Hi again. I'm trying to learn ranges, and a mini game that's simpler than the preflop one might help. Instead of or alongside Best Hand, how about an opening game? I'm thinking of one based on whether to fold, raise, or limp from various positions. In other words, I need something to help me memorize ranges before action starts. Thanks for reading.
The timer is a deal breaker, annoying that I keep resetting timer. UNISTALL
(Edit: developer has added the new equity feature!) The app functions great, but i really think the hand reading exercises are a miss. We need equity, not just how often the hand ranks better than the opponent. For example, KsQs on a board of 6s10s9h, is a monster. 2 overs and flush+gutshot draws, certainly > 50% equity over opponent. But the app just says we are ahead 9% of the time, since it's only K high.
Doing these excersises has definitely helped me understand my game and how to improve it. It is great for spotting bad habits but even more useful for developing a GTO basis for your play if you take the time to read the explanations behind each excersise. Also you can use the situations it presents you with to work on your own weaknesses like practising mental odds and EV math for example.
The preflop trainer is not only locked behind a paywall, but is also pretty garbage as it doesn't show stack sizes or even the raise sizes, which are both crucial factors in a preflop decision. The rest of the features are ok, but aren't much use for intermediate to advanced players.
Not really a good trainer. It assumes everybody plays the same way. Which is far from the truth. Especially the pre flop trainer.
This doesn't teach you anything. All it does is give you examples of hands then when you give an answer it'll just tell you if your right or wrong without an explanation. For example. "It wasn't high a card, your answer is wrong. It's actually a Straight." Well why is it a straight. What made that hand a straight. Don't tell me I'm wrong then not tell me why it's wrong. All it does is tell you if your right or wrong. That's not training.
When I do preflop drills it tells me when I was wrong but it doesn't tell me what the right move was. Great app in theory but needs improvement
A Very Informative app! I even actually bought the app, because I loved it So much! Highly reccomended to increase my knowledge of the game! Bravo and Thank you Thomas!
Seems like it could be useful but if you are using this as a trainer it doesn't when tell you what the proper move would be
I worth what it costs! Great exercises to train your skills.
Doesn't work properly
excellent way to improve your game!
app has not been updated for my new Samsung
I really like the various games but the UI needs some work. For example, in practice mode, if I click the wrong answer, a popup opens with the right answer and links to more info, which is great. However, when I close the popup, it moves me on to the next puzzle rather than back to the old one. I want to go back to the 'current' puzzle so I can apply what I learned and select the right answer, reinforcing learning.
If you apply the basic principles you will find a dramatic success increase in your game. Once you get those down, then you can throw your game/personality to it. End result, more fun at the tables. ESPECIALLY Ring/Cash games!!
Some of it is good but they really need to update preflop as they would have you play way too nitty from the blinds
As a beginner, I found the app hard to understand how to play. I am a visual learner. The tutorial, for the game I was playing, was in all text. Did I read it?...Of course, but having a video to learn from would have been better.
