Plume WiFi

Good but one complaint. I can't use my old Workpass pods with my homepass pods. And the only reason I get is firmware. Firmware can be flashed over. But even so, you should be able to use your workpass pods with homepass so as to not create E-Waste.

Works a described in my three floor home covering the dead zones that use to be a issue in a home built in the 20's. Accommodates our home office and smart devices easily, while still allowing guests to access the internet without any slow downs, buffering and freezing,

So easy to use to manage kids screen time and content. Highly recommend to all my parent friends who have kids with multiple devices. The ability to set the internet off at a certain time on school nights was a game changer in our home.

Great so far. Curd my hookup problems and faster connections. I'm happy. Only have had for a month. Will see how it lasts.

Downloaded the app... Everything was solid from the get-go. I'm on it professional and I scrutinize from that perspective. So far so good.

Easy Management for WiFi security. For someone that has done this manually in the past. This device and app combo make it simple. Makes monitoring a WiFi network easy for all. Thank you Plume.

I use this app to manage my kids using the internet on their various devices. I limit how much they can use them and will "freeze" the internet if I am not home and they have not done the things they were supposed to do (homework, chores, etc.). Its also the only way I can block my kids from watching YouTube. Great app!

Plume is an outstanding wifi and device manager for the Samsung Smartthings wifi network. When problems turn up and they always do. Plume adjusts devices for better coverage. Love it.

Useful app. Included speed test is a plus. Also being able to set different type network access passwords for home and guests was easy and convenient.

Great app and great service. I do wish there were more options available to the user. Options like disabling WiFi bands or even channels, Mac Address Filtering and the option to separate WiFi bands with different AP names. UpNp should be off and DoS protection on by default. They aren't. Some features offered by Technician Portal only, and some features can be seen but with no description or list available in Tech portal. Overall best features and service. With continuous growth and support!

The best wifi system I have ever seen. I have worked in internet support for 30 years and I have not seen an easier to setup and mange system...ever.

Time limit & filtering features need a major overhaul. Setting a 'Bedtime' limit is global and limited to one time period. You can't set a specific bedtime per person or device, despite giving you the option to do so at the person and device level. Approve/Block security events are person specific, despite being able to modify them at the device level. These limitations are not documented or explained well and took me a while to figure out. Fix the back end, fix the front end, or fix both.

No matter what reason I go into the app for, it's easy to find, clear and concise, and actually does what I wanted it to

Set up is so simple, Plug & Play. Performance is excellent. Control it all from the palm of your hand. I Highly recommend this product, especially for those homes that have dead zones, due to the natural barrier's that weaken your wireless signal. Walls, mirror, etc. The previous mesh network I had set up in my home worked, but in testing out this system, I'm definitely getting a lot more bank for my buck! 😀

Great Features! The app allows you to easily view devices and control access, grant and revoke permissions, test bandwidth, rename devices, and more. Visually, the app has some appealing options to view your network activity. I only wish the menus were a bit more concise and intuitive. 3 weeks on, and I still jump back and forth between menus, because not everything is quite where you'd think it would be instinctively.

Some good, some bad The app does a good job managing some features of the pods, but the interface can be a little confusing and some things that should be included are not. For example, if you want to see what time the pod thinks it is, forget it. You can't see or change the time or time zone. Our pod currently thinks that bedtime is during the day and I have no idea why. Setting a custom time for internet freeze is a painful process with sliders for each day.

After some initial catch-22 account creation issues, I've been very pleased with my Plume experience. Port forwarding is easy as pie, and I've come to realize just how amazing my little pods are. I moved to a new apt within the same building, and I had one pod upstairs and another downstairs. I had reliable internet in both apartments. I'm really impressed. You can use them to monitor your home with motion detection, though it still doesn't correctly detect when I'm home to shut off.

It was very good when it worked. It stopped working after the update. If there is a dispute with Samsung, then Samsung needs to come up with there own wifi manager! I'm using the Smart things wifi system but maybe I should've went with Google. Update: Seems like the issue was fixed. I think that this app is helpful and functional. It shows you exactly what's going on with your wifi. I'm happy that the issue was fixed.

Great service!! The plumes are super effective and fast. I just checked on my phone as to how many devices are connected and running off the plumes and right now its 15. All my devices are running smoothly all at once. No issues at all!! I love that I can control the plume service right from my phone. Very pleased. Worth every dollar I pay! Highly recommended.

Overall this app works well. I do notice some aesthetic differences between the Android and iOS versions. The iOS version allows the user to re-arrange the "planets" representing the pods in any configuration. They stay where you put them and the last configuration is remembered after you exit and return to the app. Tha Android version shows some kind of elasticity when moving the "planets" around, the resist the changes and the last configuration is not remembered, this is inconvenient.

It doesn't work properly after update to homepass from plume. Even I couldn't tap on device profile name to pause internet but I could do on particular device. So many problems .. update: I am able to tap on device profile now, I think it was problem with Android OS patch, it was fixed in latest release. Actually Pixel gets new OS patches very fast. Only seeing some issues in blocking websites. I had asked feature request to edit "Internet Freeze Schedule" . Currently there is no option to edit.

Love that this comes with the Samsung SmartThings Router! Love that I have complete control over WiFi including data usage and device connection stats. And easy Guest password setup without having to have multiple SSID's. And you get some adblocking and malware protection. I have nothing against online advertising, but let's face it, it's gotten ridiculously invasive and sneaky.

I've had a Plume mesh network for 3 years now and the app keeps getting better and better. Every time they update, it gets new features that I never thought possible. I especially like the automated bandwidth tests...it helps me keep an eye on my ISP to ensure I get the bandwidth I'm paying for.

Partnered with Samsung Smartthings Hub this is a great way to set up a mesh network. initially starting with one Samsung Smartthings hub, i found i was getting bad interference at the ends of my apartment. at 120m2 it isnt a huge space but with a number of apartments around me the noise is quite high. You can see the AI optimising the network over time and the visualisation makes it easy to diagnose connectivity issues.

IPv6 does not work at all. There is no way to promote someone from Internet Only or Guest to Home (full) access. You have to delete their password and recreate it. No way to enable DFS from the app, you have to email support, and even then it only works until you reboot the router. Only supports a single SSID. Very few configuration options. I can't even view the DHCP scope, much less change it.

The pods, once up and running, is easy and out of sight but working hard. I've had mine for a couple of years, and no issues, just easy WiFi access. Now I'm expanding to a smart house with LIFx lights, and no problem. These pods are amazing. Thanks, Plume, for making it nearly invisible. Steve K.

Wish would let me assign the offline listed devices to people. Only problem I would think should be already possible? Need a tab to list all the home items like all my alexas, wifi bulbs, & wifi outlets so they don't clutter with the regular stuff. Need option to toggle selected items to hide on/off

this is a super cool app which I've used to convert many friends to Plume.

It lets me know how good it's running let me know when it's down and if it's running low I can run a Check and who's on it
