Ever since the recent major update, deleting multiple podcasts is completely unreliable. I usually have to go back and re-select and try again several times in order to get rid of everything I'm trying to delete, which is very frustrating when there are many of them. Otherwise I love the app, I've been using it for many years and have never felt the need to switch. It does everything I need, and does it reliably. Just please fix the deleting issue!

This app has been "updated" into rubbish. Refresh notification now hangs and can't be removed, podcasts require multiple attempts to delete and although I delete apps they still "use" storage space. A real shame. Edit: Went through weeks of back and forth with Devs. The issues still remain, and are bugs with the app. Also the UI in landscape mode is terrible , being able to only see one podcast at a time when scrolling through. Wish I could go back to the old podkicker. 😢

UPDATE: With the recent update a few things are weird again. 1. The "Podkicker refreshing" notification gets stuck on android and I can't remove it. 2. There's a gap in the downloads section for the play controls, regardless of whether they're popped open. 3. Regularly podcasts don't show their preview image. (4. Personally I think the taller spaces per podcast is unnecessary and a bit bloated in the design, would rather them thin again.)

Currently, this app continues to load data, even after the download has completed. It sucked the entirety of my January data after I didn't otice that this was what was happening. I was downloading on data again just now and it attempted to do the same thing again. I had to force stop the app to keep it from using all of my data again. My wife noticed the same thing. I'm on METROPCS and she's on Google-Fi. Could have been very expensive for us. Been going on for weeks. When will you fix it?

This had been my favorite podcast app for years but I moved on to Podcast Addict because they've added the podcasting 2.0 features I've been waiting for. I've asked many times if Podkicker pro would incorporate these new features and I've never received a single response here or email. It's fine if there were no plans to add podcasting 2.0 features, but at least respond to my questions about it. Anyway, I've moved on. Anyone looking for podcasting 2.0 should check out podcast Addict.

I've been using this app for so long I can't remember, probably since around 2010. I actually think It's the first app I ever paid for. Even when it looked like it was abandoned I still used it. It does one thing and it does it well. Plays podcasts. No bells and whistles, no BS, no "special features", just_plays_podcasts. Devs, please don't change it.

This has been my favorite podcast app for years but lately it will just start playing paused podcasts on its own. Sometimes I'm not even touching my phone and it just randomly starts playing. It happened in the middle of a work meeting. Yikes! I'm currently looking for an alternative app.

I've been using this app for years, and like it fine, but the latest code update is really annoying when it comes to deleting episodes. Now, when I select multiple episodes, it to refuses to delete more than one or two of them. This was never an issue before. Please fix this!

This newest version with the Giant Huge items in the playlist makes me think the developers had a super high resolution phone and didn't actually test it on other devices. It's pretty unusable now on the device I have. Time to go to apk mirror and downgrade. I'd rather see ads or go elsewhere then deal with only 3 on the screen at once in the list view. It makes organizing things absolutely impossible and useless

It's been pretty good for several years now, I do like that searching is easier now. However, now it keeps crashing while playing... Update: I changed my settings and so far, so good. After the most recent update, I read about the new features, but was left confused. The "new subscription model" called Podkicker Play is not explained anywhere. The website is blank and the Facebook page hasn't been updated in 5 years. Also, I don't understand locking episodes. Again, not explained.

I used Podkicker for a number of years and for the majority of the time it worked relatively well. A few months ago, the app suddenly decided that it would not continue to play if the screen was turned off or.if the app lost focus. Since I use the app only to play podcasts while driving, this is unacceptable and even dangerous. For this reason, I have moved on to another app that does what I need and is also much easier to use. (And yes, I have checked all the settings dozens of times.)

I've used the app for many years and it's been great, but a recent update seems to have removed the ability to manually reorder episodes in the download list. You can change the sorting to a few different criteria, but if you try to manually rearrange things they now snap back to where the sort puts them. I don't know why they would change this, but the app is now unusable for my purposes and I'll be replacing it with something different. Extremely disappointing.

