I have been trying to update my new card, and it keeps asking to add new, when I add it says it's already connected. It's not giving any other information. Just stupid 🙄
Easy to use and transactions are up quick to make sure my balance is correct and on point.
Easy to use, just wish app and card was more personable and with more options n perks with usage.
Charges a dollar to use your own money and never refunds account and does not not add refunds to your account. Very poor customer service.

This app is very frustrating. Yes, the setup is easy but once you complete it and you login, it does not recognize the information. It allows you to reset your password or username but once you try to login again, it does not work. I am a current employee of PLS so it really irritates me that it doesn't operate correctly
You've updated the darn app, but after uninstalling, then reinstalling several times I still get the message to install latest update when I click to open the app. It's sending me in circles and I can't get to my acct info. Gave it only one star because it won't allow me to rate ZERO STARS.
Good support. Some places must accept this Debits card. Thanks for keep me informed and protect my money.
It says to update the new app but after I tried to update it ,it wouldn't open. It just keeps saying update the app. So I deleted it out and then reinstalled it and tried to update it and open it. It won't let me. And calling the CSR they never know anything and can never help me. I will be uninstalling this app and probably not even using PLS at all anymore as now they're charging for services they hadn't before.
If I Could have given it A 0, I Would've. This App is totally useless. I can't create an account AT ALL. I've only seen it work once on a PLS employees phone. From my trial with the App&other reviews I've seen, It seems PLS should really Update it&Fix all glitches as soon as possible because its no help to customers, more of an extra task. We have enough issues with the cards & getting things resolved over the telephone with PLS&Xpectations. We don't need more.
!! BEWARE !! Don't trust thier expectation pre-paid card.. Its a fraud.. Thier customer service is efficient in answering questions. But not 2gve feed backs and solving problems. There's no provisions 4claims. If a dispute is higher than $10, no temporary refund. Or wld they look into it.Ull totally lose d money.No alerts on refunds,Theyll steal it as monthly fees till card is empty I only use it to send money n buy lil stuff. Open account in a reputable bank. Those will protect ur finances.
i tried this app to see if it was as bad as everyone else said,and the answer is YES IT IS. just like everyone else, can't get past the sign in page, the text message to confirm the account never comes. bad enough that I'm having issues with the app, but I'm also having issues with the card; i might have to find a better option.
Everytime I go to view my transactions it keeps telling me it is having an error retrieving them. I have tried contacting support, I have tried resetting the app by deleting it and reinstalling it from my phone..have tried logging out and back in and still nothing.
I left one star up for grabs until AFTER I call customer service and review my card statement with them to have a better understanding on the charges and cardholder agreements possibly ... I may be at error for overlooking something or they may be so after I sort that out I'll shoot the 5th star because I am happy with the app itself all together it's easy to use and very convenient to have at the palm of my hand .
I thought that I was the only one experiencing logon issues with pls and expectations apps. I've called about the issue and was able to use the app a few times, but the issue returned. I've been waiting on tech support, for a couple of months to contact me. Needless to say, I haven't heard from them.
Because of this company, I was able to make purchases without any complications. All I have to do is add money in it, then afterwards, figure out what I want to purchase for myself. Great Xpectations cards!
I can't use the fingerprint reader it is not turn on so that I may register my fingerprint this out. It gives you instructions to do that but it still does not work. Update when I log in the AP will now allow me to turn on the fingerprint reader, however when I hit the back key on my phone it turns off so I STILL will not be able to use the fingerprint reader
This app is awesome, always works and makes things super convenient for when you are on the go, or just sitting at home wanting to check your balance. Shows Available Balance and tells you what transactions have cleared or are still pending on your account with Dates and Times. Awesome job guys keep up your great work!
8 dollars per month maintanence fee's plus 1.50 per debit card transacrion ! Way to many fees. Im paying more in monthly fees than i make.... Only way out of that fee stuff is to buy on credit evwry single purchase. And most stores have a 5 or 10 dollar minimum purchase fee to use a credit card. So basicly the card sucks. Already am switching to chime !
Worst experience ever with a phone app. It made me do something repeatedly. I tried to call customer service I got stuck in an automated system! If I could just talk to a real person instead of getting a computer I would have made it a lot higher!
Update 8/25/2020. Nothing has changed with this app. After I wrote this review, Im not able to login online. SMH. I do not like PLS APP. I don't like that we can not transfer funds between cards thru this app. You still have to deal with going online to login and transfer funds between cards. I wouldn't recommend this APP to anyone unless courtesy features have changed for customer convenience. Matadda. It's 8/7/2020, still no answer.
I was reluctant to download the app. The first day it worked fine. Then it started giving me an error message saying my info couldn't be updated. Last it logged me out then couldn't find my info in their system to reset my password. I should've gotten direct deposit with Chime instead. 😑👎
I really like the app so far- I'm moving my banking to this card so I can consolidate and I'm hoping that it's worth it , I really think it will be. Customer service is really terrific also every time that I have called. I feel like a jerk I forgot that girl's name that I just talked to I believe it was Alice. She was very helpful. The app and the banking line are really easy to follow, leaves very little to question. Happy customer!
Terrible app for a terrible card. Card is just highway robbery, they hold your money ransom, and make you pay to use it if you even can use it since many common uses are barred by xpectations/pls. Want to connect it to PayPal, Venmo, Cash app, Zelle, OfferUp, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, or your bank app? Too bad, ACCESS DENIED! PLS only lets you use it for simple POS card swipes, PIN transactions loading more money or the other things they have fees for. Oh and the fees...3% just to withdraw
No reloading fee no fee in with drawing money. .other banks do don't get me wrong it it's free if you do it in our bank.. but they don't charge any.. plus I don't have a credit score high enough to be given a regular checking and savings
This app does everything I need to manage my account. I am very happy with it.
To be honest with you i hate this card and everything associated with it. They charge you extra for everything which when your being told about this card they fail to mention. Everytime I use this card they take a percentage out of it. Store purchases, withdrawals everything. I mean there are no advantages with having this card. This card sucks. If I could give this company a zero I would. If it wasnt for my direct deposit I would have been cancelled this card. Sincerely an unhappy customer.
Horrible app....If u get a new phone, u have to create a new account even If u still have the same number. Also they hold a dollar for every transaction u attempt to make and a two dollar hold on the things u do purchase. U can never spend all the money u loaded on the card b'cuz all these ridiculous holds. The holds drop off aweek later, card and app is trash.
I installed tge app and tried to open up my account!!! I put all of my info but couldn't get past the verification process, every time I put in tge code it wouldn't accept the code, so I just uninstalled the app!!! Seems like a waste of time to me!!! I guess that explains the 2.6 star review!!! I gave it a 1 star but it's actually a 0!!! The website isn't much help either!!!😪😪😪😪
False advertising. I got this account only because of the 2 day early direct deposit. It's been a month and two weeks. And still no early direct deposit. And also way too many fees. No one to talk to for customer care service. I'm closing this account tomorrow.
