Podcast App

Awful. This has been my preferred podcast app for 5+ years. I would have previously rated at 5 stars. The recent update is terrible causing intolerable delays in loading and constantly glitching. Please advise how to revert to the previous version before the most recent update. It literally ruined the app so I'll have to find another if I can't use the old version. Update: yes it persists. Looks like I'm moving to Google podcasts. Thanks for ruining this perfectly good product.

I am rating as a 2 now, was a 4 before. Whatever recent update you pushed out has changed my favorite from list format to icons making it difficult for me to see the names of the podcasts. I prefer the list view and there is no option to choose that view. Also, the app just randomly shuts off all the time. This just started happening.

It used to work most of the time but since the recent update, now it almost never works. It downloads the podcast but doesnt play them. I was about to buy the premium version but i guess this app is no good anymore. They need to find better software engineers. Does anyone know a better podcast app that actually works?

Really like this app... however I am not liking the new episode notification. I have many favorite podcasts and the notification is constantly going off. Would be great if I could turn notifications off. I will have to switch to a new podcast app.

Like many other recent reviewers have noted, the latest updates of this app make it unbearable: slow, "new episodes" flag feature not working, freezes, etc. There are also lots of ads. I have used this app for the past few years and it has been great, but due to the recent changes i will have to find a new one unfortunately.

This app worked great until I did the last update. Now my podcasts won't play, the screen goes blank, it tells me Oops, something went wrong. Ever heard the saying "If it ain't broke, then don't fix it!" ? Well guess what? It was working just fine, so LEAVE IT ALONE! Undo what you did so it works like it's supposed to!!! >=/

Same as others - using for years & recent update has made the app miserable to use. It is *painfully* slow. Yes, it's been uodated; I've closed, opened, restarted & everything else I can think of. So disappointed that I'll be looking for a new podcast app after so many years.

Content is great. Latest update has made that content illegible. They went from a simple, basic, easy-to-read List TO a grid of ridiculously small, un-readable, tiny icons. AWFUL. Why ruin a perfectly good App with an UNNECESSARY and unhelpful Update???

Dont like it now before it was so accessible everything listed now it's silly picture headings with numbers hardly use it it's also so slow Spotify is much quicker. I used to use it a lot.

This App no longer works after your last update. It worked great before then. Now it is useless. I have updated to the newest version. It is still absolutely awful so please stop telling everyone who is complaining about the same problem to update to the latest version. We already have! It takes forever for anything to load. It was perfect before these last two updates. Now it takes so much time to load anything it is better just to use another App so you don't have to waste so much time.

I am very busy. This makes it difficult for me to read Paper Books/Things. And I really love Reading. I think it is gonno really help me in listening to books and other things that will enhance my Speaking Skill and Knowledge. Nice App. Go get it!

I've used this app for years, and I've always loved it! They have a pretty decent selection to pick from, and I love just downloading a few episodes and letting them play as I sleep, work, clean, run errands etc. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I love this app. It's free, the adverts don't actually interrupt your podcast either so not waiting 👌 i got into podcasts during the first lockdown and it became a great comfort to me and I have to say I'm extremely grateful that it's free and has so many awesome topics.

This was a pretty good app when I first downloaded it. It went through an update and is now almost unusable. There is a 5-7 second touch delay on the screen any time you open the screen. Incredibly infuriating!

With the new updates it is so slow it is nearly inoperable. It takes about 4 seconds for every keystroke or next command to register. The continual ads when using the app also make for a frustrating experience.

I've used this app for a few years. It always worked well until last night. Now it is a mess. I would rate it a 1/4 star but that's not an option. Often, after tapping the app, it doesnt show podcasts just blue with small microphone in center. If it does open then often won't play the podcast selected. If it starts playing the podcast the replay, forward, and pause buttons don't work. After playing I can't leave the site or it will switch to a black screen or to Google. What is going on??

Overall unimpressed. My podcasts dissappear suddenly when I stop and start. This requires me to re download and find my place again. With the upgrade of my phone (android) I lost the ability to pause and start again from the lock screen. I have adjusted to the ad pop ups because hey it's a free app! But the other day it actually stopped my podcast to play stupid slot machine music and wouldn't let me close the add for 10 seconds. I will be searching for a new app to use.

Recent Changes to use widgets instead of a list is NOT user-friendly. Arbitrarily forcing widgets on us, when a list is much easier to view/use is just dumb. Can't find out how to change back Looking for another podcast app immediately.

I've used this app for several years. I even purchased the ad free version. I has worked very well until your latest update. Now it's terribly slow. It takes forever to load and before it was almost instantaneous. If it doesn't get repaired I will have to find a different app for podcast. Please help!

This new update is terrible. It never updates the little tiles of the shows to show if there's a new episode. You have to click on each one to see if something came out. And it lags really badly now.

Perfect, clear, enlightening, clarity and easily understandable for practitioners or not! I have been able to use it to share the practice in an enjoyable and comfortable way! Keep it up!

Was good before but now since update has been awful. Has about a 5 second lag on play and pause inputs. Randomly closes the app in the middle of listening. Takes longer to do anything because of delay

Unbearably slow! Takes 5 minutes just to load my list of podcasts. Forget searching. And with these ad pops ups, it's unusable.
