Poke Genie - IV, PvP & Raid Guide

The raid coordination feature is literally a game changer. I went from getting MAYBE one out of a set of legendaries to getting the entire set for the region over night. The IV scanner is...odd? Not sure what I'm doing wrong with it, but it'll say something's evolved form is good for a certain league and then after evolving it that rating drops like 50%.

I had a few problems with the app, but it really is an amazing tool for the community, and the developer is obviously passionate about providing a solid product. I have had a few issues with trying to verify a team, and have had a few issues double-hosting lately, but neither were anything wrong with the app; the former is entirely user error, and the latter is something the app is not specifically designed to do.

It is a highly convenient way of quick scanning pokemons on the fly. It is intuitive and easy to personalize up to your needs. I strongly recommend beginners to learn the settings of the "scan tool". Single tick can show 2 different results. Thank you very much for a great app!

I was not able to record a video of the "Tally" ad b/c it was so spontaneous as to when it would advertise. I was not the only person experiencing this problem. My b/f runs Poke genie as well, & had the same thing happen to him. This only happened while playing with Poke genie. We uninstall, & then reinstalled the app. Thus far, we have not had this problem again. We absolutely love Poke Genie, & hope it continues to be awesome. Thank you for your time.

Had to sign into a different google account to get into the right one, randomly chose the wrong one. But got an option after signing in and out. For the 6* raids, it is a bit too tight with the lax verfication and requirements. Had to uninstall the app to get premium back, good by pokemon data. (The data was out of date anyway) Great tool to use, only thing I would love is auto start. But my phone requires the accept to cast this screen, so don't think there's a way around this.

Have some compatibility issues switching between apps and folding and unfolding my fold 3 as some of the boxes sizes are incorrect untill restarting the app. Other than minor inconveniences ordinary with having a weird phone with multiple sizes, amazing and way easier to use than pokeraider! Would love an option for 10 raid invites like pokeraider does as it's insanely easy to do and would be great for the 6 star raids out.

I overall love this app! It's helped me learn and have an eye for what IVs are great to hold on to just at a glance, but it's still useful to have when unsure. The raids are nice too! I do wish there was an autoscroll feature that came with the purchase of IV Vision. Just so I didn't have to manually scroll after every scan! IV Vision 'does' just stop working on me as well sometimes, but it's just a quick stop and start in notifs tab/bar to fix!

Decent and very helpful app when it works. Have quite a few issues with scanning not working. Issues with having phone set on dark mode. As well as after recent phone update the scanning feature refusing to work. Phone: Xiaomi Mi 11 Other than that works very well. Raids are very easy to join and host. Would like to see an option to host 10 man raids as I haven't seen that yet?

I love the app, it is super useful. The reason for taking off a star is that I feel nervous every time I use it. I am afraid I will forget to close it. The app uses overlay and screen caps to do what it does, so it isn't very secure, and it warns users about this. If there was a setting to close the app when I close Pokémon, or some kind of reminder that Poke Genie is open if Pokémon app isn't my focus, that would help or make the orange dot overlay switch to a different color to remind me.

Edit: Screen shot mode requires the overlay which seems pointless to me. This should be made more clear in the app itself. The iOS version is a much better version of the app, oh well.

Absolutely essential companion app for Pokemon Go! It's terrific for organizing and cataloguing your Pokemon and putting together the best parties for raids. And now you can simultaneously wait in long queues and still be able to do other things in the app, such as turn the overlay back on if it's off, etc. Love this app. Thank you for all the hard work, developers!

No complaints, just joined, did 3 successful raids out of 4, the one failure raid was at no ones fault, I simply just wasn't able to join for whatever reason, had nothing to do with the app and something to do with Pokemon Go. I like the IV scanner, was a little confusing, but after a few minutes I figured it out, it is very useful. Huge thumbs up to the developers on this app.

ETA: I'm still having the trouble. It's very frustrating and I don't know how to fix it. Please help. ETA: Delete and reinstall send to have fixed it, thank you so much. Now I'm back to catching everything. *** I love using this app and happily paid for the full version a year ago. But today it's insisting that my "trial period" has run out and when I touch 'restore purchase', it says it can't. Please fix this so I can go back to using the app that I've paid for?

