This is one of my favorite services. I WISH they would bring back the playstation video store so we can purchase movies again. I think that was a huge mistake and big inconvenience. Moreover sense they did away with the store they should make the movies purchased downloadable as well as this app available on ALL platforms. This is the best app around! Please do not ever let it go.

Streaming is usually pretty good quality with decent access to a lot of movies. However with PS downscaling streaming, getting access to the movies I've purchased is becoming more difficult. My choices are pretty much, my phone or my actual PlayStation console. I could be wrong, but I think these are the only ways to access. Also no way to organize your purchases so all special features show up as their own title on the menu.

I've got all my entertainment on this. No clutter, no scratches and no lost or stolen discs. Easy to access to over 500 movies and counting. It would receive a 5 Star rating except it's missing a search function for purchased products. Even an alphabetic selection bar on the side for easy selection would be nice. As my collection grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to find what I'm looking for in the mix. Love the play back quality thought and the user interface beyond the above mentioned.

The Positives: The quality of the vids are good. the sound is decent and as always quality is really managed in the end by the ability of your device to deliver sound and video. The Negatives: If you have a trailer that you want to get rid of, so far as I have seen, you cannot delete it. I would suggest a more plainly visible option for deletion of videos from ones library.

I downloaded the app because sometimes on the PS4 console the store can be a little hard to navigate and freeze up. So I downloaded this that it would be easier to see what new movies came out and possibly rent them. After downloading it and clicking on movies, then new releases, it lists nothing but TV shows. I thought maybe I clicked on the wrong thing so I rechecked and sure enough, no matter what I click on it shows nothing but TV shows. I don't care about the TV section I want movies.

I purchased entire seasons of a show I watch. I watch them on the ps4. But when I want to watch them on my phone via the app it says this message (I tried it on 4 phones so it's not my settings).. ' Can't playback: Unable to play your video. Try launching it again. If this problem continues, please contact Customer Support. ' I emailed customer support and they haven't answered in the last two months. So it's safe to assume they don't care and don't plan to respond.

Buying through the app doesn't work. Everytime I'm browsing and click to buy a movie, it then turns my screen black and freezes! & Sometimes captions are too fast as well on some movies (not all)! But works perfect when buying in ps4. Other than that, It's a really good platform for watching your paid videos. Would rate it 5 stars - until the issue is fixed.

it's great to be able to have the availability to download movies I purchased to my phone and watch when I want. But after the android software update, I lost the chance to add more downloads and some of the ones I downloaded prior I can't watch now. And it keeps saying temporarily paused everytime I try and then doesn't work. I've switched wifi connections 3 times. Now with the most recent software update, I can't view or stream anything from my Sony bravia television.

Good day. I too have encountered issues with the playstation video app. It used to work on this very phone. Android had a recent update and that may be where the issue lies. I own a K40 phone. Please let me know what I can do to fix this issue. I absolutely love playstation but this is very frustrating. Customer service is non-existent. Thanks so much. For a while this app was working for me, and I was able to watch movies and tv shows I've bought on the go or at work sometimes. As of a week ago, the app will not play anything and doesn't appear to even be trying. I have closed the app and reopened it, made sure its updated, uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried on 3 different wifis and mobile data. Nothing fixes it. Even worse is Playstation's "Contact Support" designed to never let you CONTACT them and doesn't have any useful selfhelp info.

I'm as well having the same problem. The moble app has completely stopped working. I rely on this app a lot to download and watch movies in no signal areas. Now, after buying two movies I come to find the app completely nonfunctional. I was told to contact customer support but getting a straight forward answer on how to do that is damn near impossible. Please fix soon. Thank you.

The movies downloaded fast which was awesome because my other app took a while and downloaded 1 at a time. I went to watch a movie to kinda test it out and it was black. sound came through and sounded great but no video. I tried all 6 movies but the same thing. I can rate a 5* app store because it works great on my iPhone 6s. I just got a Samsung Galaxy S10e and it is not working. fixed please or look in to it. Thank you.

I have a good experience overall. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because every once in a while it will say Error when playing a video and you can't access any movies from mobile devices every now and then. I also must mention that you cannot purchase movies from this app. Which is weird but okay I guess. It needs to be integrated into this app for sure at some point though.

Not a great app. Half the time it doesnt even work or let me watch my videos. It's also very annoying to try and continue watching a show after one episode is over because there is no way to just continue. You have to go back and find the next episode yourself. Constantly gives me playback errors with no explanation. I regret ever buying shows on playstation.

