Podyssey Podcasts

Great podcast app. They have community recommendations so you can see what podcasts/episodes others have recommended and why. If you're switching from another app, you can just import your podcasts to Podyssey and don't have to manually search and follow them again. I wish it had a night mode though and the overall appearance could be improved a little. If you're searching podcast with search words, it only gives you like 10 podcasts per click so I wish it would just give the whole list.

For one, the search results are bafflingly unorganized and results cannot be sorted or filtered according to any metrics. Popular podcasters cannot be found when entering the exact title of their podcast or have been buried pages deep in the search results. I only downloaded their app because the website spams visitors with a visually impairing pop-up that demands personal information every 30 seconds. I timed it!

I expected some kind of recommendation algorithm like "other users listening to the podcasts you've subscribed to also like..." which should be fairly easy to do, given that everyone imports their podcast subscriptions. Instead there are a few "curators" recommending the most generic podcasts everyone already knows. Also only half of my podcasts where imported. App itself looks unfinished. Might try again in the future (there's no option to delete your account anyway).

Really great podcast-sharing and listening community! I've always valued human recommendation over algorithms and this goes to show how superior it is. I've found so many great shows already through like-minded people and I'm excited to see the community build further. Plus, being able to make lists of podcasts instead of just episodes is a fantastic feature!

Amazing app for podcast fans, find new favourite and show love to your existing favourites by recommending to others. Check out some of the playlist to listen to episodes of shows you might not have otherwise. The people behind it are great and you can so easily see the passion they have for podcasts.

Podyssey is an excellent app for keeping track of all the podcasts you love, want to try, heard were good, heard you had to just listen to this one amazing episode of... They're awesome. They've also worked really hard on building a sense of community here. I love it and can't wait to be along for the ride as it gets even better. :)

Without much features. Its pretty ok. Theres a community/ social media aspect to it. Where you can reccomand an episode. Its great. However I would like to see a way to look up other podcast other then just by names. Other then that it's acceptable.

I would love to be able to mark podcasts as "related" to each other. Episodes remind me of other episodes, and it's not enough for a playlist, but it would be really cool to see related episodes on individual episode pages

This app has a lot of heart. There are features you won't find anywhere else. Try it out!

Keeping it downloaded but don't see myself using it until a dark mode is implemented. Seems like a great app otherwise but I only listen to podcasts at night and this is blinding.

It's good, but its essential to have ability to speed up the sound for a podcast app.

This could be a really fun little community once enough people start using it. i've already found some new podcasts i like. I just wish more people were using it.

Pretty nice layout, but does not have most of the podcasts I listen to.

Doesn't have the basic popular podcasts like Alan Carr Life's a Beach. Also shows an iOS UI in an android app 🤔

The Signup with email doesn't work. Hence can't use the app.

I wish there was an option to sync Google Podcasts

"Deradicalize KKK Husband" "Combat Anti-Vaxxer" 'Trump Flag...Hate Symbol' Recommended episodes are all always like this... Platform seemingly used to spread fear intentional or not idk. Tweak your algorithms plz. You FUlly control what is promoted. Fiction, science, literature, history, religion never trend afaik on this app. Had very high hopes but the community feels intent to evangelize progressive political and sometimes socialist viewpoints.

The cure for podcast FOMO.
