It mostly works well but sometimes can't find the book. I do like the "favorite" feature so I can save all the books my kids need to test on and remove them when they're done. Would like it to be a little more intuitive as it took a while to figure out how to remove books from the favorite list (you would think clicking the star again would do it but it doesn't) and a confirmation asking if you're sure you'd like to remove a book from your favorite list would be nice, too.
Teacher A quick and useful resource for AR levels. It provides the important info you need to level your classroom library, AR level, quiz number, and AR points. The adds aren't relevant to me, so when one pops up it can be a little annoying. But they don't pop up very often. One negative is the text size is pretty small. A larger font would be easier to read. Also wish it had a book list builder and / or class library manager fuction.
I use this app all of the time to check the AR points and levels on books for my kids. My only issue is that if the book doesn't come up using the barcode then you have to enter the title perfectly or else the book won't come up. In those instances I'll search by author name and that usually works. Other than that i haven't had any problems. It's a great app!
Love the app. It makes buying new books in the correct reading grade level easier and I like knowing the AR points of books when i buy them. At times I get a message that the app has stopped working and I have to restart my phone. It's a but annoying but otherwise I like it.
It hard to find the books for my child's AR points. The book is never listed and the older books are impossible to find, no matter if it's the title, author or both. Not impressed by this app needs to be improved.
I attempted to scan six separate books not one of them came up on the scanner. My reason for downloading this was to scan it and do it quickly not to have to input the title every time. Definitely not what I wanted. Will be uninstalling immediately.
Some books will not scan, but it has the option to type in the author or title.I have found that using the author works better. If you use the last name only, it more than likely will come up. It definitely works for finding the AR levels which is what I needed it for.
This app works very well on the ipad at my workplace. However, on my android it doesn't work well. The scan is immediate and does not let me focus on the barcode first. This is unfortunate because I do need this app for work. Please fix this.
This app is so frustrating. Half the time when I scan a book it dose not show up. I end up having to manually put the the title. I use this app almost weekly. I help many teachers code there books.
The scanner is garbage. 2 out of 3 books that I knew were AR books returned no results with the scan feature. A manual search using the titles worked great and all the books were found.
This app is amzing! There are no ads and it really helps me when I need to find how much points a book contains. It is very useful and quick to use. I enjoy this app very much and I hope you to! :)
very bad, not enough time to scan the code, and immediately came back with negative information, have to put the camera perfectly for it to works. Manuel method is also bad, have to exact otherwise it won't work.
It shows me adsacly what I need. I needed it for AR points and it gave me the right ones. The scanner really works, in fact it works the best because it gets it in matter of seconds. Amazing app
One of the best free apps for AR reading level information. Similar apps for children's books make you work twice as hard for half the results. Complete ISBN scanner info. Search by author or title is quick and handy. No Lexile :-(
Only works for me when I enter the author's name. Never works when I enter a title. Also doesn't work when I scan. I don't know if that's because I need to download a separate app in order to scan.
Dont bother using the scanning option. You'll need to type either the authors name or the title of the book. Best way to search is authors last name. This app is ok but could definitely be better.
This is a great idea! At first it was saving time at stores and other places we buy books. There are a lot of books it can't recognize from the isbn code..You then have to search by title..you can do the same title/author search on the A.R. website..
Horrible. Good luck searching anything. Never finds any book I search for. If the title has a "the" or an "and" in the title and you don't put those words, it won't find it or even suggest anything. Worst search engine ever.
Mostly great but half of the books I scan say No AR but when I type in the title they are leveled. The barcode scanner isn't perfect.
Simply to use, incredibly useful app! Takes the guessing out of the point value and reading level of each book.
This is a good app. I use it to code my library for the students. It's easy to use. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because, I have a lot of books that are not listed at all. Especially the lower level books for k-2
The barcode scanner is too quick. It doesn't give me sufficient time to line the camera up with the book.
Much quicker than the website. This is a must if your are trying to keep up with what your little AR reader can test on.
Sometimes the book won't show up with the title but if I use the author's last name I can find it. Very helpful app!
None of the books I scan seem to be part of AR. The app could offer more for readers as well.
I like this app. It helps me easily check the AR level of books to find ones that are appropriate for my child.
It's seriously helpful. It's safe and you also have the option to favorite books. I recommend, and it was even reccommend by our ELA teacher.
the scanner does not work properly, not enough time to point at the bar code. do not download!!!
4 of 5 books were not found by scanning. 1 wasn't found by title or full author's name, but was there when I searched only by author's last name.
Sometimes, it's a bit hard to use (on my Samsung, I have to backspace to change something - I can't just click to place my cursor). But, it's so nice to see what AR range books are in by scanning them. I wish it interfaced with the ability to submit requests for books to be added to the system (it have to go to the AR website to do that).
