Great app easy to use. The one issue I have with the app is the messaging system. I get notifications for new messages, click on the notification to go into the app to read it, get into the chat and see a message from 4 days ago. The message chats rarely update unless you close out and go back into the app. And you can't send messages until the chat is updated.

It is truly amazing just how terrible this app is. Slow, buggy, freezes, crashes, makes my entire phone chug like I'm installing Windows on it and what's worst of all is Sony can't get it together long enough to either fix it or give me some other way to access party calls with friends, so I have to stick it out with it.

I really cannot stress how badly this app runs on my mobile phone. It's not the fastest phone, but it definitely can run all apps fine. It's slow, unresponsive at times and can get really frustrating. The UI design looks very good, and it does help with chatting with friends and buying games from the store. I'd like to see the older features like What's New come back which was present in the older version.

I like using PSN to type messages to friends because it's easier than typing on the actual console itself. Lately, the app gives me notifications of friends sending messages, but I can't actually send or receive the messages I'm getting notified about. The app won't update or tells me I can't send a message. Internet and phone are both fine. Very clunky app missing a lot of cool features. Honestly considering just permanently deleting and just texting friends via my phone's text messages now.

Can't search to see trophies for games you own easily. It would actually be nice to have a dedicated and easy to navigate personalized page, allowing you to manage games you own and games you want to buy. Even better if you could set it to let you know when there are price changes.

This is one the slowest apps I have ever owned and you cant even do anything if youre in a ps party on the app. I turn on my mobile hotspot and it kicks me, if I open a video or voice chat on a different app it'll kick me, if I take a picture on something that isnt snapchat itll kick me. This app has pros like being able to text or party with friends without having to actually use your console, but its hard to text sometimes because of how slow it is and you cant do a lot on ps party.

I like it a lot. I'm a Rust console player so knowing whats going on in the group even when I'm not online is crucial. The app crashes every hour or two after being in a party. But that ain't much of a problem since I mainly use it for messages and to drop in the party for quick check ins. Its super cool knowing what's going on in the group chat without being online I usually use it at school when I get a chance to check what's going on. Overall could be better but its great where its at.

Absolute worst. The UI is simply very great but using it is the worst. Slow loading times and slow startups are annoying. It can't even load my account data or visit the PS Store. Can't believe this accompanies my experience for my PS5, ridiculous. I have more than 100+ MBps and it doesn't load. I've seen more demanding applications my phone can handle easily, but this single unoptimized app cannot keep up with the others. Needs more work done. Edit after a year: Laggier, more unresponsive.

Good app and love that you can view your captures. At times though, the app is very slow, and you can only select up to four of your captures to download. The download speed is fast, but once you start to download, the app becomes even slower and less responsive.

Perfect idea, not so perfect execution. Upset they removed access to the PS3 and PSVita store. The store itself os a great idea, and when it works properly its amazing, however it has some major flaws. It sometimes shows games that you've purchased as not paid for, and can lead you to buying the same game.

This app is okay, but it's kinda laggy and takes time to load. Anyways, recently something's been happening with the notification quick response thing. If I get 2 or more notifs that people messaged me and I choose to quick reply to them, sometimes the message will go to the other person who also messaged me, and it would also be stuck sending to the original person. Also sometimes the quick response just doesn't send my message, so I have to open the ps app and re-type what I wanted to say.

Edit: Reducing the rating down to 1 Star because they still haven't fixed the PS App support for Chromebook/Laptop. It still refuses to open and closes automatically when I try to launch it. So either they removed the Chromebook/Laptop support or it's a bug they still haven't gotten too and until they do, my rating won't change.

There is a few bugs that needs attention.Then there are some features that I would like to see added to the app like in the wishlist to swipe left or right to remove something from the wishlist foe example after purchasing a game it stays in your wishlist.And the other feature I would like to see is when you get a trophy for a game on the system it takes a screenshot I would like if that screenshot would show on the app as well.

Gonna be honest it stopped working like 4 days after I downloaded it. It wont show me any messages and it wont let me join parties with the app. Hoping this update fixes that and if it does I might throw an extra star or two on for it having achieved the bare minimum.

After the last update I can't even sign in. I used to use this app all the time to see my trophies level, sales and so on, but now I can't even sign in with 2sv. I have the authenticator app installed and all and it still gives an error with every code. It's sp infuriating 😔

It works great for messaging my friends, and chatting! I don't like how I can't use any of my social medias with this, otherwise I'm booted from the party. Other than that, it's a good app. You know, you guys should add a voicemod into this! You know, with autotune, echo effects and such. That would make gaming so much more fun. I

Great app. I use it to get the monthly free games and can start downloading them right from the app. Basically it does all of the things the 'store' does on the playstation. Very rarely do I have issues with this app and when I do it is usually because of my internet connection.

Edited from prev versions: It's a decent app. I can download and check storage space on my ps5 away from my console. The messaging had fallen through though. I get one notification out of 10 of the messages I get.

Apart from looking very cool, the app is just so slow it bairly works! When you tap on anything it takes a long time to go into it. It's painfully laggy and slow to use, near about impossible

This app is very useful but the one problem is every time and want to join a party it keep on saying another app is using the microphone even though none of them are so it can get frustrating so please can you fix this but apart from that everything is working well

Doesn't display players I've played with like the old app. Can't search for conversations I've had. Really slow. The old app was better. Frequently can't search anything. Buggy as hell.

It is genuinely faster to type out sentences with a controller than to try and do ANYTHING with this app. Store, messages, search, anything I want to do on my S8 active Is incredibly slow. I hate using it, I wish there was a third party app I could go to instead. I now have a Nokia xr20, a phone released very recently. This app is still terrible on it and doesn't even work most of the time I try to use it.

Great app, very useful... the only thing that would get that last star would be the ability to join parties from the app and use it to communicate in them for the few who don't have/can't afford a decent headset... (or those like me whos headset is pathetic)

The app itself is alright. It crashes every now and then but not a big deal. However it would be pretty cool to access the capture gallery instead of having to upload to YouTube from the console. Just an idea. I'm sure others would agree. 2 years later and this basic feature ,everyone has been asking for, is still not a thing... Sony. You're slow AF. Microsoft is way smarter than y'all. And Ive been a playstion guy since PS1

It's funny really that because an app is an official brand it must get bad ratings. The two star reviews are way off the mark. The app isn't broken, sluggish, crashes, it's your phone that's the problem. This app is great. Easy to use in all categories. Wishlist notifications is really handy. The media share update needs to hurry up. That and being able to look at trophies are all that's missing now.

Party Chat consistently fails. Im not sure what they have done to this app recently because it use to work just fine. However now the app is laggy when responding and reading messages, fails to send them to others and constantly fails to let you join parties on mobile. I don't know why. The button prompt to join pops up same as ever, but now clicking it produces no results. Most often you just get kicked back to the app splash page. Would be a nice app if it worked...but it doesn't.

why do you make it so difficult to claim your PS+ monthly games with this app? it should be as convenient as the store. (but if you make the store worse I'll switch to PC.) mild issues with the app when it comes to uploading images for messaging other than that it's decent. this app is my preference for voice chat while gaming simply because PlayStation4 has garbage Bluetooth capability when it comes to headsets pairing with the console.
