Podcast Player for This American Life
This American Life (TAL) is an American weekly hour-long radio program produced in collaboration with Chicago Public Media and hosted by Ira Glass. It is broadcast on numerous public radio stations in the United States and internationally, and is also available as a free weekly podcast.
Each week's show has a theme, explored in several "acts." On occasion, an entire program will consist of a single act. Each act is produced by a combination of staff and freelance contributors. Programs usually begin with a short station identification by Glass who then introduces a segment related to the theme which precedes act one. The segment will then lead into the presentation of the theme for that week's show.
Content varies widely by episode. Stories are often told as first-person narratives. The mood of the show ranges from gloomy to ironic, from thought-provoking to humorous.

Great that it works. Shame you can't tick as listened to without opening. Shame that it doesn't play the next one after finishing the previous. Unfortunately since I paid as I was so happy, it has started to stop playing for no reason. π Reduced to 3 stars from 4. If it continues I will reduce again.
Great and more reliable. I'd had such issues with the other TAL app so am pleased with this one. Love the random select feature. Very happy thanks.

Flawless . Intuitive.
Tons of little problems I hope the devs will fix: Wont auto stop other apps playing back any kind of audio, all my other apps do that I always assumed thats system feature. Doesnt auto delete episodes when finished. Downloaded episodes are not always in corect order. Playback speed unadjustable. Has no pause button on the android lock screen. But its good to be able to access the old archive episodes and take them with me on the go for that I am greatful even if the user experience is poor.
