We have been using Pointman Pro in our locating business for just over 12 months. The interface is intuitive and the app is very easy to use. It produces very professional reports which we can send straight to our clients, saving time when compared to our old system of sketching, scanning and emailing. When used with Emlid RS+ we can get centimetre accuracy for our locates at a very affordable cost. Pointman Pro is a valuable tool in our business and we will continue to use it.
Fantastic app . Coupled with the Rd 8100, Emlid Reach RS+ GPS ( and the FDOT FPRN NETWORK) on a 2019 SAMSUNG 10.1" tab A and a Verizon hotspot I am getting 7 millimeter horizontal and 1.2 centimeter vertical accuracy. This setup allows you to collect and create 3 dimensional representations of utilities or infrastructure cheaply,easily, efficiently. Once the data is collected it can be easily shared instantly via email. kml,kmz,shape files photos ect.
Using my Radiodetection locator and Pointman allows me to map quickly with great precision. I like how I have so many export options... shapefiles with a projection, google earth, and .csv.
The ability to connect any high precision locate device over bluetooth is incredible. I can toggle between base maps and overlaid maps services too. Awesome app!
JUST RECEIVED THE RS2 SATURDAY. (9-12-2020) SUPER FAST FIXES. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I AM USING POINTMAN SOFTWARE WITH THE RS2 (WHICH REQUIRES THE REACH APP TO SET UP AND OPERATE) TO DESIGN UTILITY LAYOUTS, COLLECT UTILITY LOCATION DATA AND TO STAKE OUT UTILITIES AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN COLLECTED. THE NEW RS2 WILL MAKE THIS PROCESS A LOT FASTER AND MORE EFFICIENT. I WAS USING THE RS+ BUT THIS IS GOING TO BE A LOT BETTER NOT HAVING TO WAIT AS LONG FOR A FIX THAT WILL ALLOW SUB CENTIMETER GPS DATA COLLECTION.THE REALLY COOL THING IS IF YOU LOOSE YOUR FIX IT LITERALLY ONLY TAKES SECONDS TO REAQUIRE.
Very helpful for locating utilities! Works with most locate tools and has the built in data dictionary which is great as most apps don't have one.
the application is awesome! provides the easy ability to collect and share location based data.
The developers literally stalk you for feedback, decent app but they aren't careful with your personal data.

Import / export features work super well and is compatible with numerous file types
Works great with Radiodetection RD8100 locators. Easily maps all the utilities I locate, records depths and shares with clients
Staking works phenomenally. Cut and fill values are super acurate.
Has insane number of different EPSG codes! Works with all my BT devices. Super helpful!

The fact that I can import my existing data through KMZ files makes it super easy to integrate my current projects
Before I could see if it's what I'm looking for it needs all kinds of info about me and the company I work for and all I needed was information on my own personally owned property

It has a decent input for a new program that does mapping. It's just that others can see your work as well without your explicit consent