Awesome This app is very convenient. While I am at work or out and about I can access all of my videos. As an added benefit you can download the videos beforehand on wifi at home or abroad. So you don't use your data. I did this on an iPad. Love that feature. I would recommend this app to any playstation user. Remember as long as you can put apps on the device and access the web, you can download any video to watch later.

Once again this app is messing up. In the past there's been few times I've had issues with the hundreds of videos I have not playing. Now I can't get the app to open. It just stays on the loading screen. With all the issues this app keeps having, buying videos is a waste of time and money. If the app was updated more than once or twice a year that might help.

I actually enjoy renting movies. The prices are a buck or two too high for a rental, and owning is steep. With that being said, buying movies, is digital... and forever. If they adjusted their rates, I would rate it five stars. Streams great, interface is smooth and easy to navigate.

If this gets an better UI update when PS Video shifts its service to subscription based streaming then it should deserve a higher score. Honestly, the reason why I use this is because I own a PlayStation and nothing else. I got some shows and movies for cheap and I like wstching them. If this gets a better menu navigation on the apps as well as the option to hide certain shows and films, I would think this is a top quality app. It does the job for letting me watch shows and films, nothing else.

Fantastic alternative to Google Play etc. After finding a lot of movies being removed from Google Play Movies with no explanation why I decided fo give PS Video a go and have come away impressed. Movies are cheaper and have more features plus they offer package deals that Google doesn't. Works on PS4, phone, chromecast and PC so no issues there.

Its great to have access to have my Playstation Video on the go. But, the app could use some updates and some "New" Features. I can't purchase anything on the app and now the app has stopped working completely. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It still won't work at all!!!! PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!

I can't view movies on the TV using my chromecast, it keeps loading at infinity and the chromecast tells me that there's no media selected. The reason I'm giving the app 2 instead of 1 stars is that I can at least watch movies directly on my phone, but I rather watch a feature-length movie on my TV than my phone honestly. If the chromecast issue persist, then this app is completely useless to me and probably many others.

This app has many problems that seem to be skipped over. Many have issues downloading movies and shows. My issue lies with the the fact that the app quit working. It won't let me watch anything on it. I just get an error message. Ive deleted the app and redownloaded and still nothing. I shouldn't have to try to fix the app myself

Look, this is a great app and all but it has issues. One is that you can't buy movies on the app, two it has slow download speed for when you can download the movies on your phone, and last is the problems that it's going through right now and not letting anyone sign in and telling you that you need to have more space in your storage when you are at 95% empty.

This app is pretty bad. There is no option to go full screen so I end up watching shows and movies with only 1/3 of the screen. Other than that, the app needs to be updated to become more modern like Netflix and Disney+ as far as the layout and menus. The subtitles also need major work done because they are almost always off by 30 seconds or more.

The app hasn't been working lately. Was told to clear data or uninstall and reinstall then wait a few hours. Tried both and it still won't work. Very frustrating. When it worked it was great, but being unable to access for 2 weeks with no indication of when it will be fixed is very irritating.

I have a hundred plus movies with PSN, but i find this app very slow. It seems to want way more memory than my phone is able to offer, and seems to reload itself multiple times before you can even watch anything. On my PS4, the movies play fast and easy and audio as you would expect it. However with the app, and using Chromecast to view on a TV, it is slow and the audio lacks depth. Fyi, I have been able to watch PSN video on a PC with Firefox browser, but doesn't like Chrome .

Absolutely horrific. Every time I try to rent or purchase a new video or TV show, once I get to the confirm purchase screen it pops a black screen over everything and the purchase will not go through. I've tried signing out and back in, refreshing the page, deleting the app and reinstalling, nothing has worked.

This app is so slow. I will press play on a movie multiple times and nothing happens. Connecting to chromecast through this app is terrible, it took about 10 minutes to connect (I checked other apps to see if they were the same and they connected immediately, so it was definitely an issue with this app). Considering how big Playstation is I'm surprised at how bad a simple app is.

Can't buy videos. When I click confirm payment I get stuck on a black screen, without ever being charged and have to close the app. I CAN however watch videos already in my library, but without being able to purchase them on the go it kills this app for me. It used to work but the problem started early this year on my galaxy s8 and I now have an s10 and still doesn't work and it hasn't worked since the problem started.
