This app is great for convenience purposes. I like the randomized section since I enjoy surprises and random challenges. The app has a timer like it does on the website, which is convenient. However, I do prefer the website and will use that more often than this since there are more functions. It would be great to see functions like daily challenge, programs, and awards and badges added to the app. I continue to appreciate the free access!
I used to find Darebee workouts on Pinterest, but since that app has turned for the worst, I thought I'd look to see if Darebee has an app. And this is it!! The only downsides: it lacks quite the variety that Pinterest gave me the impression of. Also, I'd recommend better filtering into leg/arm/abs/cardio etc, not to mention levels of difficulty. A bunch of the sets on the app are super intense, and for people trying to lose weight, like I have been, it needs easier stuff too. No ads though!
This app is great if you're starting a new workout regimen and you aren't sure what part of your body to focus on. The randomizer helped me try out different exercises each day and eventually I could tell what needed more work and what didn't. Their website is also a great resource for when you've gotten the hang of your fitness level! (they also have training programs, recipes, and meal plans!)
Fast loading to open the app, good quality of illustration, pdf format made easier to zoom in, instructions is easy to understand.Think it might be better if user can save data after done exercise, so users can checked achievement & increase the level of exercise easier. A reminder to do routine might be good to built in the app, but not a neccessity. If its too frequent @ not a flexible reminder, user might consider its a bug, got annoyed.
Absolutely love this app and the people behind the workouts. The only thing that could be improved upon is the built in timer. There isn't enough different time options for each individual workout (ex. One workout consists of 20 and 40 second times, but the timer only has 30 and 60 second timers).
The app is quick objective and easy. The routines are there and you just have to pick one. Although I believe there are Opportunities to improve it. Have filters would help a lot, like man/woman, uper body, full doby, abs... It feels that they have just dumped all exercises into the basket and that's it... An interesting improvement would be adding se estimated kalories consumption for each routine
I love the pocket workouts app by Darebee! Everything Darebee produces is fantastic. Darebee by far is the best company i've seen to provide fitness, diet and training tips of any workout program i've ever used. I love their mission to make fitness accessible for everyone and very easy to use. the app is very user friendly. it has an extensive list of workouts. the workout s themselves are straight forward and easy to follow. I love that is can be used offline and can be done anywhere.
This is a simple uncomplicated app that just let's me do workouts without a ton of unneeded bells and whistles that distract or confuse me or pressure me. I LOVE IT! Edit: The work outs are themed to go along with shows your watching, books you're reading, etcetera to help motivate you. Have fun!
Used this app a lot in the past, however, now I have a new smartphone and the app does not work correctly. Initial screen... Ok... List of workouts... OK... Open up a program and I can see only the upper left of the program. I can zoom in, but can't zoom out to fit the page to the screen.
I absolutely love these workouts. With the various time/set recommendations, each workout can be as easy or challenging as you need. The themes are fun and inspiring. My one complaint is that the Favorite section will empty itself, leaving you to search again for the specific workout you need.
Super convenient access to nearly all Darebee workouts that are on the website. Broken down into categories that are intuitive and makes it easy to decide what you want to workout to that day. Built-in timer and set setting makes it incredibly easy to get a no equipment workout in quickly. Lovely app.
This is a super super great app that lets you save time and quickly pick a workout which is designed by specialists. Also there's a great advantage, that you are able to focus on a training type which will increase particular physical capability of your body. Thanks a lot to the darebee team.
It is a great app for something completely free! There is missing my favorite kickboxing and women warrior/badass/superhero series but it's fine because I can get those on the website still ☺️ adding a premium membership with access how to tutorials, a search engine and all the workouts would be a interesting way of building the funds for this non profit!
I've been a fan since several years. I think the app is ok but the web page is much better. It would be great if you could add to the app the timer, the checkbox, the meal plans and update it with the exercises that are shown in the site and not in the app. Thanks.
Best and good teaching app. Nice and great for all level of people. Easily understandable by visual posters. Home based workout methodology. I appreciate the initiation what the developer and designer did. Each workouts are timer based and feels like a instructor with us. Excellent job and solute to the team.
Saved several workouts as favorites. The next day, those favorites were gone. No search function makes it hard to find them again. The app is missing much of the information and features of the website.
It's great to have this many workouts at hand! The only thing is that there are many workouts missing if you compare to the ones available on the website. Also, you could include a filter, to make it easier to find a workout that adjusts to your needs.
This app is really excellent for those folks who are at a loss for what to do for effective exercise that won't totally exhaust you in one sitting. I download this app to every new phone I get because I love to workout and it keeps me stimulated and reminds me about exercises I might totally forget about that can help me reach my fitness goals more quickly and just make me feel that I have simple enough gotten a satisfying workout. Thanks to whoever made it!👍
I'm glad that the app is on after following them on their site. Exercises are quite well thought and cured to suit individuals with different levels of strength. Suggestions to improve is to include: * Search option * Filtering with gender, body group, purpose etc * Tile view (not only list) * Link to video exercises on their YouTube channel * Dynamic timer to suit the given exercise. Keep up the good work guys 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Ok i like the web way better than this . In my personal opinion it preety bland and doesn't make me want to exercise but the web does. And also for the web , I think you should actually have a workouts you are doing because people have to look for their workout every single day but other then that it a great app . Keep up the good work.
useful, except that every few weeks it looses and resets all the favourites. I don't like re-looking for the workouts, defeats the purpose entirely. not sure if I'm missing something.
Darebee workouts are amazing, very useful for anybody, especially busy folk and those with little money for equipment/memberships - I've used the website for years, but had no idea there was an app. I just got it, and have zero complaints. It's a very straightforward, no bs app. Now that I have it, nothing will stop me.
Great tool to use for everyday workouts. Simple, ready to understand. I don't use the built in timer, I have another timer I use instead, but it is a good feature. There's a favorites list that's nice so you don't have to scroll through the world to get to your just frequently used sets.
The only things I would add would be a way to search a workout and filtering further than the type of workout. Otherwise it is really nice to be able to have an easy app to pull up a workout.
I love this app and the people behind it. So generous with their time and effort and much creativity behind their work. The variety and amount of exercises is incredibly large and the illustrations are lifelike and professionally done. I have purchased 3 of their books on Amazon and they are totally worth it. The exercises cover not only every body part and muscle group, but can also be activity specific. For example, I have Darebee's book "Fighter's Codex," which is great if you're into boxing, martial arts or just want to stay in fighting shape for self-defense purposes. This app - like ALL of Darebee's publications - is excellent and I highly recommend it. It has always been great to take one of their books in my messenger bag, backpack or even my suitcase when I traveled. Now I'll have the convenience of this app, too! I can't wait for the IOS version so it 's on all my mobile devices. Buy their books or donate to Darebee. They've earned your support.
I discovered DAREBEE a decade ago while looking for 5 min abs/back workouts and it was too hard at the time but super fun to do. I'm excited and very happy they made the app - found out I can now do level 1 without running out of stamina so what a wonderful time to have a free app without ads and hundreds of workouts to experiment with! As I recall, the web version also ranked them by star difficulty though you'll definitely learn which is which very soon 😀
