The concept is just fine, and some aspects of the app work just fine. However, this app is nothing short of a buggy mess. There are very annoying notifications that come up constantly, the rewards page is very buggy and you could end up being on a different reward out of nowhere, and the class leaderboards sometimes just completely break and will, more often than not, just not work at all. This app is good on paper, and it would have been good in execution if it wasn't for the app being broken.

I can't see myself when comparing with friends and my app crashes every time I click the invite friends button. I've had some confusion over my "distracted minutes" while driving. I think it counts as a distraction every time I open up the app to tell it I'm not driving. Other than that the app runs pretty solid and I think it's definitely worth trying.

it's a nice app with pretty good rewards. I gave it a 4 however because the app stays on while you're driving and you get penalized when you use your phone during driving. I'm a full time delivery driver so my phone is always in use during driving due to maps and directions. it's annoying I can't turn it off because it penalizes me constantly to where there is no point of me trying to get any points outside of campus

This app is a great concept. I know some teachers who love to push Pocket Points towards their students as an incentive for them to pay attention. Unfortunately, the app itself isn't great. The 'favorites' tab in the rewards area never shows any favorites. The UI isn't the best. And the rewards are subpar. Most of the rewards are free trials or the type of discount you can get from putting in an email. I hope that the team behind the app can get better deals. It has promise if so.

I'm uninstalling this because the fact that it claims to be rewards is kind of bogus. Most of the rewards cost next to no points and are only % off of an order at certain retailers. I want something that allows me to actually earn real rewards, not something that just tries to entice me to spend my money. I've also had an issue with the app crashing. The drive feature doesn't work half the time and when it does can't tell when I've stopped.

This app was fine and everything until the most recent update. It keeps crashing, it doesn't register my points. At one point I had my phone locked for 4 hours straight during a studio class and it didn't register ANY of the points. I know it didn't turn on because I turned my notifications off so it wouldn't unlock. Very disappointing.

While it is helpful for things like school, it seems to be missing a few features like an account reset, information editing, and unenrolling in previous classes. There is also an issue where actual pictures of me are loaded on its side rather than how it should actually look and it's irritating. Once these changes are made, an update to this review will be made, otherwise, this app has got some issues crashing and missing importants parts.

It's a nice concept but it doesn't pan out. There are VERY few reward options and the drive portion of the app does not work. You could drive for an hour without using your phone and it still would only log 3 miles (3 points). I've experienced bug after bug with this app. The points redeemed but not adding to your balance STILL doesn't work. With new update, I cannot earn points. With as many updates as this had, how do you still manage to make such a garbage app?

I like about 25% of the coupons. Those are the only ones I'm most tempted to use. But I would say I love 10% of them and have used them multiple times. The app crashes all the time and has completely stopped working on earning points, both functions. Very disappointing. in the last 5 years I've used it, it's highest poimt was 4 years ago.

I love the concept of this app. Like people have said, you get free food- what's not to love? However, it is very glitchy and gives constant notifications if you don't close out after using it. It sometimes fails to give points, or sometimes can't tell if you were off your phone at all. My friend's Apple version looks much different. Where's our update? Chick Fil A got taken off and it was the saddest thing of my life. But I still use and appreciate this app. I just think they need to improve some things.

It used to have way more deals and it would actually show deals close to you. We're talking 25% off university bookstores, great restaurants in the neighborhood, Doordash, and others. But despite being back in the cities for a few weeks now It won't recognize that I've left my hometown, so the only deals that show up are redbox (worthless) and like 5 other sites. My friends with ios says it works perfectly for them. Edit: so many issues with Android version cant fit it into 500 characters.

New Edit: I love it now that it works! It's a definite "must download" for ease of use, and awesome way to stay off your phone during class, and have double the benefits! Old Review: "I love the app, its just a little friustrating when it doesn't register I'm on campus, or when it lags for a while. Other than that its a great app and very useful to focus!

It's very easy to use! I was skeptical about this at first because I usually have trouble using coupons that aren't directly from stores/restaurants. But I had an abundance of points and tried out the uber eats coupon and it worked! I'm very satisfied and I highly recommend it to every college student. It's very helpful and I enjoy the variety of gifts.

Great and easy to use, it helps motivate me to stay off of my phone during class, and it has many places or items that I either would like to go to or spend some money on. If you just stay off of your phone with this app running, then the points start accumulating (gathering up), and you can gain a lot of points easily 😀

Edit: this bug is fixed, but I'm leaving it up just in case. 5/5 now The app works great, when it works. I've seen similar reviews talking about how some rewards are locked despite not having used the rewards for days or even weeks. For example, I have a reward that was available again on November 25th at 12:59am that still says it's not available until that time. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and logged in and out of the app multiple times but it hasn't been fixed yet. 3/5

This app used to work great, but since July of this year it hasn't been working properly at all. It crashes almost instantly every time I open it, even if I don't interact with the app. I'm lucky if it keeps running longer than 10 seconds. It has become completely unusable and I only give it 2 stars because of how much value I've gotten from it in the past. If the problems aren't fixed, there is no reason to ever download this app.

This app seems like a good and simple Idea, but the product was poorly executed. The issue here is with all of the bugs. (It notifys that I need to update but it won't let me, it won't let me sign up, the continue button is not functioning) there are many issues that need to be fixed. Otherwise the app looks poorly made. Please fix them.

EDIT: The bug has been fixed and I can now use the app. I will rate it meh, so far. It is simple to use and works okay, but the available deals have been uninteresting so I am not encouraged to continue to allow the app to mine my data. First ever download. Enter info and am prompted to download latest version which brings me to the play store. I HAVE THE LATEST VERSION. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted my phone. the app is unusuable.

I love the concept and way this app works. My one complaint is that it constantly crashes, so i often have to go into the app three or four times to get something done. This is especially problematic for the driving setting and when i go to choose rewards.

I only have this app because I need it for school. Every time i moved I would get a pop up on my screen that said "driving session running" whether the app was open or not. Every time I go to the app to turn this off, it tells me that drive mode is disabled for a brief second before the entire app crashes and I'm brought back to my home screen. I eventually blocked notifications from this app but I can still feel the pop up haunting me from inside the app when I walk with my phone.

They have updated the app so it shows all deals at all places, regardless of availability, and waits until you select to purchase a deal to tell you it's not available. Unbelievably frustrating and unethical app design. Can't give more than one star until there's some indication a deal is sold out BEFORE purchasing. EDIT: This issue is fixed, however I'm now locked out of purchasing coupons at one of my local restaurants. It says I have visited it today and coupons will reopen on October 29, 2018...the date is December 10, 2018. Still a useless app with how buggy it is.

Hi! So, I've been using Pocket Points for along time (I have over 5000 points right now) but the app has this crazy glitch where it won't let me unlock any of the gifts that I have used AT ALL in the past. It keeps telling me I've already been there today, and that I can unlock it on NOVEMBER 6th. Well, it's December 7th. I've been trying to contact their tech support and haven't gotten any responses 🤷🏻‍♀️ Super disappointed.

I used this app in my undergrad on Android and it was so-so. Okay deals sometimes and it's really easy to build up points. However, I just started a graduate program in a new town so I re-downloaded and there's no option to sign in to my existing account! I put in my email and it says, "Looks like you already have an account! Would you like to login?" AND THERE'S NO OPTION FOR YES! What a crock

The actual app is pretty good, but the rewards are really subpar. I like the earning points aspect of it, but it's really lame to have coupons for 10 or 15% off rather than having to use a lot more points potentially to earn a usable gift card. I would be much more likely to actually use the app if the rewards were more tangible rather than having to spend money to use them.
