Player One Golf : Nine Hole Golf

The mechanics are hard to deal with. I like the customizing your own golfer complete with outfit, hair style, name, etc. but the golfing part is hard to get into. I also LOVE the idea of single player golf. That's what made me install this app. I don't want to play against other people. I just want to play a round of golf on my own. But this one is too frustrating. Fix the issues, give the ball a directional line showing the direction it's going to go on the green & I'll reinstall it.

Decent single player golf game but the quality of the UI is a little basic and lacks options for granular adjustments. Also extremely hard to see the course in birds eye view as there's no way to zoom out or change view to view entire course. Ball also does some things periodically that does not conform to the laws of physics so there seems like there are some bugs. Edit: significant glitches and no way to contact support about them

Pretty cool... except sometimes at the Beach, I putt a projected distance, but the ball only moves a couple feet. I also wish you could keep your skills after 10 seasons, and not have to retire your golfer, instead of having to start all over. What happened to more courses and different pin placements?? It's been 8 months. Also...I will hit balls that clearly miss trees but it still says I hit the trees. Please fix that.

100% fun!!! I am so addicted to it that I got my Fiance playing it to. It is a little difficult at first but you can rank up your players power every event. It took me 5 season (each season is 8 rounds) to go to pro but it's worth getting better at. Great job!!!

3 stars is generous. An otherwise good game is ruined by the fact there's no consistency in ball drift in wind speeds. 50% power chip shots might get you 10 yards or over 50 yards. Putting is bad and also inconsistent. I would not recommend unless you enjoy being frustrated.

Not the most sublime graphics in the golf game lane. BUT, simple straight forward controls and good, fun game to pass the time on. If you want bells & whistles, or chatting, look else where.

Thank you very much for this offline golf game, especially for me since I grew up on every offline golf game since NES golf (1984), but please update spin control and how the ball responds to impact and especially wind. Great start to an unfinished game.

Move on by. This game is terrible. Targets are accurate UNLESS you are playing well. Movement because of wind is extremely different with the same wind speeds. This game in no way, shape or form is enjoyable or "beatable". I am glad I spent $0, that is exactly what I spend on RIP-OFFS!

Game is set not to give you but one or two pars per game but will give you water hazards shots most of game. The positive is that it is free and off-line.

Upon further review, I'm 100% certain the wind does whatever it wants to, just like real life. There must be built in wind gusts as well. 1mph crosswind had me off the fairway with a perfect shot down the middle. Next drive had 17mph cross that barely affected the ball. I don't get it. Makes it very difficult, if not impossible to do well. I've played a lot of games over the years and this one has me defeated. I'm used to winning races, making head shots. Not with this one. Great game otherwise

I love the fact that this is a game where it is me playing a round of golf against the course. No heads up, not goofy balls, just golf. However the shot physics is messed, the shot preview is inaccurate, I somehow went past my landing spot by several feet with a 0mph wind and aiming for about 80% power. No.way to know what power you did get or where your aim was as you click the button, and the indicator keeps moving leaving no mark as the screen immediately switches to the aim screen/ shot. Sad

Bad even on airplane mode this game intentionally makes you take a timeout for ads. Worst game makers I can think of.

Great! So far. The wind hard to predict, makes it very challenging!!! Takes patience,skills....!!!!!

The game I've been looking for. Plenty of tee time and no nickel and diming. I spent about $10.00 and I'm up the leader board fairly well, and above $100,000 in earnings. The is bit tricky, but easy to adjust to once you've played half a season. Plus, the practice courses work well for learning the clubs. I completed a season in about three hours. A wonderful game. Thank you developers!

It's fun has some difficult places that can make you frustrated but eventually you can figure them out

Ball never goes where it's supposed to. One shot on practice will NOT go in. Can't hit it hard enough. Balls always land in water or sand. Very frustrating. Yet, I keep playing. Not overloaded with ads.. This is good. Game is quick, minimal waiting for animation. Therefore I give it more stars than the game itself deserves.

