists who wants to draw on the go, but that doesn't mean beginners would have a hard time using this, since it's very user friendly!

I've been using this app for probably 4 years now and I've had no issues with it till recently. The app won't let me transfer the .amin files to gifs anymore nor let me scale the drawings to proper scale so it doesn't have low quality in the images. I love this app but I've had to look for a different application because of these problems. Please fix this bug so I can continue doing the animations I love to make on the app.

This app is absolutely amazing and has such great features, but im extremely disappointed in its save system, it ruined hours of my work, the save feature made all my colors turn black ruining all colored work, and on other files it just saved at random points, reversing hours of work and shading. Can someone please explain to me why the Save feature corrupts and completely ruins all my art? Seriously i spent hours coloring and shading perfectly just to open back up a completely black page.

I've never been moved to review an app before but this is such a well built app that I feel like I need to help in anyway I can (unfortunately I am broke, but maybe when I am better at coding I can lend a hand). The features are very powerful and intuitive. Using the ellipse tool for example works by pulling a circle to desired major diameter, then setting the minor diameter and the angle. Simple but elegant. I can't wait to dive deeper into this!!!!!!!

I write chiptunes and use this to make all the images for my songs, it is absolutely perfect for that, super easy to use. only thing id like to see is more options for sprites: moveable sprite tiles where you can more easily page through the images to vary an animation, and ability to load multiple sprite sheets into a single project. If not, ability to select or deselect all layers would be a big help, as all 40 layers were selected in my last when id make a new timeline when all i needed was 3

its great! it's easy to use. the ai looks amazing!!! it looks like aseprite too. im using this as an alternative for aseprite since i dont have my laptop today. the tools, and everything, it's perfect. u should add round gradients too, btw. anyway,,, im concerned that the photo, when finished drawing, is not 'high-quality'? it's blurry. and idk how to fix this.

From what I can tell all the features are useful and exactly as I wanted it, but there's one big problem for me as I find it difficult to read the pixelated font. There appears to be no accesabilaty settings anywhere either. Until this gets fixed it's a 2 star from me

This has to be one of the greatest pixel art editor ever! You can personalize your experience by changing the background color! There's so much settings and tools to look at! With this app, the sky's the limit when it comes to making pixel art! No tutorial but once you know how to used it, it's super easy! I love this app!

Really good. Just enough features to make it easy for me to draft pixel art on my commute. A few navigation/tool selection issues, but overall an intuitive UI that doesn't feel bogged down by the fact it's on a mobile phone. Props to Gustavo for making this great tool.

Pretty useless: UI elements get cut off and you have to rotate the device in order to see them, but rotation isn't enabled be default, so you have to remember to change that before you can use it, but that still won't fix the UI elements that just overlap each other and block the one underneath; immersive mode is pretty useless, too, since there's a lot of times you want to press the back button, you have to fling in from the edge, so remember to turn that off before you start.

Easily the best mobile pixel art editor. Other pixel art app developers take note: if your app can't do at least what this does, don't bother: editable/importable pallets, mini view, grids, symmetry... I'd ask for layers, frames, and palette remapping, but then it'd be Aseprite and I'd want to buy it.
