This emulator is shockingly good on battery, and I believe it's the only free one that doesn't have ads. There's fast forward and slo-mo, customizable gamepad, all of the basic things you'd want. There are a lot more options in the paid version but if you just want a good basic emulator to play games this is the best free one available
Great app. However, having a bug issue with the screen in landscape aspect. The screen is stretched to fit my entire phone screen regardless of how I've set it up in 'edit layout'. Might be a compatibility issue with the new Android software. Still works as expected in portrait mode. Update: development team got back to me immediately with an answer. Turns out a long press on the screen cycles through the screen modes. Very impressed!
While the emulator is good and working flawlessly, there's one seemingly minor but absolutely critical flaw. Move. the. menu. button. It's the most basic of basic things, people usually have their controls as close to the edge of the screen as possible, why the hell are the buttons there on the BOTTOM. I haven't found a way to move them (menu and sound buttons) so if it's paywalled that's an easy uninstall
Update: I thought "General" was the heading, since it's the same as the menu option. Would appreciate it if they were different. But yes redownloaded and switch back to 🍕. Looking forward to trying the rest of the features. Thanks! Old review:"WHY is vibration on button press hardcoded into this thing? At least option to disable it"
Surprisingly a really good emulator. Does what I need it to do, currently playing FF6 with it and it really is good on battery unlike other apps. The screen does get a bit wonky sometimes by accidentally double clicking and zooming in, but once I figured that out I was golden. For a free emulator with no ads? This is definitely the one.
Thus far the best emulator I've tried. Only partially through one game, but no ads, smooth gameplay, and sufficient features (multiple saves, cheats, simple slow/fast mode), particularly for a free app. If this continues to go well I may get the premium version simply because of how impressed I am.
Absolutely love it, even the basic version has everything u need, best of all , no ads. What else could I ask for. Pls keep it like this, i know it's hard on the developers but hu ever made the choice to not put ads is just briliant, being able to play legend of Zelda n not having to watch ad every 5 min is exactly what I want, hence 5 star.
Can't get the game to load. Just gives me an empty white screen with a search icon, even though I have a working file ready to go. Same with the premium version. I used to use this app a lot. Not a fan of the new "load" format to be honest.
Does what it says and does it well. Makes a very reasonable cutoff between free features like adjustable UI and playspeed and paid features like saving different settings for each game. Would recommend!
Using this app while waiting for my portable emulator. It's the best free emulator you can get that plays GBA games. No ads, nice button placements + loving the slow/speed up buttons on screen.
great little emulator. If I were trying to think of ways to improve it, I might say something like build Chromecast into it (but you can do that for the whole phone anyway). Another idea maybe to make a cross platform way to sync the emulator and saved games.
Extremely decent emultaion, with all the basic features that your require to play still active. Considering its free, its amazing and just what I was looking for. Thank you very much for developing this. 😃😃😃
Imo the free version of this app is quite generous to be able to let you have multiple save states while also being able to keep the actual saved game kept inside of the rom as well. I've had a lot of difficulties prior with other emulators keeping up to that. But why shouldn't i buy the premium for the $5 when it's totally worth it. It's so simple when it can read zips as well being able to take less than a minute to get the game going.
Pretty good emulator overall. Loads the ROMs and runs them well, along with cheat codes that I find online. I like the speed change function as well as having different control placement for the vertical and horizontal rotations. One issue I've noticed is that the "Remove Cheat" button doesn't seem to work for me, at least not that I've been able to figure out, so I had to reinstall the app to put in new cheats. Other than that, great emulator; would definitely recommend! 👍
Works great, quality user interface, lots and lots of features packed in it. NO ads, it's an amazing emulator and I highly reccomend it. The folks that made this deserve an award!
Fantastic emulator, does exactly what it needs to and hasn't crashed yet. Lacks a few fancy features on free version, but that's expected.
Great GBA rom emulator. For a free version, it already has the essentials. The only issue I encounter was with the external controller support. I'm using a generic OEM MOGA. Mapping the buttons was hard as it tries to assign everything randomly. Tried using a different emulator but they don't have the same problem. Overall, a fine emulator but if you need the other functions like save states, I thinks it worth to buy the pro version. I just hope the gamepad support will be fixed in the future.
Runs smoothly, easy to use and isn't too much for my phone to handle. Although an option to mute the sound of the buttons being hit would be nice.
Excellent free emulator with no ads. I was shocked, both with the quality and the stability. Could not recommend more!
The D pad can be a little wonky and move in the wrong direction, but otherwise this is fantastic. I especially love the fast forward function since the walking in Pokemon games is SO slow. Highly recommend!
Best emulator out there with no ads at all!! Easy to use and both the op buttons and control stick work nicely as well.
It works great and is easy to use and I have had no real issues with it as all games run smoothly and no issues losing progress.
A free app with multiple save state capability. If you want to be able to rewind, you can pay the very modest $5. Cheers to the creator.
Normal GBA emulator that alloes y to play and use as it is intended on pc. No post exploitation ads and links enforced y to pay if y already put the time in it as other greedy providers do sharing simple platform. Great app and thanks to the boyz put the time to share it with us. Donate if y have the abilities as show the gratitude of thair efforts. Thanks
I use the free version. Does everything I need from an emulator. The paid version has some interesting features. (I haven't used them myself, but they seem useful.) I prefer using a pc instead of a phone for emulators. For those times when you can't though, this is a solid setup.
First session ran fine, but the second session the screen was off-center and cut off. Tried messing with the orientation settings but that only changed which part of the screen got cut off. No amount of messing with settings fixed the issue, so unfortunately that makes it litterally unplayable.
Works flawlessly, and being able to be some slower parts at rabbit speed makes it a lot easier to stay in a game for me.
Can't use my main download folder. It says to protect my privacy select another folder. Why if I authorize it? And it won't start the app without auto-loading metroid zero mission even if I force close it. Please help.
Works great! love the customization and runs beautifully. ROMS are easy to find and can work through Google drive.
This is an amazing GBA emulator and it's probably the best one I've tried on android. The UI is simple to understand, yet it has some really nice features built in. However, this doesn't get a full star review from me. The button to open the menu with all the options, open rom, settings etc doesn't have a label. I am blind and I use a screen reader known as Talkback. A screen reader reads out the screen to you so that you can know what you are doing, now this doesn't work in games off course, but it works fine in the app, well, the menu button just says "unlabeled button" Would it be possible to change this? Second thing here is more of a feature request. Some GBA PC emulators have the option of changing the audio sampling rate. Mainly to set it to 48KHZ. This makes for a much cleaner and in my opinion better sound. Would it be possible to ad this feature? I don't know what sampling rate it uses now, but to me it doesn't sound like 48KHZ. So yeah, this emulator is really great. It runs all the games I throw at it perfectly with no performance drops. I would deffenetly recommend this to anyone who wants to play their clasic GBA games on a modern device.
