Amazing sound quality and functionality of DSP. This is my must-have app when listening to music on headphones when I travel. That being said -- the UI is rather terrible and is what's preventing me from giving 5 stars to an otherwise excellent app. It manages to break pretty much every standard of Android usability. For starters, it basically prompts you to build the library of songs "from scratch" at every startup. Most music players just use the built-in media library automatically, and at minimum it should remember the last set of music loaded. Once you've loaded the list of songs, it's then very cumbersome to choose a different song. I think this app would benefit greatly from a UI redesign using the "Material" standard, at least the behavior part of it if you want to keep the current appearance.
Ok wow cannot believe that this equalizer exists that on android then as well fantastic. Ok thats the good part but one problem well not so bad it does not support all audio files please update cannot play audio file with WAV extension, not supported. I added 30 equalizers and I set the range from 20hz to 16khz all of them work. Very good for parties will recommend this app to anyone for music. Please update to support all audio files. Thank you.
CAUTION: This player allows amplification of sound frequencies that can be dangerous at high volumes. This player is quite unique. However, you must know what you want from a music player first. Do you enjoy using an equalizer at all? Do you get enough bass from your current player? Did you already purchase a music player? These are the types of questions you must ask yourself before using this app. While it is free(and contains ads), is it the perfect player for you? This player looks nice. I like to start by changing the preset settings and inserting a PEQ. The PEQ only has a preamp and can add bands with the + button. The equalizer settings can be changed at the bottom. Try it first with one band. The band works with two frequencies- one maximum and one minimum. The affected frequencies are in a range between these two frequencies that can be set by the user. The most dramatic setting that can be achieved is adding one band with 8.0k maximum and 5.0k minimum; this adds air and separation to the music in small amounts. Only remember to use restraint with this app, as even frequencies below 20hz can be amplified. My eardrums were pounding. My quest for bass has ended.
Terrible UI (looks very similar to Android 2.0 era) and lack of sorting means it's a pain to use. The parametric EQ cannot be adjusted per db which also makes it less useful. There is also no tutorial for how individual settings for(and what is the number underneath the db in parametric EQ for). It has a great potential, but it's so bad that it feels like an abandon project.
Awesome equalization... amazing sound... even best than many heavily paid music player apps. Thanks to adsp team for providing this app as free... one issue needs attention that saving AF chain after modification on the previously saved ones also modifies it automatically... one more thing is that this is a very time taking process to reset equalizer at 0 position after once you displace it. Please provide a way to reset it easily.... Thanks.
Its extremely rare I'd ever consider giving a Player/EQ a 5 star rating. For as many as I've tested this will only be my 3rd, out of about 150 apps over the years. Now as much as I hate the UI, god it is a headache and dated; this app gives you what you need to sound like no other. Its extremely clear and well defined,I would put it on the plane of say Poweramp which I have used exclusively the last 5 years because nobody could seem to top it. For a phone this comes pretty close to my DAP.
Best sound quality from a dozen of players I tried. Lack of customization, no search within folder option. I don't know how to make a play list, maybe somebody can help me!
Hi, this is a good app. Congrats.i want to mention an issue. In a playlist, if we move to next song, a chunk of previous song is played. Maybe, the output buffer isn't cleared, it seems. Please check. Thanks.
Without question, the best audio player app (free) you will find. It can take some time to configure the settings according to your taste, but worth the time. Now, if only streaming services, eg tidal, etc, could be played through the app...
it takes patience to tailor it to your desired effect but the best so far i've tested. there's lots of flexibility if you know what you're doing. still there's spurious clicks when listening on bluetooth. but once properly set up, superb sound.
Second to none, this music player by Alexander is the best audio reproduction app I've used thus far. I rated aDSP Player 5-Stars purely for the ability to personalize the sound. Apart from the graphic equalizer (shown when playing), the look of the app is not really aesthically pleasing.
The player is very good. I can compare it with poweramp. The only problem I have with it is how it arranges my music. Try and make it play per music folder. Like folder players on googleplay. I recently bought poweramp at $2 but if you can modify it to select folder after folder, then i can buy it at 3$. I like the bass..
Options galore for personal preferences.UI takes some brain time to get familiar with . Overall best as far as i know. All the best and thankyou. Would help if we can select specific folder or only songs to play in this app. (PS; background is dull.). Sorry guys.
as powerful as the sound of this app. why does it have to be ALL ABOUT SOUND ONLY. nothing more. please fix FOLDER. (if you really care about your app users..give them what they want). make it possible to easily view music in folder. we don't have to screw down down down down; all for searching folder. please visit other music app to see how they arrange their folders. ALSO ADD SEARCH ICON please. All your update still revolves to same thing..nothing really new or special.
Real Equalizer !!! If You looking for real sound adjustment app , You found it ! For developer , Great App really !!! There ara lot of people in the world who cares obout Good Sounding Music. Please fix the bugs . Please make this equalizer work with streaming apps as You Tube , Deezer , Spotify , radio apps and others !!! Then You can start to collect money from satisfired costumers. Deserves five stars on sound quality but awkward controls and no guide means this is confusing to do any adjustments to the sound, bass quality is rich and deeper than most music players I have heard on android, overall a great player but needs improved access to playlists and guide to sound features,hifi like sound almost perfect just needs slicker look and features.This should be top android player app but UI needs rework for easier use.
When screen is turned on the music continues playing. Therefore, the worst part is that the app only works when screen is active, not when screen is dormant. Also it has no playing options like random selection, repeat of same song, etc.
I have reviewed my rating for one common problem that is recurring even after update; the app has no auto reshuffle play mode and many times it goes silent when I forward or select the next song so I have to restart the app again, kindly fix this problem but the rest I love everything!
Awesome APP May be the WORLD S BEST PLAYER FOR PHONE EVEN BETTER THAN IPHONE S . I encourage people to try this app to understand how it feels especially if you know how to make your own equalizer using this app.Truly makes listening to music a pleasure. God Bless Your work. Few things need to be added and corrected, playlist saved has all the songs when loaded,doesn't play wav files, and there is heavey distortion when changing From one set of AF TO ANOTHER.
What's the point of wide range level 2 when you can just even better stabilize 10√2 wide band.....it's safer then having level 3^2....but as I do see the point; but as 10√2 pre-qualifies level 2√3^ wide band....maybe apps should have terms based too the apps, have Google play pro; and student based
Its agood app if it comes to sound. I was given a sound that my ears always wanted but it need much upgrading like much is missing if it comes to a music player app. Three stars for the sound.
The music quality is sweet but the UI is unplesant and confusing. Am just fiddling with the options without knowing what i am doing. Sometime the song crashes when i play with the options.
Very Good!!! I have a Galaxy S9 running Pie since Feb.3rd. Have Power Amp player for 4 years now! This app is working well with Bluetooth earbuds and headphones. Sound is excellent! I'd pay $ to get rid of Ads though! Keep doing what you're doing guy to improve app in any way!
Excellent program, does exactly what it is meant to. UI could use some love but good luck finding another free program with this kind of functionality.
Wooh amazing how this goes extremely low in deep bass but seemed hard to save some of the eq setting as well as use it for radio please fix that as well as are there updates or more features for this app other than the ones I found with it thanks.
Very promising...but All over the place. No minimal option. Ugly grey background, ugly. No option to just music in filesystem. I would simplify the enhancement settings. No album cover in playing Tab.
Fantastic Application! The UI needs to be revamped slightly but for the most part everything is accurate and responsive. Users need to exercise caution when adjusting the preamp to avoid damage to both hearing and to headset units. Nicely done. Good work!
