Plasma Sound HD
Beautiful music instrument inspired by the Theremin, Continuum, Keyboard and Sequencer. Touch the screen and a note is generated. It's X-Axis (left-to-right) is pitch, which is designated by note and octave markings. It's Y-Axis (up-and-down) is up to you to control! Plasma Sound is incredibly configurable. Pick the note range, the waveform, cutoff, delay, tremolo, vibrato and more! You can even select between continuous mode (theremin-like), quantize mode (keyboard-like), and a hybrid.
Plasma Sound applies the same principals to the Sequencer to give you even more music creation abilities! Select a note to activate it, and drag up and down to select it's Y-value, controlling the same thing that the Y-Axis controls in the Keyboard section. Immediately you get an incredibly dynamic and versatile sequencer.
On Android 3.0 tablets and up, a new beta feature has been added: The ability to create and play sequences using the front-facing camera. Select the "Motion" tab to try it out!

This app is known to have problems with older/lower end phones. The original Droid is known to work (just barely), but phones with lower specs will most likely run in to problems. Please don't leave a bad comment if your phone doesn't work; it's an intense app, intended for tablets (although an honest effort is put in to supporting older phones, I promise).
The beautiful visual based off of MSAFluid, and the sound is generated by libpd.

I'm really digging this app. It is one of only a hand full of apps that I will always install, or reinstall whenever I change device . Also the look, feel, and sound of it is superb on my tablet. If you can make this app "float" on screen (tablet) so it could more easily be used along with my DJ app, and drum kit , then this app will be as close to perfect as it could get. Kudos on making it free, and keep up the good work.
Fun to play with, but crashes on my Nexus 10 when "Motion" menu item is selected.
For no money at all this is great. I'm hardly musical so not using it properly but on my Nexus 7 now with Kit-Kat this is a lovely toy
Brilliant - excellent selection of variables and tools to creatively explore sound, more than should be expected for free.
What an amazing app! I should be doing a ton of other stuff but I can't stop playing with Plasma HD. Works flawlessly on my Sony Tablet S.
It can produce several unique sounds by default and has the abiliy to adjust parameters and save your own presets.
I am on the nexus7 . It works great. Fun and entertaining for the kids. Doesn`t works on Toshiba thrive

Very funny! I'm in history of electronic music and our final project is improvising something with a synthesizer and this was a great tool to use for that final project. The plasma colors are very pretty and soothing as well, and there's a simple interface so anyone can use it.

Boy, I was wrong. This is a fantastic noise app. Responsive, intuitive and highly tweakable. A standout in the weak Android market for music apps.
Crashes when I choose motion mode. Running it on Samsung S7 edge nougat.
After trying out other theramin or theramin-like apps, this one is absolutely the best! Alot of fun. Like the other users say, the keyboard feature is my most favorite!
I can't get the motion tab to work. I've been using this app live for quite a while... it's my favorite... front-facing camera support seems too good to be true... have made adjustments to sensitivity but still no luck. Perhaps an email to the devs will sort this out. Thanks for all your work on this app... <3
Just short of the real thing. Helps keep the kiddos entertained.
I love this app! It has also provided tons of amusement for my cat. He has the best time with the colors and sounds.

Excellent and free.. Keyboard is great, hope to see it continue to be improved and polished. I would like to be able to limit notes by key, as it can be hard to get the right notes when you have more than a few octaves on the board and ends up sounding quite horrid then.
