Extremely easy! Just launch the application to obtain an instant overview of the planets surrounding you. You're in the middle of the screen, on Earth, and the planets are being displayed around you. If a planet is above the Compass Ring and is highlighted, it's visible. If the planet is below the Compass Ring, towards the center of the Earth, it is shadowed and below your horizon. Navigate to the stars just be touching the spaceship.
With a simple screen touch you switch to a text view listing all planetary positions. (Direction, altitude and the phase of the inner Terrestrial planets and the Moon)
Hit the 3D Planet icon for a detailed 3D view of planet/moon texture.
(The paid version, Planet Finder +, comes with an advanced Augmented Reality Camera: Just point your phone to the sky and Planet Finder + will instantly switch to Augmented Reality Mode. Spot planets and stars through your mobile camera, take a snapshot and share via facebook, email, twitter or MMS!Interact with the Augmented Reality View by activating its Player. Play, pause, rewind and fast forward the Solar System. This will render the trajectories of the planets and the moons of Jupiter and Saturn.)
If you have a new smart phone, it most likely has a Gyroscope Sensor. Planet Finder uses this sensor in combination with your accelerometer and magnetometer. This means that Planet Finder quickly responds to your movements providing a stable image and accurate readings.
The application can be installed on your phone SD card in order to save phone storage.(open settings -> programs -> manage programs -> PlanetFinder+ -> move to sd)

A simple and excellent app for amateur Astronomers who are Astrophiles. It gives accurate data of planetary positions in Cosmos and helps in observation of planetary positions in space, it is a must have app for every amateur Astronomers.

Easy to use and understand the positions of the planets in space provided you know the coordinates of the compass very well.
This app looks like for 3 years old children I looked at similar one's and this one looks like cheap design but I might be wrong Everyone has different taste someone else might like it
I don't get it. It literally is just really bad and I can't. Even explore the solar system. I don't know what to do and I recommend not downloading it and to wast your time. Not to sound like a Karen or anything but I dont get it
Sucked. It was like a glorified compass and not easy to find the planets.
I think it really it really clever how you get to do all this on a phone it's out of this world how things are made the intelligent they put in to do all this It's Very Good

Terrible game it just shows a picture of where everything is right now and you could just chose a planet and its telescope and try to see it

Init as good as it use to be. One on compass mode cannot change to 3d

I download this app and I checked the earth for moon and I see indo and that's my house!!!!!!! I promise I don't download this app again😭😭😨😨 and I really scared and that's my family!!😨😨 And this all is same furniture in my HOUSE!!!!

If it's giving data is correct, it is the best app ever.
I love this app. Although it doesnt have the fancy 3D UI like most app, but it functions very well. The compass is very accurate and the planet positions are precise. Marvelous
