Poker Omaha Hand Trainer

A preflop hand trainer to help improve your pot limit Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo Poker starting hand selection by learning hand rankings ordered by equity and profitability.
In Omaha Poker there are 16,432 combinations of starting hands and in Omaha 5 Card, there are 134,459 combinations of starting hands!

Many new players switching from Texas Holdem to Omaha have difficulty determining how good a four card hand in Omaha is. For example, a hand like KJ55 may look nice to a new player
- you have two high cards KJ and a medium pair. However, this hand is actually not very good and is in the bottom 10% of all hands if it is unsuited.

Train yourself to play better starting hands using the two modes:

Practice modeGuess the ranking of a random hand and see how accurate you are

Lab modeExperiment with custom hands and see how good they rank

Available poker game types
• Pot Limit Omaha
• Pot Limit Omaha High-Low
• Pot Limit Omaha 5 Card
• Pot Limit Omaha 5 Card High-Low

FAQ

How are hands ranked? The hand ordering lists used are provided by ProPokerTools. You can read more about the evolutionary method they used on their website.

Starting hand strength is not that importantIndeed, the rankings used do not consider stack depth, position, playability and how likely each hand can reach showdown and realize their equity. As with every decision in Poker, there are a variety of factors to think about when choosing hands.

This tool it's pretty fun for a little while but it gets kind of boring after a while. It can teach you preflop equity. It would be cool if they had a way to keep your high score or maybe a leaderboard among other players also maybe a mix challenge does all the different Aloha Styles in One longer practice session of maybe 25 to 50 or more questions.

Don't waist you time. DOES NOT DO A THING! All it does is show you hand ranking. Thats it. I would love it if would train you how to read hands especially Hi/Lo.

It's okay for what it does. great for bathroom breaks. Once they add more real life variables should make it a lot better.

The interface for entering a hand is extremely clunky. Would be better to just show an array of all the cards, and the user taps them. Would be nice if the hands were broken down into 0.1%. Especially at the top end of things, it would be nice to know if a hand is top 0.1% or top 1.0%, rather than both appearing as "top 1%"

Awesome idea for improving your knowledge of omaha hands. Thanks. The only thing I wish it had right now is the option to only randomize a certain amount of hands. Like let's say I wanna learn the top 20% of hands so I select 20% and I can now randomize between only the top 20%

Rating is based on hot/cold equity instead of actual hand strength/post flop playability, so rather inaccurate for actual gameplay. Nice design.

pretty handy for checking and practicing starting hand ranges and strength. would like to see an easier input for entering hands in the lab section.

Perfect example of a very simple, but very well designed app.

The app would be a lot better if it listed more than just the best Omaha hand and just the worst Omaha. (IN THE ABOUT SECTION) Where do the other hands rank?
