Plex VR

Would like the ability to drag 3D projections where I need them. My Pixel 2 drifts a bit and I constantly have to recenter--I'd prefer just dragging the image where I want it, and it'd be nice to be able to recline also. Skybox (another VR viewing app) has great functionality for this, so please take a look and perhaps a page from their playbook.

Extremely limited in functionality. No way to simply browse content by folder (which is a must for many) and a little glitchy. But what it DOES have isn't bad. But because it's missing so many features that should just be standard, I can't give it 3 or 4 stars (which is what I would give it otherwise)

As of SEP 2018, remote access is garbage. I have it two stars because it was working fine seeing my home server. It no longer see it, even though on the uninstalled same device I am able it access my server via remote access, AND watch media in that server via PLEX with the regular app. I've restarted everything, uninstalled and re-installed the app. I'm using the proper headset (Daydream), and it's worked before. As of this point, it does not seem to access a server off network. I realize app development is hard, just got to say bring a Plex Plass holder, and feeling that Plex is such a substantial app right now I would hope the bugs would get fixed and worked out a lot more quickly than they are getting done now.

Dear Plex team. We need a solution to the "blue ring problem"!!! impossible to watch movies in VR without a controller as blue ring pointer doesn't disappear! downloaded plex vr especially for the "watch together" functionality and PAID for TWO plex accounts, only to have a blue ring hovering over the playback. this is a known glitch, discussed on you web forum. please fix, or refund the subscription.

They really should allow repositioning when watching 180 degree videos. This is a basic functional feature of ALL VR video apps and PLEX is seemingly ignoring requests build this. This App feels like the Microsoft Internet Explorer of VR video players. Same strange design choices which completely ignore the voice of their customers.

It works. As others have said, sync support would be great. Also, local content management would be better. It takes ages to wade through the thousands of whatsapp videos to get to downloaded content and then it crashes

great app and works well, but seems processor heavy. Skybox/netflix play without jitter, but this is very slow, eapically when there is an on screen menu. That said i do have an old phone so probably my own fault.... Please add local sync

Can only use locally, when remote servers dont load. after signing out and bsck in servers show but as offline. standard plex app working perfectly. When remote and app is opened often dont get a menu. just black with stars. Disappointing.

Can't access local content as of the latest update, which is the only time I use this app (on a plane without internet access). Unfortunately without this feature the app is useless.

Would be great if it included the ability to recenter the view - for 180/360 vr videos, the default centering just doesn't work well and without the ability to recenter, they're unwatchable in Plex VR.

The program takes forever to load, then all screen touches are ignored. It is impossible to login . Finally I have to force close the app to get it to release my phone. I have a Moto z3 running Oreo 8.1

Plays all my Plex servers no problems, my favorite daydream app, really the only app I use besides netflix vr.

Connected to my local server once,then could never see it again. Trash. Please fix.

You almost lost a 4+ year customer over this trash. It's a completely useless vr app.

Wont display the keypad with my Pixel XL in VR and therefore i cant log in ans use it.

Can't even log in, there is not even virtual keyboard for input .... Rofl

App loads, but i cant look around. Other vr apps work fine.

Simply one of the best VR apps to watch TV or Movies.

Would not advance beyond the initial request for permissions screen on my S8+

It used to be a little buggy but generally worked on my Pixel 2 XL. This last update has made it so that no local content can be played... I didn't even bother trying to connect to my Plex server.. It seems to me that when it was a Daydream exclusive, things were good and improving.. Now with other devices being supported it's not even usable for me.

Causes my phone to over heat in 15-20min. Can't see downloaded items from the main Plex app and doesn't allow downloading within the app.

Alot of confusing bad reviews. The screen is movable, resizable and lockable. So you can lay down, sit up, etc. The 3D support and 180/360 is decent. Better than some but not all. Options for environment are good and I am sure will improve. Only real competition in VR is Skybox but that's really only for the options they have. Nothing holds a candle to Plex's organization and library management. Oh, and this is the DAYDREAM VERSION of the app. They have apps out for all major VR headsets. So, customers need to figure out how to use the right one. Dont give a bad review because it doesn't work with your headset if you are using the wrong app for your headset. Duh.

I would love to use this app but since it's not compatible with MYGT game controllers I can't do anything. Please add compatibility with phone connected game controllers so I can use this app.

After 15 attemps couldnt even click a button to get past initial screen. Ouch..

Useless without WiFi The menus won't even open unless you're on WiFi with a working Internet connection. It won't use mobile data, and it won't play locally synced content.
