So I had started this game back in like 2015-2016 on my 3DS and the fact that I'd recommend it on a discontinued system more than on an app I still play everyday is saying something. This version is way more unforgiving. Less catches. More expensive items (items cheaper on 3DS). More money spending. I gave to make the game a little more fun and I still fail. If I spend money I expect some kind of reward, not a 90% chance to catch something and failure to show for it.
I love this game! However, two things I'd love to see changed are the Pokemon selections screen. It's so inconvenient and you can see so little at any one time. As well, the catch rate system seems more or less completely arbitrary. I've finished with 9 moved left and it goes up by 15%, then I finished with 3 moves left and it goes up by 60%. Seems like a luck of the draw depending on the Pokemon. Other than those, amazing game! I constantly play it.
I love this game; however, my BIGGEST complaint about it is the fact that you lose a life every time you play a level as opposed to losing a life if you don't beat a particular level. It makes progress slow, tedious, and unforgiving. I REALLY wish the developers fix this at some point in the future.
**if anyone has a 'newer' phone and can't click the agree button, it's because the hit box is glitchy. try doing it in pop-up mode. it worked for me.** the game is very cute and fun to play. I've played it on my 3ds also, but i like it better on mobile. it runs smoothly and the difficulty increases over time. eventually you may have to start paying for items to help with each puzzle to win, but it's mostly luck.
Doesn't work on Galaxy S9. There is a 1 inch gap at the bottom and you need to tap 1 inch below where you want for the game to register it, it took me multiple tries just to enter my age and hit OK. Completely unplayable. Edit: I found a workaround. Immediately after opening the app there is a button at the bottom for a split second to make it full screen. It took several tries closing and reopening and tapping madly, but now the game seems to work. This bug still needs fixing.
I wish you could only run out of lives if you lose. Other wise would be 5. I have a lot of fun until im forced to wait for lives to reload. Definitely still a lot of fun. Blends pokemon with using your brain well. I enjoy the ability to click and drag to make matches as opposed to only being able to match closeby in many other games. Play it, just remember to go do other constructive things when you inevitably run out of lives.
Although it's a fun game to play if you need to pass the time, it can sometimes be a little frustrating if you don't have a good type match up on stages. If you have super effective Pokemon for a stage but they're lower in power/level you just end up stuck until you eventually get lucky enough with combos. Grinding isn't possible because you gain very little experience from matches you win and even less when you lose. However, it's still a fun puzzle game worth checking out.
Great game. Unfortunately after having to change phone 3 times transferring save data is very difficult and without old phone working pretty much impossible so have had to start from square one a few times. But still I always come back and learn how to give myself a better start. Tip: try not to spend your coins until later on when trying to get a difficult pokemon and the super catch option shows.
Fun. Cute. Pokemon. Interesting stages and varying levels of difficulty throughout the game stages. Nothing requires money and there is low pressure to purchase. Which is so refreshing. I am disappointed that I can't have my profile backed up on the goggle game system. Or some opinion to save to my account as to not lose anything when/if I have to change devices.
First of all: very fun game, it's addictive and the combo's feels solid, but damn, the progression is awful. The levels doesn't take that long and only having 5 hearts doesnt help either. After playing for 5-10 min. you'll need to wait 2.5 hours to play again. Once you get to the harder levels the catch rate is laughable. For ex: I've finally beaten an hard level and it took me 4 tries, catch rate: 10%.. It feels more like a punishment then a reward for beating a hard level.
Coming from a player of the 3DS version, it's a bit of a mixed reception. The prices for the boosts increased a bit to compensate for the easy payment stuff for those that do, but otherwise it's a bit of an increase. I think the breaking points are the required capture at certain points (minor) as well as the absolute tease of the Super catch opportunity REGARDLESS of whether or not a player can purchase a Great Ball. I know others like this version, but I'll likely stick to the 3DS one.
I enjoyed playing this game on the 3DS, so I'm alright with playing it on mobile. It seems fine in every instance EXCEPT for the sound. It may just be a "me" problem, but the music and sound effects are all wonky, sounding like a slow echoey glitch whenever there. That's my main reason for scoring three stars. Otherwise, not too bad of a game. At the same time, I'm not crazy about pay-to-win scenarios.
I love this game! To the point that I was willing to start over when I didn't save my retrieval code. However, I find the limited plays to be very annoying. Having to stop playing even if you finish all levels without fail is a dumb idea. I get that it is probably to keep kids from playing too long, but when one is bored, limited plays makes it hard to come back too. This just happened in pokemon café so I finally decided to come back and voice my opinion. Nothing will change, but I voice idea
Very entertaining and addicting! It's meant to be played in short bursts while commuting or on break, and as long as you can keep passing stages without retrying you get more hearts to keep going. No need to spend money, but the option is there just in case you feel it's too hard. Perfect balance.