Been using this app for years but for a while now, it's had this bug where it gets to the end of a podcast, says it's at 100%, and then it turns out there's still a lot more podcast to go, so it keeps going. Sometimes my podcasts finish around 102%, sometimes around 108%. Really messes with FF / rewind as well. Also, I bought the paid version but every new phone I install it on gets ads.

Update: The issues have been fixed! Sweet!! Thank you for responding so quickly (within a day) to my comments!!! I can enjoy the app fully again! Original post: I've been using this app for many years- even bought Pro. But for a long time, there have been issues that haven't been fixed, esp not being able to reorder downloaded episodes.

Great app, I've been using it for years and it does almost everything I could want. Well worth whatever I paid for ot back in the day One thing I'd like to see would be integration with Google Maps/Android Auto. There doesn't seem to be any way of using your voice to control it, means you have to line up your playlist before you set off. IDK how feasible this is though. Another would be automatically retrying downloads if they fail due to a network switch.

Latest update stops me being able to manually reorder my podcasts. Please fix this asap, as it's a massive inconvenience when a new episode of my favourite podcast comes out and I can't move it to the front of the queue without moving everything else around. Edit: above issue has been fixed, so now it's 5 stars from me. Absolutely love the app it does everything I want it to.

Great app & great staff. I'd been using & loving this app for years when I very recently encountered an issue where I was unable to manually sort/reorder my downloaded podcasts. I left a review and, within days, a member of staff had responded to tell me that their latest update addresses this issue and that I could manually reorder them again by tapping on the icon with three-lines (in the top-right of the downloads screen) and selecting 'manual'. Very helpful, responsive & greatly appreciated!

I use this app above other podcast apps, but it's missing one critical feature: Selecting multiple podcasts to download in the Episodes tab. Tapping each episode and then tapping download on each is antiquated. Long-pressing in the Downloads tab allows multiple files for deletion selection, so I'm not sure why we can't select a bunch of podcast episode downloads. A warning, prior to batch download, when an app user is using solely mobile data, would also be useful. Keep up the good work!

This is my most used app. The interface is nice and simple with no extraneous garbage, and it does everything I need it to. I've noticed that as if today, i can no longer change the order of my playlist. I wish there were another way to send feedback. I'm sure this will be corrected soon. Edit: Wow, they fixed my one small complaint already. This is a quality app, folks.

I've been using the app for many years and even purchased the pro version. However recently I noticed i'm served up advertising when searching for new podcasts. The ads are not related to what I'm searching for and are for podcasts I already subscribe. It's generally a very good app, but not recomended if you want an ad free experience. Especially if you paid for the pro version. Helped me decided to just move to spotify. P.s. sent the screenshot with ads but no response, hope it gets fixed.

Have been using Podkicker Pro for a while now and it's great. The app has recently stopped auto downloading new episodes when charging which is a shame. Also the notification when playing sometimes gets stuck after listening to an epidode and the app is paused, it can't be swiped off until the app is opened again. 5 stars when this is fixed. Keep up the good work

I've been using this podcast player for... probably 10 years now, which really says it all. It's *highly* configurable, you can control where downloads are stored, and how many are saved at a time, which podcasts auto download, etc. So it's great for devices with limited space or that rely on big sd cards. It of course has visual themes like "night mode". It also plays nicely with headphone controls, and you can set the distance for skip forward/skip back. An all around great podcast player.

An excellent option for those who do not wish to use the commonly used podcast platforms. The app is lightweight, very stable, and has access to nearly every podcast you could access through apple, google, spotify, etc. And it also supports opml transfers so that you can keep your list of subscribed podcasts when you need to uninstall the app for whatever reason. No bells and whistles here, just good reliable function.

latest update broke the app, crashes frequently and resets to last save, which tends to be lengthy. I have to pull out my phone, open the app, and find my place each time. usually, if my podkicker is closed, I can just hit play from my buds, it crashes so hard that feature doesn't even work. love the app, I'm sure it will get fixed soon.

Used podkicker pro for several years. It was simple clean interface and now the last large update added a playlist. This meant you had to go to your downloads and add them to playlist I'm order to play them. So now you have to touch everything 2-3 times. If you delete from playlist you have to go back and delete from downloads. I switched to spotify which is easier to manage at this point. Bummer
