Any type of poem is fine to post on Poet's Corner, but if you need some inspiration or help some good beginning poem types are -
Free Form
- Just write whatever you are feeling, there's no right way to write a free form poem
Haiku
- The 5-7-5 poem. These poems use syllable counts for their structure. The first line consists of 5 syllables worth of words. The second line has 7 syllables and the last line has 5 syllables. For Example:
Poems can be funIf you write them with your heartSo write some poems
Rhyming Couplet
- This poem type has each line rhyme with the next line. For example:
Summer has come and with it the beesBuzzing about in the shade of the trees
Odes
- Praise something! Raise your glass! Fill your tankard! Put on your tri-cornered cap and harken back to the time of heroes.
Love Poems
- Get in touch with your romantic or tragic side. Try to express how you feel in words.
There are many more poetry types but there really are no rules to how to write a poem. Write what you feel!

its a place i go to upload my work, whether its poems or songs. i enjog using PC because its like using it go premier your work. sure im trying to get equipment to make music, but with this you can see how many people will like your work. its really easy to use. ive been on PC for many years and its also good to have in case you lose your paper copy.
I love this app but,,,, I've used this app for years. Recently I've got a new iPhone and it doesn't get supported on that type of phone so I dug up one of my old Android so I can continue using it because I literally love this app. However, it won't let me do anything! New poems I can't comment until I sign in but when I click sign in it has a loading symbol and the screen gets a little dark I'm going to go right back to the button that says sign in with your Gmail. Pls help I just wanna write.
I love this app. I wish it had a way of seeing everyone who follows you, and I have no idea to access the computer version that everyone talks about. I go to the site and it only lists my poems, not even comments or other users posts. Other than that, it's a great app filled with a really supportive community.
Completely broken. Force closes every time I touch the app after login. I have Emailed the dev before on the topic of relocating an old account to NO avail. So im just gonna chalk it up. This is rediculous. And You needed moderators, Not a 4$ subscription fee.
I use to use this app religiously but for a while I wasn't able to access the playstore or anything so I couldn't log on. Now that I can I'm unable to log in. It won't give you the option to reset your password if you've forgotten it. Very frustrated cause I really would like to have my poems. Please let me know what to do. Thank you.
I used this app religiously but after the update, I have been disappointed. one of my poems is gone and I don't have it saved anywhere. I also miss how we could save our favorite poems. I have sadly fallen out of love with this app.
Non subscribers can only view posts; you must pay in order to post even one. Appears that this was not always the case; original members are free. Most likely, most posts are from original rather than subscribing members.
great app, love it, used it for years... but as of recently all i ever get is a blank white screen .. assuming its because of the update, and its getting worked out i hope. *** edit** i see the issue is solved, and still recommend this app for those reading these reviews 👍
I remember when this app was going places. You didn't need a subscription to post poetry, it was a place where you could post anything and everything for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for ruining it with your greed, jerks!
I love this app, but ever since the developer dropped it, it hasnt been the same. I miss some of the features that he implemented. For some reason he took alot of it away. Still love this app though. Hope the dev gets back.
has anybody else had trouble getting in contact with support? i wrote an email to them back in late November amd never received a response. i attempted again today so we shall see. how hard is it to have a password reset option instead of emailing support?
this app lost my account when they switched to google login. I emailed them multiple times and they never got back to me to help me recover it. i lost all the poems i posted and the feedback I received. major bummer.
A "like/love" feature for the comments on poems would absolutely complete the app. It was also encourage commenting and use of the app. This app is gold for poets with or without that feature though.

Had this app awhile back then deleted it with all my poems in it. After downloading again, all my poems were gone so i tried emailing support and no response. I hope i get them back.
extremely disappointed in this app!!! it use to be free to submit your own poetry now you have to pay a subscription fee total BS!!!!

Hello. So I loveeeee this app. It’s the best one by far that I’ve found with a writing community! However I have one little problem,.. I’m now using an iPhone and there is no Poets Corner! I can’t even use the desktop version as it’s not supported by iPhone. Please, please, please try and create an app for all us apple people now, we have been waiting for so long now. 😩

It won't let me pull up my old username plus it was free now you have to pay money to express yourself through poetry. Never heard of a poetry app that makes you pay to post poetry

Can't recover passwords then was banned, have no idea why & can't ask, cuz I can't get in. I guess all my work is now theres apparently.
It is a bit fustrating. For an app thats supposed to be free, it required that I pay a subscription to write poetry. Not really worth the money since other apps give you that option for free. As for reading the poetry, the layout was really boring and dull. The persons pen name was at the top and the poetry was in a simple layout. The poems themselves weren't bad and found that some poets were quite talented. Yet over all, I'm deeply disappointed. I truly expected more.