I enjoy the format, but trying to get accurate power on my shots seems impossible. I do not see a meter or gauge to use for the clubs when making shots and using the shot preview doesn't always work. Has great potential. I have tried that. With most clubs it seems ok, but chipping and putting don't seem to work. I just chipped at 30% power and it just flipped in front of me. Update. Still a fun game and have gotten better but the fundamental problems still exist making short game tough

Not a fan of the latest update, which is a shame because I really enjoyed this game. None of the BS pay-to-win match players on other platforms, just you against the AI and the elements. I can deal with the graphics changes; in fact, I rather liked most of them (although the swing meter changes are a little too over the top). But the addition of short chips and putts versus the standard shots has been difficult to adjust to. Feels like I'm starting over from square one relearning the game.

I really like this game because it's one player and i don't like the multiplayer games out there that match you up with someone 10 times better than you. This game gives you a chance to constantly improve your skills - as you progress through the seasons, your skills will improve. It takes time to master the controls. After a few seasons my meter slowed down to make it more consistent. I was then winning seasons! Give it a chance! Drawback - the meter reset to fast when a new golfer started.

What I like: simple, single player and realistic. No silly things like trick shot balls, special magic clubs or courses with loops like other games. The amount of ads is reasonable too, and if you turn off data, they don't show. What I don't like: they've now fixed all my previous gripes, so I upped my review to 4 stars. The only thing I want is more courses, there are only five 9 hole courses total, no matter what level you get up to.

Very enjoyable. The reason for 4 stars: when you are close enough to the green that you have to hit your shortest club at a very small percentage, can I suggest 1 of 2 things...a percentage marker on power meter and shot line...or...allow to adjust the ball line shorter. These are precision shots in golf and the player should be able to make one. Otherwise, nice game.

It's what i was looking for. Fun, achievable but requires some skill to be developed, but not rediculous when a "hard" shot has to be played. I hope the courses change more moving forward. The putting strength power dial is too quick and i've had it "whiff" on short puts. That being said, i'm able to shoot under par more as i play more so....amyway I'm enjoying it thus far.

This game reminds me of FPS:GOLF, and I love it. It is simple and uncluttered, easy intuitive controls, pleasant courses, wind and putting are easily understandable. I so appreciate it! The graphics are a lovely throwback to the hayday of PC golf games, and I find that on a smart phone screen these less detail intense graphics are plenty to give that relaxing golf course feel, but not give you a headache squinting to see all the little bits and bobs.

My favorite golf game! Very much like the real game. Only a few bucks one time to buy skills(power, accuracy, spin, putting accuracy) and get rid of ads. Worth the money... You use the skills over and over again on all the players you create. Once you finish a player's career (100 rounds) you get a world ranking according to his or her career earnings. Very well thought out, complex yet not complicated. If you actually play real golf you'll pick it up fast. Addictive and so much fun. Well done !

Its different from the cartoonish games.. It will try your patience.. I like it. And have retired many..

I like this game, it is challenging. But I am an avid golfer and the one thing I find that is not forgiving in the game is when the ball skims the side of the hole it does not drop in. I have played golf for many years and I have had a lot of balls catch the edge of the cup and drop in. This game has no forgiveness when this happens, which should be changed and give at least a 50/50 chance of falling in to the cup. But overall, I still give it a 5 star rating for good graphics, great playing

Decent but don't expect any consistency with the wind. One shot a 90 degree cross wind only affects the line of flight, not distance then the next shot it affects both. Putting from the fringe is a whole level of guesswork to figure out which way the ground slopes before the green. I like this game but it frustrates me a lot.

Not a bad effort, shot gauge gets a little laggy and it's hard to be accurate. Wind gets really difficult to judge and makes some holes near impossible to make par. Game seems to screw you when your doing well. Graphics doable, sound is ok. Commentary is cool. Sadly the whole game became extremely frustrating after the first round all because of stupid, non closable ads forced on you every 3 holes! What a joke. Better ways to use advertising and even if you can pay to remove them. Disappointed.

I have played about 50 times and haven't done too well. I paid to get rid of adds and have also paid for power ups. The first couple times it did what it was supposed to do. This morning I paid the max for 6 power ups and it gave me three on the ball spin. I figured OK try again so then I bought two more for a total of eight because I wanted to power up my drives and aim. Nothing happened. So now you owe me 5 more. Why didn't it work and improve my drives and aim. Blatant ripoff

Wind direction and speed, and club choice and shot power/direction controls matter none whatsoever. The ball will go wherever the game decides it should go. For real. If you give it a go, don't let yourself waste too much time thinking it gets better, because I did, and it doesnt...
