Update after dev response: The "Save from Clipboard" option does not show up. No bar at the bottom of the app shows up when I've copied a link. Original review: Don't know when they removed the ability to save articles from copied links, let alone save anything at all, but that is ridiculous. Why would you remove such a basic feature? Doesn't look like I can use it within Chrome on my phone either. Guess I'm looking for a new app. Sorry. You dropped the ball.

The UX is kinda clunky. I would give 4 stars but I just haven't noticed any major improvements over time. Things seem to break faster than they're fixed. I get certificate errors on many more articles now, and I can't close them. Archived articles are marked as unviewed every time I leave the list. Articles load improperly - I don't mind reporting them, but I would like a convenient button to open in browser. I really have to press the share button and then find my browser as a share option?

Update: Issues fixed, thank you. Reverting back to 5 stars! The latest update (7.42.2.0) has moved to the native Android share menu which has broken the app for me. There is no share to browser and no ability to copy the article URL. These are fundamental issues for such a read-it-later app. I have downgraded to the previous version. I will update the score once/if these issues are sorted.

I hate that I still need internet connection to load the Favorite tab, since this app is intended for offline reading. If I mark a new article as "favorite," I need to reconnect for the app to refresh the list. Why don't you just allow me to do it while offline, then the app can sync the changes I made when I back online? It's not that hard, you know.

There really should be an option to just directly add an url to the library. Sometimes the app doesn't detect that I've copied a link, and that's the end of it pretty much, because it either takes closing and restarting the app loads of times, or just accepting that it's not working and using the ol' reliable bookmark.

pocket is quite different now than it designed to be. at first, it was just red it later app.10 years ago it was actual because of bad coverage, but now it is needed mostly as "digital cave" with carefully selected content by me.However, there are some drawbacks - now some irrelevant news and content want to penetrate my digital cave - recommendations tab and recommendations after reading (also they are useless if your language is not English). also now it's impossible to search articles offline

I like the convenience of saving articles to Pocket and reading them later in a great app interface. one issue that needs to be fixed is the ambient light sensor that spazzes out and keeps trying to switch between light and dark when I tilt my phone. I just switched to match system theme but that's definitely a big bug.

While listening to the article, I've selected Google txt to speech voice 14 and after a certain part of the article is read the voice changes to some wierd robotic ear hurting sound please fix these also if possible add Google’s Wavenet voices they are more natural sounding. Also the text/words that are read are not sync highlighted when spoken it'd be really nice if you could add this! Also I really need Amoled dark theme since it saves so much battery and good contrast makes it nicer to read!

Easily one of my favorite apps of all time. Only giving it two stars to send feedback - "retreiving tweet" function seriously hiders usability. Also, when developers change basic/main functionality, at least create a settings menu for users to be able to manage or revert the changes - particularly the "adding tags" - hating the 3 latest tags, previous one with all chronological tag list worked much better for me. Let users decide/manage/set their owwn preferences. Thank you!

Great in every way except for... 1) you can't turn off features you don't want, like the trending tab. 2) the reading voices pause far too long for commas. This needs fixing or a simple sliding scale.

I have user pocket for years, but now it won't let me log in. I get "403 ERROR The request could not be satisfied. Request blocked. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. " Can't use the app. Have tried uninstall and reinstall but getting the same problem.

A useful service, that falls to reach its full potential. A few simple additions (e.g., showing the timestamp of when a link was added, more ways to sort etc.) could really liven up this service.

It's a very useful app. Excellent management system and great audio tools. It will be perfect if it stops buffering and taking a while to load the article

Ideal app for bookmarking interesting topics and reading at leisure time. The suggestions for additional readings is very useful. For writing articles normally I collect information from various sources and save in Pocket. Later I transcribe them into an interesting article. Thanks to the developers.

Updated Review: I have returned to using Pocket and have resubbed back to Premium. While the issue with being unable to open YouTube videos into the YouTube android app instead of the built in viewer within Pocket has not changed, I have found a work around. After saving a YouTube video to Pocket, I can get the Video to open in the YouTube app by sharing it to Firefox Nightly. FF automatically opens the YouTube app when a browsing tab open to a YouTube url. Still hoping for proper fix.

Clean simple and user friendly app. Great for the students likee who likes to read a lot of articles. The UI is sinple and the dark mode is great. No irritating ads. Thanks keep going we need even much more polished like this. 👍

Absolutely the best ever. I downloaded six (6) years ago. Got a new phone and number. Heard about it again; downloaded; put my email in and wha-lah, ALL, my favs were still there. I would give 10 stars if I could. No issues, and beautiful UI, and simple to use. He'll, it even now will read my stuff to me now. My 74yr old Mom defers to Pocket, no less often then her own 50yr old Bible, for her saved content. Thanks Pocket, for making life easier. 👍

Great app. Reading experience is 100x better than the mobile web, pocket for desktop is polished, and it's a great way to save articles. The text-to-speech engines... aren't quite there yet, they've come a long way but I don't really use that feature because the voices still sound too awkward & monotone. PS. I left a bad review and then they fixed the thing i complained about. Ty

Pocket is undoubtedly an intelligently designed Application, user friendly, feature rich, with loads of visual enhancements. I love the fact that it chooses time-based articles for me to read, goes back to where I last read to, saves them for future reads and generates similarly oriented articles for further reading. It is practically crash-proof, vibrant, with robust download functionality, a modern stylistic interface, which puts it clearly ahead of its competitors. KUDOS to the developers

I have been using this app for a while and I'm addicted to it. It's the solution for who reads a lot of online articles. It deletes all the annoying clutters of adverts that one finds on webpages — especially the audio/visual ones which are the worst — and leaves you with just a plain and clear reading experience. Moreover, If you own a Kobo e-reader you can syncronize the articles you saved on the app and read them on it later. Simply great, 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Its a great app, very useful, works pretty fine,best alternative for book marking and saving pages in browser, saves the articles for offline reading in a mobile friendly way, read aloud feature is also very nice.

Bug report: Following a recent update, if I switch to web view to read a specific item that is not available in article view, all other stories switch to web view. This is despite the fact that I have selected the setting "Always fetch Article View."

It's an update of my review: I like the app as usual but before update it had another theme, which was really soothing for me, but I'm feeling disturbed with the new only dark or light theme 😫 it's not like I can use all the data I saved offline so it's taugh to use it anytime anywhere without network connection.

This is exactly what I'm looking for. The ability that can remove dirty annoying ads of articles in web browser is so unbelievable. The 'discover' tap is really useful because there are numerous reading matters so I don't have to use any other browser. what a convenience. Thank you so much

I've been using the app for years and there's only ever been minor bugs with some sites. They don't try very hard to steer you into going pro either. One of these days I might check out the paid features.

I had an issue with highlights no longer showing up in article view. The solution, at least in my case, was to log out of the app and then log back in (even if that means hundreds or thousands of articles stored locally being deleted and then re-downloaded).

I've tried several ways of saving web clips. Pocket saves more sites, many fail on paywalls or other obstacles even when I'm logged in. Pocket is fast and tagging is a useful bonus.

When you really have articles you want to read later, this is the best app to keep those articles. Easy to use with clean interface. And offline mode keep me portable.

I wish I can change the voice on the text to speech. I want British. At least give us option to use our system TTS. Also, before it lets me know if I had already bookmarked an article and just bump it to the too but it doesn't do that now. Other than that, this app is awesome! I use it daily. Helps me with lessen eye strain.
