PlayTo Roku & Now TV

This app appeared to have promise but with SO many damn ads popping up I can't tell if it actually works! There is a pop up mesaage that claims a favorite sports streaming site of mine won't work unless I upgrade but I don't trust it. I wish these devs would release a 30 minute or 1 hour trial period of the full unlocked version for testing purposes to see if the app suits the users' needs making it easier to decide whether to buy or not.

played the movie file on my computer (Chromebook), clicked o stn the little icon...The TV had certainly detected something was about to be cast, but a message appeared saying "your program will begin after this message". Sat through a short commercial. The video is still loading and won't play. Repeated the process, playing the video on the computer, then casting, and once again it made me sit through a commercial first. Do people actually buy the stuff that appears in such intrusive ads?

Downloaded this today, so far good,you have to pay £1.39 a week after a free week, and two weeks of 99p, to watch longer videos, but good to stream movies. I have Netflix and everything on there is boring. I have Amazon Prime (won't let me play that on this app or any other app I've tried). But to stream movies it's good. Good for my Now TV stick. Tried many other apps and non of them worked. Just try different movie sites until one works.Follow the instructions on how to get this app to work.

Buggy, irregular functionality, bought subscription but will be cancelling. Plays for a while then pauses, says "loading" but alas that's where it stays. Great for the few moments that it lasts, though.

DO NOT BUY ANY VERSION OF PLAYTO. 8 people I know bought various versions of PlayTo. And it's good whilst it works. The problem is they now want a monthly income. And seem to have created a fictitious update so those who paid and struck with the developers from the start. Now have a useless Universal version. Im sure this version will work when you've paid.Fair enough. BUT When will the price change. Oh and you never hear form them again once you've paid and are if no use anymore. SHAME!

Lame app. Makes you add channel to your tv then forces you to watch ads before playing media. Found the new Roku TV but displays movies incorrectly. Potrait aspect phone videos are displayed sideways! Developers need to address this issue asap.👎👎👎👎👎

Doesn't work at all. Myself and several friends tried it on various devices and not one worked. You can view photos or 10 second vids stored on your phone, on your smart tv, but it certainly doeant accomodate streaming if any kind.

You watch more of there ads than your movies. Very useless. Too many ads. Don't download it. I repeat don't download it. Way too many ads. I could not even watch my movie. Useless app made by money hungry developers. Keep looking for a a better app. This is not it.

It's awesome! I'm using it to cast my buddy's drone videos from my friend's OneDrive directly to my 55" UHD HDR Roku TV. Setup was beyond easy. Quality is perfect! The app automatically plays each video in the folder in succession. I couldn't be happier.

Don't get this app it is so full of spam it doesn't even work. There cannot possibly be a worse program on the entire planet. Get this app ONLY if you want to be completely disappointed. I cannot possibly describe the frustration this garbage has caused me both on Android and IOS it just won't work. Watch the generic response to this rating will be "make sure you have a solid wifi connection" and trying to put their failures off onto my ISP but the truth is this program belongs in the landfill.

Terrible, doesn't work basically at all. Got it to work once and it played a 30 second ad no problem, but then 1 second in to the video I wanted to cast it quit. Wasted my time

Hardly ever works... when it does, it's okay but have to press key to send video like 50 times in order for it to work once. Horrible app.

I got this just so I could stream to my friends Roku, which was weird bcuz I didn't know prior even had Roku tv. It was a shock & it was very confusing. But it allowed me to stream my phone's content & online content

Ads start to play no problem. However, the content you actually want to watch doesn't. Really frustrating.

I love this app it's really easy to use, and has allowed me to use my now tv stick to it's full potential. I can now watch a vast range of movies, and tv shows via sites that i thought were off limits until I come across this app. A very happy customer I recommend this app highly definitely worth a 5 star rating !!!.

Stopped streamed after roughly 10 minutes and would only play further if you paid for an upgrade. Waste of time. Absolute rubbish. Uninstalled

Since February, Roku TV is helping me getting the news and no other paid company is taking care for months. Covid19 issue maybe the actual problem. Thank you Roku!

Doesn't work, can't find any devices and I have multiple connected and on the same network with the playto app open while scanning for devices

I paid for the subscription and now it shows multiple devices yet wont select either asking me to download the app which I already have. what the hell, I didnt have any issues untill I subscribed. time to unsubscribe.

I only got the app to stream to my roku device once, i was halfway into the episode when it quit. Hasnt worked for anything but ads since.

It cast to the ROKU just fine but after that it was pretty useless. Video controls are crummy. Slider doesnt work.

complete waste of time. crashed on first install. places sponsored advertisements ahead of each media played. nags every minute to upgrade.

Trash and buggy for no reason, have to subscribe to use unlimited streaming online which makes sense, but when it's offline what the acc hell. Can't even watch bids that are more than a minute long acc pathetic

Waste of time and randomly decides to connect to every device and keeps cycling through, and what is the hold to forget the device and do the same to remember it Jesus what a mess of an app.

downloaded full version so i could actually eatch entore movie without it cutting of and saying please upgrade now... and refreshed multiple times and STILL DOESNT WORKING ON MY LG V10! REFUND PLEASE?!

I can't even get this to open. It closes before I can even finish putting info in. After trying 7 times I am done. what complete waste

Either the instructions on the Roku app are wrong or this app is wrong. Either way, tried all 3 PlayTos, all failures.

It only a 30 minute demo, it works well, but you are forced to buy the full app if you actually want to use it.

DOES NOT " MIRROR MOBILE DISPLAY" to any Roku. All I want to do is mirror my contents. I dont want to cast urls or websites or movies. I already have those capabilities
