Pocket MAL

When I first downloaded the app, it had a bug that didn't allow me to log in so I had to uninstall. Today I thought about giving it another try and downloaded again and it worked!! After using it for a while I can say, Pocket MAL seems to be the best MAL client available on play store right now. Not only does it have a user-friendly interface but it is also ad-free. Absolutely love it!

The app is great, easy to use/navigate, no ads, good looking UI, dark mode theme... However, i think the reviews are one of the most important elements of this service.. and they are omitted in this app, which is not great. It would be nice if we could see the reviews for the anime that the user is checking out.. also the lists need grid view, but that's not that much important. Overall, the app looks great!

Pocket MAL is the best My Anime List app you're going to get. It has English and Japanese names, easy to navigate and very nice looking. You can change how it looks in the settings to fit your style. I only have one compliant about this app though. You cannot add friends like you can on the MAL website. That's the only reason why it's not a 5 star. But overall a good app, and if you want a MAL app, this is the best you're going to get.

Decent, smooth and does what it should do smoothly. Lacks features that I would expect from it but good anyways. ~edit~ Recently I always get IP banned because the app tries to restore the session or relogin. I loved this app but it's happening so many times that my access to account is at danger. Deleting the app. Loved this app for simplicity and to the point interface but can't put up with this anymore.

I like the app, but it doesn't cache the stats of added animes and load the stats every time. for example I added some anime before airing but after the anime finish airing it will update the state to finished but if I close the app and disconnected my wifi and reopen the app the state will be Not Yet Aired.

Efficient, fast, and simple. I love this app. Hear me out, I think it would be nice to be able to also edit your comments on an anime in your list, just like in the web version. It will be great to have it because I use it to keep note of details and experience from an anime. Please put this feature if you may... Also, follow system theme please? For now, I am enjoying the ability to edit tags and all the other existing features.

Wonderful app. It really is a breeze to navigate through the client and the process of listing and searching couldn't be more fluent. My only hope for a future update is for some manga love as well, since they are not shown on your profile in the client, which is a bummer. It would also be nice if more features of the MAL website were added such as the priority editting feature on your lists. So there is definitely room for improvement! Overall, though, my experience has been great!

Probably the best Mal client out there, been using this before the official Mal app came out, and will continue to do so. Very clean UI, smooth sync with desktop, NO ADs, overall a great experience. Will highly recommend as a great accompany to the desktop site.

+ Easy to use; no hassle of adding anime to your list + It always keep me updated to the animes I'm following. + No ads - There are few anime especially ova, special, or movie that won't show on search - It logs out your account automatically when you're not using the app for a long time

It's good.... Nothing else to say tbh I'm kinda satisfied with it. I hope the search was better. I have to search the correct name for an anime. If I wanna search boku no hero academia, I have to search my hero academia. Nothing else everything else is fine ig. It does the job quite well. Wish it was open source though :(

How sad, i was ussing the app days ago and it was fast, comfortable, simple, an usefull, but suddenly it changed, i don't know why, and now it's very hard to use it, very uncomfortable, and the view looks like if i was using a computer or something, it's very slow, doesn't work properly, it was very better before, i hope you'll change it in the future, but now I don't want to use it anymore.

Much better than the official version. Zero lag, super fast and super lite (doesn't take a lot of space even after generating cache, unlike the official version).

Could improve by showing titles in English all the time, doesn't have to be only English they can put English and Japanese title of anime so that way the ability of the user to identify the anime is easier. This would be a nice implementation to the app to improve user interface, hopefully it is implemented in the future. Otherwise great app! 👍

Finally a MAL interface that does what I want. A simple, easy to use design and lets me see the titles I as displayed on the various streaming services I subscribe to. You're a hero. Update 9/1/21: Nine months in and still happy. One thing I do wish it had is licensors so I can see which service is streaming it. Always need to jump to MAL web to get that info.

Better than the offical MAL app to update what you're watching! I found it extremely easy to navigate and search for what I want. Manual and auto updates to the specific anime or manga are also available. It also shows us the sequels and side stories.

Overall nice app but needs to do the following if possible: Improvements: -UI improvements (I'd personally like a much more cleaner UI or at least the option to have a minimal UI would be nice it'd work even as a plug-in) -As many others have said is having the ability to see manga as well alongside anime on your profile -A better sort system like on the MAL website. Features: -An in-built manga reader/video player that plays from sites like Crunchyroll and updates your list as you watch/read

Very good app, but please add more features like friends feed. Editing the start date and end date is a bit buggy and i can't clear the entered date if i entered it by mistake. Other than that i will recommend this app to everyone, its so easy to use and keeps tab of your anime just like the MAL.

I like this minimalist design. Its not overcrowded by buttons and text, and works very well. Sometimes the app says it cant connect to the servers, but its rare, and it fixes itself in a few minutes

Very intuitive app, no needless clutter or ads filling up the screen. Very bare-bones and to the point, but that's all it needs to be. Best way to keep up with your binge-watching habits

Works flawlessly, way, way better than the experience of using the actual website! It's smooth and the UI doesn't glitch and jump around like the website, it's infinitely easier to use. I love this!

By far the interface for MAL that I like using the most, without contest. Feature wishlist in ranked order: include extra series info like the other names and episode length, the list bar graph and total watch time, studio pages and the like, and the characters and staff section.

A great way to keep a list of shows you love while also collecting the data on everything you've watched, the stats are always interesting to look at and the rating system awakens your inercritic! Brilliant app!

App is ok. But, I'm trying to edit my watching list and try to change it to completed it looks like it has gone to completed list(at that time). But after opening the app again, it shows the same anime in watching list.😓

Sometimes fails to connect, but that might just be my poor WiFi. Otherwise an excellent app with everything you need to keep your Mal up to date, all wrapped up in a pleasantly clean interface.
