Plant Nanny - Water Reminder

It's a cute, really useful app, but when the adverts pop up at the bottom, it covers the amount of water that your glasses represent! So, you have to remember or guess how much water you're saying you've drunk, which is even more annoying as there is no way to remove a drink amount, making the mess-ups nearly impossible to solve. If it wasnt for the ads, I would give this 5 stars. This app only manages 2 stars because it's a lovely idea and much more rewarding than regular water trackers.

The app is very helpful and a fun way to drink more water! I would rate 5 stars if not for one very frustrating thing that has been happening more and more - ads will appear (which doesn't bother me for a free app), but they are right over the menu to drink water, which renders the app entirely unusable unless I completely close the app, reopen it, and hope to not have an ad show up long enough to make a selection.

Just got a new phone and now the app only shows the start up screen. when I press "start watering" it crashes. I had to clear out the storage and cache to get it working again. It's working again and I'm quite happy. There are ads that are a bar at the bottom of the screen. really irritating when trying to choose a different sized glass and I can't see the measurements. Maybe putting the measurements on top of the glasses rather than the bottom might help

I really love the overall design of this app and the concept. I wanted to collect lots of plants and that was great motivation. However, some days I'm busy or I forget to log and that's where it falls short. You have no grace period. The plant begins to die right off the bat and that kind of kills my motivation. I'd love it if the plants maybe had different difficulty levels so you can adjust. IE, cactus needs less water so it dies slower. Or at least let me backlog.

Helpful, but definitely has some let downs. I dont like losing my previous plants when switching phones, but the biggest problem is the day cycle. It is supposed to start every day at midnight with a fresh total to reach. It doesn't, and it is quick to say over watering when it is counting cups from the day before. All in all its a good app, and very cute. I just wish they'd let you hit a new day button or something when you are finished with the day.

Makes me want to drink! The brilliance of this app is that it doesnt force you too much. It doesnt interfere with life and it gives you more than one chance. Very often I've missed a glass of water, but I can come back later, see my plant looking sad (they animate the plants quite well), and instantly want to drink water. And that usually restores it's happiness, which makes drinking water all the more rewarding. It also gives you options of winning rewards by watching ads (no ads otherwise)

Great concept, poor execution. There is nowhere to edit your water intake from the previous day, so if you don't remember to input your info into the app, tough luck! Doesn't make for a very encouraging experience. Also I'm unsure if the app displays the amount of mls I've entered underneath the cup/bottle icon at the bottom as there's an ad that may be covering it. Would be nice to have a reminder as sometimes I forget what I entered and have to reset it.

Great function, cute look, easy-to-use interface. The only feature I miss is the ability to set custom times for when the day starts and ends, since I have an irregular schedule. That's why I took a star off. Options for tea and juice would be nice but aren't a must to me. Overall I love it. It helps me stay hydrated and looks beautiful while doing it. I've had this on three phones now and still use it almost every day.

Very handy & cute app. Only the ads cover the bottom, which can be a bit in the way, and the "new stuff" number stays at the store, even when I already checked it. Also, it would be awesome if there was the option to connect with friends! :D Apart from that it's great. Getting reminders to drink is very useful and having cute plants to grow while drinking is very motivating. :)

UPDATE (Jan 23, 2018): Don't think the app was updated, but the issue seems to have stopped, so revising rating to 4. Definitely helps motivate me, but would love the ability to correct the data manually when I midcslculate or forget to log something on a previous day. Love the app, but it recently started having an issue where the ads covered the bottom of the UI and made it difficult or impossible to use in. Please fix, and happy to revise the rating. 🙂

This app really does help me remember to drink water (I get migraines if I don't drink a ton!). The only issue is that it isn't sending me notifications unless I open the app (and by then of course they're unnecessary). I do have it set to remind me every 2 hours, and I've changed my settings to allow notifications from the app! If that could be fixed, this app would get 5 stars for its creativity, large amount of plants/pots/backgrounds, and general amazing design.

I could love this app if there was an option to disable banner ads at the bottom of the screen. The ads cover the ounces/milliliters you're inputting so you cannot use it properly. The iPhone app allows you to purchase ad removal, but not on android. It's very frustrating. If there was purchasable ad removal and more customization options... 5 stars.

This is great app, but I had to change my review because as of recently there is now an ad banner on the bottom of the screen which covers what the volumes are for saved glasses. It's very frustrating to me because I can't remember what the volume amounts are on some and the ad is not able to be removed either. I hope this issue gets resolved soon.

