Cool interface, simple to use. It's not very useful unless you're actually at the star wars theme park. There's very little use with this until you're actually there. I just have it downloaded and ready to go for when I do arrive at Disney World. It doesn't allow you to reserve Star Wars Star Cruiser events like lightsaber training through the app. It doesn't have a lot of details about the itinerary of the experience yet either. But the design of the app does give you a Datapad feel. It's cool.
I'm signed in, but none of the apps work on my Samsung Galaxy...opens like it is working but then goes back to start screen. Disappointing!
Half-finished app. Doesn't remember achievements earned on maps. Doesn't award automatic achievements sometimes. Disney doesn't have a single piece of tech that isn't a piece of ....!
Love this app! But keeps losing my reservation link and have to uninstall and reinstall the app. Since going on the halcyon on May 31st just concerned will not work for the missions
A little glitches at times, but overall pretty easy to use and doesn't kill your battery life.
Fun app, very hard to get up and running. Will not run at all when you are away from the park. Too bad the app will not work when you are away.
Some of the games are fun, some are not well thought out. The data pad for Black Spire Outpost is not stable.
Its very immersive when you are in the park. For example, when I was in starwars land, there were a ton of activities that suddenly became available and they were thoroughly explained by the datapad tutorial.
It's fun to play when it works. Keeps crashing and losing my connection. Needs to be restarted way too often.
It's great fun when it works. I can play it just fine if I don't sign in. Otherwise it freezes and crashes.
Nice app. Waiting for our big trip to WDW and thos just adds to the excitement! Looking forward to seeing it come to life with all of the features! Thanks Disney °o°
Super fun way to spend time in lines waiting for rides & keeps you in the Disney magic mood! Best idea ever!
Trying access the Star Was Datapad while in Galaxies Edge I get an error that I have the wrong device and need to use the one given at Galactic Starcruiser. Don't understand why I get this in Disneyland. I have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling to clear this error.
Takes up too much storage space. Many achievements and activities are broken.
Like most of Disney's apps, unfortunately, this one looks like it was designed by Playskool and not by Walt Disney Imagineering. The app has no real integration with the Disneyland experience. In fact, the app detracts from The Magic Kingdom and feels entirely like contemporary reality. Frankly, Disney should be embarrassed by the utter lack of showmanship, imagination, and storytelling expertise in the design. Additionally, the lack of support for Spotify is a major turn-off.
Slow and hard to navigate. It is also very difficult to make hotel reservations and it doesnt personalize your experience.
The app does everything it says that it does, and it works well. However, I found it to be a distraction from my overall Disney parks experience. It seems to be best suited for those guests who visit the park often and have time to be leisurely, especially in the Star Wars themed area. If you are only there for a day or two, you want to be experience something other that your phone. The music and trivia can be good for traveling. The rest of the apps features are best left for locals
No Visual Input Translation Option available in Galaxy's Edge on my devices. No other issues with other features. Otherwise the App works and uses up battery power as others have mentioned. Unclear about how and why to use credits. Rather than emailing for help, it would be nice to have a posted fix for this issue. Have tried on 2 devices. Also the questions about the falcon are really long and don't match the movement of the line. Would be nice to have an escape after each question.
Downloaded for the Galaxy's Edge Datapad feature. Worked for about 4 hours until the "Map" would only show a black screen, no matter how long I allowed it to load. Tried restarting app, but apparently the geniuses at Disney decided that closing the app would loose ALL of your progress. Completely pointless, you would have to start vompletely over each time you visit and utterly disappointing.
Overall great app, love all the games and it really helps the time go by when standing in a long queue at Disney World. I have an issue with the Star Wars Datapad, though. I can do everything except scan or use visual input on translate. I could do each of these once, but after that it stopped working. I contacted a cast member at Disney World, and we tried to get it to work for a while, but we couldn't. I will give 5 stars when this works. I have high expectations!! 🙂
Lots of fun; enjoy playing anytime that I'm waiting around. I definitely want more.
App doesn't even work. You have to reinstall it every time you go in because it says you need a data pad from a transport. It's so stupid.
Program won't start the game. Being in Disneyland, I tried playing the various games I click on the game and it pops up a star wars screen like it is loading and then brings me back to the previous screen. I tried it on a iPhone and it works. So I missed out on the fun waiting perks of the Rise of the Resistance. Very disappointing. I am running a Samsung Fold 3 for the developers info.
