Great app! For others who have asked the question, it works perfectly in the Southern Hemesphere too. Lets you creatively think about where you'd like the sun, moon, milky way, comets etc in an image and then find out the dates/times they will line up with the landscape features or buildings you want, and where to shoot from to get them there. The virtual reality option is so useful in planning and visualising the results.
I am updating my previous review of 3 stars. Gave the app 3 stars for something that was really a Play Store issue. I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars and I tell you why. I got a new phone but all of my plans and markers would not transfer over. The developer worked with me to figure out the issue over the last 2 days and was able to successfully resolve the issue. His quick responses to my emails and his responsiveness to the issue was exceptional.
In response to the reply to my original post. I can't get out of the map window. It does not allow me to do anything at all. It shouldn't be this difficult just to get a feel of the app. Have watched a number of videos and can't even get to the page that they start from . Something seriously wrong here. How the Hell do you get started? Dreadful assumes your an expert from the beginning. Nothing intuitive.
Great application and great and prompt support. It takes some time to get to know it and it is not easy to use, especially on a phone screen. I have tried the suggested remote screen application, but the free version is too bleary, so I opted for scrscp and now I have PlaniIt accessible from my laptop.
great app, terrible customer service. recent update removed all the previously paid for Pro functionality, requiring customer to go through a fault-ridden, clunky process to get it back. email queries were dealt with quickly enough but I was constantly being told I must have done something wrong even when I identified the in-app problems with the process and the errors in their instructions. 5 stars for the app itself, 2 stars for the rude attitude and the 2 days it took to get it working again
Probably the most complete Photography Tool you'll ever need to get your Job planned, and successfully carried out. However, and I'm mainly challenging the Developer here to get an answer for what must be a bug in the latest Update, the 3D Ground-contour View in the Viewfinder is NOT presenting properly what it should, either On-line,or even Off-line with the aid of .hgt Files - which is sth that was NOT an issue in previous versions of this excellent App-and,I can assure you that is quite annoying!
really bad interface for pixel 2. the app does not show the bottom part of the screen where all the controls are. its only made for bigger screens.
I wish you would give a trial of paid version. May be a preview for one week with date restricted to a date in the past. I bought it and I see the value, but it will help both you and your customers if you can provide someway for the free users to preview the paid features (with some restrictions of course, to ensure ppl don't exploit the preview option).
Downloaded hoping to evaluate this app before paying for the full pro version. However I find it difficult to make positive evaluation as it appears to be very restricted and limited in respect to the functions available on the full pro version. This leaves me wondering do I want to pay for it only to find out it is not what I expected ? Also would like to know, but couldn't find info on, does the app require data connection when used out in the field or is able to us offline maps etc. For me I would prefer complete offline usability when away from home or wifi network - I do not use phone data as only on pre-paid PAYG tarrif
Definitely worth upgrading to the paid version. Viewfinder modes are awesome for planning. Takes some getting used to but very useful once you master it.
The Planit Photo Planner is a very good app for use in photo planning, and it's free. For a great app purchase Planit Pro, it does everything a photographer would want for planning a photo shoot of landscapes, seascapes or nightscapes. Well worth the inexpensive price
Pretty disappointed, wanted to find out if the sun and moon function worked in the southern hemisphere. Most don't. Well the free version won't let me. This is why I don't buy apps. Most don't work the way they are advertised
Very handy app for helping to plan and visualize compositions. Keeps getting better.
I updated my planit pro few days ago and it down graded all my pro features. Can you help me to recover it. Emailed planit .Bo answer. Thx! Quick response from planit. Problem solved.
Incredibly versatile. Not the easiest to use, but the youtube documentation videos really help.
Very nice tool. Question for customer service. I had pro on my Samsung phone, but I was asked to pay when I switch to Huawei phone. Any solution except to pay again? Thanks
Useless for this free app. Maybe pro version is good, but I have no method to try pro version feature via free App.
I only give 9 stars (yes, nine) because is only 110% perfect. I'll give 10 stars when add gopro settings.
Very nice I love it if you open the applications so you can see that by useful this app and and also I say when I am studying in my home I see this so useful life I will know what I say no words please download please download this is very useful
Too hard to use to find simple things
Difficult to use
Very accurate and easy to use.
Love this app for landscape photography
New to this very good so far
Love this App!!!
Should put Lite in the title
Really helps plan a shoot well - I upgraded to the full version after seeing how useful this app is. It would also be useful to be able to set the declination and azimuth angles for the Milky Way.
No indication as to pricing ... ANYWHERE! Website in Chinese with no alternative language options. I'm not going to spend time trying an app that will probably need to be upgraded and 3D options added when i don't know the cost at the outset.
