Description makes the app sound useful and full of promise. BUT. The first thing I wanted to do is mark a few airports. Nope - that requires an extra-cost add-on. So I clicked to upgrade to Pro, restarted and tried again. NOPE - it STILL requires the extra-cost add-on. Looking at the add-on list, the ones I would want would cost about $10.00 over & above the Pro fee. NO WAY. Deleting the app & requesting a refund immediately. NOT RECCOMENDED.
This app is great really, used to have another travel app but switched to this since I prefer the UI. The ads are not that annoying, plus you can skip them after a few seconds. Apart from countries and cities, you can mark Unesco landmarks for free then you can purchase extra additions, which are not that expensive. I love the airports addition.
This app is the most user friendly app I have ever used. My wife and I love to travel. When I began using this app, I just couldn't stop! It is so easy to scroll anywhere on the world map and zoom in to see a list of cities. If your city is on the list, you can select three options: visited, want to visit, and favorite. It provided us both with several awesome hours of going through memories of all the places we have been! I recommend this app to everyone of all ages!
I love having a map of everywhere I've been or want to go at my fingertips. I don't often pay for add-ons or upgrades, but I did purchase the PRO version of the app to unlock statistics as well as buy the USA national parks/monuments feature. It's like an extra incentive to check those places off of my bucket list.
Great app! I think I was looking for this kinda app for long time! I would appreciate if there is a feature where you can compare with your wife/friend a map, and where you can compare each fav, been, want - and to make next destination easy to choose! If both have "want", it should be like "let's explore together"; if one has fav/been and other has "want", should be "Take me there", something like this
I have had this app for a very long time and even purchase some extras on it. Since I got my new phone, it doesn't want to upload any of my places.
I absolutely love how intuitive the app is, I bought the Pro version to get rid of the advertisements, and now I'm very happy. One note, however, I couldn't find a report function. Barrow, Alaska changed its name back to Utqiagvik, and I think it's troubling that there is no functionality to report this to the app developers. Please add this function to future updates, thank you.
Unusable. It only allows you to mark places visited if they are visible on the current map selected, and even then it'll only list 25 places from within the visible map portion. Can't see a long list of places to select from
I spent the better part of the evening feeling cool by checking off all the places I've been to. Obviously not all are available. Fair enough, I understand you can upgrade to get more features. But what drive me nuts are the obnoxious ads. We're not talking about a banner but a full screen ad. There's a timer to let you know when there are due, roughly every 5 minutes. So maybe if you don't stay long enough having fun like me, you might not be as annoyed. Not for me : deal breaker, unistalling.
It was okay until the full page ads kept popping up every 30 seconds. Because of this, the app is unusable and I will be uninstalling. To the dev: If you think I'm going to pay to get rid of your obnoxious ads JUST to use your app, you're mistaken and I've gone on convince other users to uninstall or not use your app. Hopefully it'll be removed from the app store soon.
Generally good (so much I paid for the pro membership) , lacking some desirable functionality: - latitude/longitude for places visited furthest N/S/E/W; - when I'm tagging cities and go to UNESCO sites the zoom resets, very annoying to go back and forth: - lacking "I'm here now" button to find me in the world map (EDIT: thanks to the answer to my comment I found this feature, I confirm it is present)
Very handy and useful app! Easy to use, friendly interface with a great overview where you've been! I've had 2 different apps before this one and so far this is the best! Works perfectly on Samsung S8 plus! Keep up the great work!
This exceeded my expectations; it's easy to use and navigate. I like that I can easily find and add both cities and UNESCO sites, and filter them by been/want/favorite. Useful and fun! I find myself checking the app to see if there are UNESCO sites nearby somewhere I'm visiting to see if I should add somewhere to my itinerary.
The map is user friendly, and visually pleasant. However, the PRO version is very limited on options and maps available. They should expand this, and not require payment for every add-on.
Have just started day ago on the last day of 2019. Glad to have successfully recorded my travel throughout the globe to 101 cities in 35 countries in 5 continents since 2007 without much obstacles. Perhaps the app could further improve it friendliness to tag more places in Asia, China and Inner Mongolia. I've been to the National Park of Yading Sichuan China and visited cities in Inner Mongolia but the name is not listed in this app.
Great app! A very convenient visual tool to know where you've been. The only thing though is that some interesting features require you to purchase. The developers should do well to make some features free.
After trying many apps to see the map with places that i visited, i finally found the best one. Thanks. To improve: it should to be possible to expand the map to full screen. And to change the icons to points or pins instead flags only.
I'm having a lot of fun with this app! A feature request: let us filter the Been/Want/Fav columns out of our maps. For example: I want to be able to look at and share my Cities map without the Want cities in there. Thanks!
Overall very good app. I like the flag map feature a lot. Sometimes my phone lags a little when searching, so you have to be careful not to go too fast. Otherwise everything works great.
I would love to add my favourite pictures to all the places I have been, so I can just click on a visited place and browse my favourite shots. If you could add this feature, I would be really happy. All in all, cool app!
I found a perfect pair tonight: Places Been + Travelness. Whereas Travelness is a deeply invested travel gallery, I'll be using Places Been to keep measurable data of my travels. A few nitpicks though: The flag map could use a makeover. The home screen should be customizable (think draggable boxes). And add-ons are pretty expensive. To mark airports alone was like 3 or 4 bucks. Still, I love the breakdown on the home page and the incredible attention to detail in the Pro statistics. Keep it up!