Sometimes switches between Google accounts making you reset your Pokemon "friend code", username, and level... Otherwise, not too many issues. If you downloaded the app much later into game play you have to manually enter all of your Pokemon. Haven't figured out how to host a Raid YET! Great concept though, LOVE that it's FREE. Honestly a well rounded app/tool for anything from Raids to general stats and PvP! Highly useful especially when you've hit your max in bag pokemon and need a clean up!

The interface is a little basic and clunky, reminds me of surfing forums in the late 90's. But the services are pretty cool. The PvP IV rating system is actually kind of legit, I've done a bit better since I started following it. My favorite part is pairing up for remote raids, the closest gyms to my house are a 20 minute drive away. Would totally recommend using it.

I would have quit playing PoGo if not for this app, but sometimes the app punishes you for things that aren't your fault. Like sending late notifications when you have perfect signal and a 5g connection. It's not my connection speed, and I can tell when it is the few times that happens.

Absolutely changes the way I play Pokémon Go. Very useful app. I do wish they had a way to customize how many people you're trying to recruit instead of having to do 5 every time. Sometimes I have friends interested in helping and don't need 5.

Absolutely required for higher play! (or if your lazy and don't have friends) Ended up paying for all the features because I hope this app improves not because they are necessary. If you can't seem to win raids or always have to solo, need an automatic IV calculator (besides the built in one) with pokemon and move Rankings PLEASE get this.

I've used this app for years. I loved it so much, I paid for the upgraded version some time ago. Super simple to use for IV checks on Pokémon GO. The only draw back I can think of is that it is quite the battery hog, or at least it used to be. So I only use it for short times and not throughout event times or for all day play.

Used to be great for matching, but they've relaxed the rules to allow people to max in megas. Now I get matched with absolute garbage people and lose my raid passes. Literally says damage verification required but I join lobbies where I'm the only one verified.

Due to recent updates from niantic, the need for people to stay in a raid lobby is now more important. I feel the need to punish users who do this that uses this app, like a month long ban from using this app for ditching your team... Idk what implementation is needed for that but this is just a suggestion. My review is staying at 4 stars until something is done about this. Edit: Certainly doesn't feel like it considering how quick every single participant, on one of my raids, left, except one.

Great app, very useful features like name generator etc. Now with remote raids its even better for me, especially as I'm usually only available to raid late at night/early hours of morning so great for catching overseas raids and allows me to enjoy the game more. I have used it for over a year now and have had no issues although a simple way to scan all of your pokemon in one go would be great but other than that I love it, thanks 😊 🙏

The new verification feature is interesting, but broken as typical. Despite having the same team as in the string with no changes to cp or moves and having rescanned them multiple times, it still only shows one pokemon. After an hour I gave up trying to fix it. Thankfully this is optional. Despite that, it works for remote raids, which is the only thing I can say functions correctly almost every time.

(2/22/22) Great app. Update (3/26/22): I have been using the app for a month now. I really like the ui, versus other pokemon raid app. There are guides gallore. Everything is clean and organize. The new feature with the ranking is a bonus. I hope there will be more incentive added soon for users that have a higher ranking. I ran into a little problem after the update, messaged the developer and received a response and solution very quickly. Worth the money to upgrade.

best PoGO companion app i've ever used, only issue is that it shows a very large range for IV stats sometimes and could maybe have a reminder to close it when you close the game. so needs a little work, it's pretty good but could be even greater.

I like the idea of what the app does a lot. What I don't like is that it doesn't always work right and it bogs down my phone so the actual game lags when I run it. 4/9/22 So I still.use the app and have 5g and a better phone. So no issues there but now it won't allow me to restore my past purchases.

For some reason my iVision overlay button will sometimes not go away at all, and going into the app and removing then starting it up again only creates a second button. I've tried everything to get rid of it, but the only solution I've found that fixes it is completely restarting my phone

I'm not sure how to edit my earlier review, when I tried it brought me to a new one so I hope this will remove it. Removing the battery saver and eye shield on my phone seems to have taken care of the issue. I do wish this wasn't necessary as it runs my battery a lot faster, but at least it works again.