The advertisements are atrocious. There are so many -e.g. on the main page where you water the plant, which prevents you from being able to access other bottles of water as you can't see past the ad and in the background of the settings page. This app hasn't updated at all in the past years or so I've used it for on a different phone, which is quite a shame considering its cute, yet limited variety of plants, pots and landscapes offered within the game.

Great way to motivate people to drink water. There are some major design issues, though. Although we're told that we need to swipe up from an area close to the bottom of the phone, there is no arrow or bar that indicates where it is. If you ever put the app down for a while and forget that you need to slide it you have no way of knowing how. A simple indicator is not hard to implement. Ads also block this area, so you have no way to access the water bar sometimes, which is very frustrating.

A little confusing but I definitely drink more water! Also, as some one else mentioned there isn't a way to accurately calculate what I need to drink edited: fix the glitches please. the entire point of downloading it is to be reminded to drink and it'll go two or three days without reminding me at all. My daughter has had to uninstall it three times and lost all of her progress because of glitches

Great app and has really helped me stick to my resolution to drink more water. My only complaint and why I am not rating 5 stars is the ads. I would happily purchase this app to remove the ads but it seems on the Android version that's not possible. It looks like the Android version is not maintained as often as the Apple one, which is a shame.

Okay, honestly I want to love this app. It's got cute plants and reminders to drink water throughout the day by telling you your plant is thirsty. I'm frustrated by the ad set up on the bottom. It is constantly in the way of adding drinks, I can't see how many oz my drinks are, and it makes it incredibly difficult to get to the next page and add new drinks. Please, let the user move the ads or at least buy an ad-free version. Will re-review if updated. 6/19/19- Still no change to the ads.

It's great but with the ads at the bottom of the screen, I can't tell how many ml of water I'm pressing. I pretty much have to try and race the ads by repeatedly opening the app, swiping up to attempt to view the ml, then close the app and try again if I fail. Either remove the ads entirely or make an option where we can pay a one time fee of .99 so we don't have to deal with them.

Love the concept but like so many others I agree that the ads are badly placed. They are basically covering up an important aspect related to the usage of the app. And I don't mind that there are ads...but the placement directly interferes w the use of the app making it annoying almost to the point of quitting. If you could change the ad placement so it doesn't cover up things you need to click on, or at the very least give people the option to purchase the app w/o ads, then I'd give it 5 stars.

This app is super cute and has helped me drink more water. I love it. I only really have two problems with it. One, I'd like to manually enter a water goal. I put this app on my sister's phone and she has an health problems but the app either recommends too little water or too much and she cheats to keep her plant alive. Two, the ads on the bottom of the screen can block the water selection. It's usually fine, but I'd be willing to pay a few dollars to get rid of them.

I like this app. Overall it is good, but there are some small aspects that could be fixed. If you plant a new plant at the end of the day, it is thirsty the next day sometimes even if you drank enough water the day you planted it. I also have no idea why plants are given different difficulty levels. I have only grown ones that are one and two levels of difficulty, but as far as I can tell they require the same amount of water... And sometimes your water intake doesn't count toward leveling up your plant, like if you just drank enough water that it isn't thirsty anymore. Overall it is a good app with some minor bugs. The adds can be annoying, but it is free... So there's not much to expect differently there. I would definitely get this app if you have a hard time drinking enough water every day. It has definitely helped me inprove my water intake quite a bit.

a cute fun way to encourage me to drink more water. update: now that I've been using this for a little bit the ads are getting really annoying and I don't see a way of paying for the app to get them to go away. Also the constant add at the bottom of the main screen covers up a huge portion to where I can't get to something that was there (I think it was the size of my cup but it's been so long since I've seen what was down there I can't remember now) if it only popped up For a bit then went away

I used to really love this game, but I had to change phones. None of the data was transferable so had to restart. This was annoying, but not why I'm 2 starring. Since starting again on new phone I haven't been able to download anything. Backgrounds, plants etc it stays at 0% indefinitely. I've tried clearing the cache, and I've cleared the data (losing all progress again...) I've seen alot of other mentions about this, but no fix and no answer...

Great app but ads are pretty frustrating. It's easy to use and has a clean design, yet ugly banner and full screen ads ruin the experience and make it feel much less enjoyable to use. I wouldn't mind if there was a remove ads feature or a premium version, but no matter what you do, you'll be stuck with these eyesores.
