Pocket Penguins
The Academy's penguins are part of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association's Species Survival Program, aimed at conserving this species in the wild. African penguins (Spheniscus demersus) live off the coast of South Africa and Namibia. In 2010, the International Union for Conservation of Nature classified the species as endangered, or at very high risk of extinction in the wild.

I installed the app one month ago, and it's not working since then. It gives network error and asked to see a pre-recorded video. I really love penguins, and I would enjoy seeing them. Please fix the network or drop the app. 😞😞🐧🐧🐧😞🐧
wide view and biologist view work okay. :) never knew this was a thing. now i can watch penguins remotely (live!!) during my free time or when i feel like it! (I do wonder why the underwater view has been phased out :< would've been even cuter. :> )
Great camera but poor environment. It looks really enclosed... Where is the enrichment? They just waddle back and forth all day waiting for fish. I feel like they could be much happier in a larger, more equipped area.
says network error i tried uninstalling the app and re installing it still didnt work only let me see a pre recorded via due to "network error" my wifi and mobile data work great so i dont know why the app isnt working ):
Wellllll!😆 Must be a great app IF you are in the right time zone but right now when it is 08:50 in England, the penguins are enjoying cattching zeds in California as it is nightime the cameras are blank and nothing is happening, of course! I dont think I will be waking up at 2am GMT to see penguins waddling about. Uninstalling 😂😂😂
I love this app! Being able watch penguins at any time is fun especially because I can't go to the zoo because of quarantine. Keep up the good work! 😊🐧
keeps saying "network error", only asks if you want to watch prerecorded stuff, can't watch anything live. disappointed.
Looks ok, camera views could be better, especially the underwater one.
I love it it's so good I buffets at times but it's just so fun to see the little guys

It was great, then the latest app update dropped and now it is an eternal loading screen.
They are SUPER cute but the app is always crashing and the cameras are always messing up.
This is so lovely to see these cute penguins, however is this the only place they have? They surely have an outside domain with natural light and real ground. Some outside pictures would be nice to see. Also are the penguins having names?
I get the same eternal loading spinner others do and have for months.
Personally, I believe that it is actually quite cool as it has 3 optional views and fully works. The sound doesn't work and I had difficulties finding out the species, but I would say that this is a functional app and I recommend it if your interested in watching Penguins.
