Good app. Strong points are upto the minute data and results for smaller towns. To make it quicker to start using it would be good if you could click on a pollution value and read about it, safe limits and health effects. It is also not clear when certain pollution types are not shown for a certain city if they are missing or just a low reading. i would rather still be able to see them to know what the AQI is based on. Excited to see how App will develop with data from the personal Flow devices

Just one simple comment. Why in the last version the quality index label seems to be switched? I'm getting low polution for fresh air and vice versa. Even the notifications are affected. I'm getting messages to go out when the polution index is higher (although labelled fresh air) than the polution index that is shown when the label is low polution.

I would like to thank Plume Labs for this wonderful program. I installed this program several days ago but I wasn't sure about its performance. As I was checking the weather in the program, I noticed a hazardous dusty weather is expected today in Baghdad, thus I took a vacation today to stay home. The performance of the prgram is excellent. All people in Baghdad are still suffering now from the dusty weather today. The Iraqi government decided to close all schools today.

I can't attest to the accuracy, based on what I see published elsewhere, it's not "wrong". But is it spot on for the reading at my house? Dunno. What I can say is that it is easy to use! I like the layout and the hour by hour readings. When I wake up short of breath I can see that at 4am the air was really bad because of the smoke and is much better at 8am. If there is anything I don't like is the area map. The color only shows on the roads. Do it as an overlay so we can see the coast!

This app was installed on two of my phones, using different accounts names. User settings are identical. Both phones are an inch apart. One is showing an aqi of 102. The other shows 65. In other instances readouts can be identical. Anyone using this app to plan outdoor activities is either getting good data or rubbish. Your phone probably doesn't know.

For what it is, the app tells you the best estimate of air quality in an environment. [2022 Edit] the unannounced non-availability of the Flow sensor app during February 2022 raises questions on the reliability of the key benefit of the sensor app - live access and mapping from sensors. Very disruptive - cut stars to two for this app but what is the point without support for the sensors? Don't buy the sensor until full service is returned. March and still no app!

The app is good. The UI is smooth and responsive. But I don't know where it pulls its data from. I have a hand-held Pollution meter and it rarely ever matches the value shown on this. I carried it around to different places in the city the meter always showed a lower value by about 50-100 units AQI.

It's a useful app, but I do question the accuracy of its live data. I'm in the middle of the California wildfires, and I've seen this app read much lower than Airnow, only to retroactively update its historical readings. Example: at 3pm I might see a live reading of 80 AQI. But then at 8pm, the app tells me the AQI was 120 at 3pm. And when this happens, it's always that the live reading is low! This is very frustrating and dangerous if the app is consistently on the low side. Developers??

Only App that gives an Air Index forecast. And, it's as reliable as most weather forecasts. I like the simplicity and ease of navigating across the various menu options. A quick scan of, yet not a deep dive into, the Privacy Policy looked acceptable. I'm gonna keep it. Check w/me in Fifteen minutes, hours, days et cetera. More is often revealed, in time... 8>)

Helps me know when to avoid going outside. I have some health issues which make me succeptible to low air quality. I really like the dashboard format. It's quick and easy to get the information I need. The one thing that would make this an all in one app for me would be thr inclusion of pollen counts.

The app is well designed and easy to use, however, I am seeing data discrepancies. I'm in northern California near the fires. I'm seeing real-time data showing high and very high readings, only to wake up the next morning and seeing the data corrected for the previous day back to moderate and low. What's the issue here?

Not accurate. How do I know? Large AQI spikes in Plume's own data history that weren't there in the live or forecasted AQI. This is has the best UI of all the ones I've looked at but if the data for my health is garbage... Also as of the new update I get forecast notifications all the time despite the notification settings being toggled off. No reply from the developers to my email. Please do better, I want to love this app.

This app is a fantastic free resource for learning about the local air quality and planning my day around it. The content is very useful and the ux design is fantastic. My only small piece of feedback is to make the tips by category in the daily forecast more specific - maybe it's evident to everyone else what they mean, but does "go for it later" mean "15 minutes is probably ok" or "you'd be risking immediate physical harm", for example?

Great app. Love the notifications. Nice UI. One draw back is the accuracy of the AQI. It doesn't tie up with airnow, not sure where the data is coming from. For a few days the app AQI has been a lot lower than airnow readings for where I am (Los Angeles) . Not sure I trust it.

This app is not accurate! I've repeatedly sent in requests to the company about this issue and it is still not fixed. All surrounding areas show the correct levels. My area is showing 250+ at times when an area 5 miles away is "fresh" air. Also, the county air quality app reads normal levels in my area when this app shows 250+.

This app is quite a scam. The whole thing is just an ad for flow. The map only works in about 100 cities, none of which I live in, and the GPS tracker only works for my house. It might just be me, but I can't even change the settings. Truly expected better. Will be uninstalling.

I tried this app, totally useless and irreliable. It ALWAYS shows current air pollution as low, and after a few hours the pollution level for the same hour is shown as high, TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. same with the website, when the current level is showing pollution as low, at the same time a little below the forecast graph is showing as high. Could someone please explain?

Data for current time seems concordant with other sources, but it will report recent past times as having really good air quality even when it clearly was bad quality when you checked it at that time. Overall, mostly worthless bc there is no point if you can't trust the data.

Zig. Oct 9, 2019

what was a fantastic app but through updates got worse, used to be able to check historical data up to 6 months back. Now i can barely understand the data provided as it has changed and you can only see a single moment within the previous week rather than the averages it used to provide.

Stale data today January 28, 2019 showing Newport Beach ca data from day before. App needs to show current data. Also, comparison with another app, Air Visual, shows different results causing me to be puzzled. Which to believe? How to reconcile? Possibly due to different data sources, different units of measurement, etc, different reporting times.
