Simple to use and light. Good but could be great. Really unintuitive menus. Have to scroll a lot and a lot of unnecessary tapping to go from one display to another. No reason for it to jump from played eposide to Playlist instead of directly to "downloads" really annoying that if you're listening to an old episode, the feed can't quickly jump to the latest chronological episode. It's good but needs some polishing to be great. Looking forward to this app in its full potential.

Good app but could be great. It has unintuitive menus. Makes no sense to have to scroll all the way back up to the most recent Episode instead of having a button to do so, nor that from a screen with the currently played episode goes back to the "Playlist" screen and only after that again to the "podcast" one. NOR that the "new" episodes start with the most recently played one, since that can be an episode from years ago. All these little things make it frustrating to have to deal with.

The Best of the Best Yes, you’ve probably never heard of this player, and it may not be the biggest in the market, but after testing around 20 podcast players, this was the only one which met all my selection criteria - and the criteria aren’t that stringent! Requirements: 1. Works on both iOS and Android. Nice podcast app with easy search features. Graphics and functions are well done. My big issue is when you sort the downloaded episodes it doesn't play them in the order you want??? Then it'll play an episode that I deleted by streaming it? When you delete an episode out should be marked listened and be removed immediately. Also if select auto delete after listening it says it will delete the file but never does. Sorting and deleting need to be tweeked

Again I absolutely love this app - PLUS it is great to find a developer that takes notice here. I reported a problem yesterday, and today an update has been released that fixed the problem. There are many podcast players out there, but of the ones I have tried, this is easily the best. It makes it so easy to select, download and play podcasts with so many user options. Thank you

Convenient and free but slow as all get out. It takes FOREVER to download items. And they fail 50% of the time. I think they problem is that they don't have a download queue that makes the items wait until the first one in the queue is done downloading, so instead, if you want to download 5 items then they all download simultaneously, so 5 hours later you have 5 half episodes and then suddenly you have 5 failed downloads. It would work so much better with a queue. Plus, no streaming option???

I have been very happy with Playapod for a long time, but it drives me crazy that you haven't added manual sort to the "new" or "downloads" playlists, it bums me out to have to have to take my phone out after every podcast, to hear the one I want next. I wouldn't think that would be a stretch to add, you think? I will keep checking for updates.

Used to be my go to podcast app but off late keep running into a lot of issues. 1. sync between devicesi broken (episodes listened to show up as unlistened/new on other device) 2. duplicate episodes, one after the other. got tired of marking them as listened on EACH device. 3. per previous interaction, sent emails and device logs but nada.. no response.

I'm a pod cast fanatic. I've tried many. But playapod is hands down the best. Very pleased with it and love how seemless it is to use. From the widget for fast access to where you picked up last, to the signature scrole bar to back up, fast-forward with ease and also see what you have listened to. I'm so happy about this app having no adds, it's free of charge, but would pay for it. If your are looking for the best podcast experience, this is the one, trust me I tried them all.

I can't remember why I started using this app except that I couldn' use my preferred app on iphone. Swithching back to android and able to use my preferred app again, I am supremely annoyed that opml files exported from this app won't load. Not just one other app, I tried importing the file created by this app and it failed on all of them. Checking the app website, I see they misspelled "announcement" which indicates more typos on the code. Overall I really don't have any positive things to say.

Heard about this app in the Triangulation podcast and it blew me away. It was exactly what I needed. The fact that you can see which parts of a podcast you missed is great. I had a bit of a cringe when I first opened it but 5 min later it all made sense. Great job!

I wonder why you guys ain't that popular? This is hands down the best free podcast client I've ever used, period. It does everything right. All you guys need to do is add the feature wherein the app remembers the sort order (ascending or descending) for each podcast subscription and then you guys will rule the roost.

You know when you've tried several apps and you randomly come across an app that literally does everything you need? This is that app. Batch download, yep. Order your playlists, yep. Just everything I wanted in a podcast app is here and it's free. Best app I've used so I've stopped looking.

I trust the owner with my data. It offers features other podcast apps don't, like seeing where you left off last time you listened to an episode you didn't finish. Easy to use!

Reloading the current channel podcasts available downloads without backing all the way out and then reloading then refreshing their content would be real nice! Also would be nice to have a play and pause button in the notification bar.

The best podcast player out there by a long mile, and it's free! It has all the features of other podcast players, but done in a pleasing and convenient way. Plus its icon is cute :-) What's not to like?

Completely froze my note 3 while playing. Had to remove the battery, thankfully you can do that on a note 3. Real bummer. I've loved this app for a year. I'm not sure what can replace it.

Sync doesn't work on the status of episodes (played or new). Only bookmarks are synced. So useless. Otherwise fine app, but without working sync - deleted. Podcast Republic has all the funcionality and working.

Very good, I have been using this platform for the past three years. I appreciate how it works across my Android devices synchronizing my favourites. I only wish there was a Windows version of the same app.

So far, so good (& by that I mean 3 years by now). No fuss, straightforward, simple way of getting what I need to distract me from all the other talking heads trying to take away my concentration.

Excellent podcast player, very sticky, keeps playing even when not open. I just wish it would go to the latest podcast when there is a new one when playing older shows.

Easy and intuitive to use. I've tried many podcast apps, and this is the best IMO. No ads even on free version!