The game seems structured to make you pay money, I've been failing +80% very often, and always catching the 20-30% catches. Could be a coincidence, could be a way to get you to spend money to use great balls. Fun game, but 6 plays is not really that many in the grand scheme of things
Tried running it on my Galaxy S8 and the game screen isn't scaled properly. There is a large black gap at the bottom of the screen and the touch functions do not line up with the in-game buttons, making it unplayable. A real shame since I've played the game before on other mobile devices and loved it... Will update review when a fix is released.
Pokémon Shuffle is a fine puzzle/match-3 game on its own, and the presentation is very charming and sweet. I love the notion of catching and collecting Pokémon which you can then use in these puzzle "battles." My biggest issue, however, is with how limited the playtime really is, given that a heart is consumed for each level, is not replenished even if the level is won, and only regenerates after ~25 minutes. It's difficult to enjoy to the fullest when only 2 levels can be completed each hour.
I have recently lost an account (that I had put in a lot of effort into) to the Transfer. I had all the other info except the mobile's Client ID- which is no longer accessible. It would be much easier for all players (myself and others) if their account was just part of/connected to their Google account and didn't require all these 'gymnastics' to transfer their account. Also, this Hearts and Diamonds system limits playability. Although f2p, there is too much that tries to make the player pay.
A fun but simple game where you can catch a variety of pokemon. If you think the games too easy at first then don't worry because the levels later on in the game are harder. If that's still not enough then you can choose to play expert levels and see how you fare there. To some up my experience, I really enjoy this game and I hope this helps you decide if you want to install the game or not.
the game and graphics are good but the one thing that irritates me as a player is that no matter if you win or lose a level u lose a heart. in my personal experience this is the only game like this that does all other games only take a life away if you lose the level. if this isnt something that is in the process of being changed it should be. My interest in playing this game is dwindling fast unless this is to be fixed.
I'm kinda disappointed.. If you have a 3DS I'd highly recommend getting it on there instead, it's free there as well. The levels are far too easy to beat and it provides pretty much no challenge. I can make the other pokemon faint in 3 moves or less every single time its not as enjoyable when I don't have to think hard about how to use my moves like on the 3DS. It's a lot less rewarding on mobile.
Fun game, simple to learn and easy to play, but later levels become infuriating and impossible unless you pay hundreds of dollars a month to buy gems, coins and items needed to power up pokemon and actually complete levels. Ability effects are rigged to never occur when you actually need them since almost all of the levels require pokemon with certain abilities like Stabilize or Rock Smash in order to win the level, but almost no pokemon have those abilities at all.
I love this game, I spent a lot of time on this game. It's very satisfying when you pull off masive strings of combos, but some levels are extremely infuriating because you need to use a Pokemon thats ineffective in order to succeed. Other levels are made so you have to use a gem too, which is just terrible.
Incredibly Fun. Don't let it's candy crush appearance fool you; this game has some very unique mechanics to it that sets it apart from it's more popular match 3 counterpart. Plenty of levels and plenty of challenges to keep you from getting bored. Heart refill timer also isn't very long, which allows for less waits between games. Overall, just a very enjoyable experience and a very well-made game.
The game is just a fun little puzzle game, but like most people say on their reviews, the chances (percentages) are lost likely tweaked. 5% chances are oddly easy to catch at the beginning, but as you progress, 25-35% chances are near impossible without using a great ball. They really are trying to make you spend money. It's a bit annoying since it feels like the players are outright being lied to. Best advice is to not spend money. Just receive the dailies! :)
I love this game so much. It has Pokémon and puzzles, a wonderful mixture for hours of game play in my off time. It's quite addictive, but it has time limiting mechanics, probably for my own good. I rate it 4 stars because they once had the option to login through Facebook, but they removed it and I lost all of my progress.
While the gameplay itself is fun and the collecting mirrors the mainline games, it is tough to recommend. Hearts regen so slowly (and you even use them up when you win) that the only feasible way to play is filling your friends list with random people online. The game also gimps itself with its "random" catch chances. Having just spent 24 lives on one stage, winning each time with a 30%+ chance to catch each time and now closing the game with 0 lives and not having caught it is plain awful.
It's a bit slow at first, but once you get rolling it can be pretty addictive. I dislike the limiting factor of the heart system, which only lets you play X times a day and then you have to pay. I'd rather be able to play as much as I like and be motivated to make in-app purchases in other ways. Also the music gets repetative after a while. New music pls!! But overal it's a pretty fun little game.
