Pokétch: Shiny Hunt Counter

I really enjoy this app, the best of its kind as of right now. I do have some suggestions. A pause button would be great while doing a hunt! Also, I'd like to add my shinies from before I got this app to the 'collected' list. While this is possible, it would be great if the collected date showed up in the list instead of the imported date. That way the collected list would be in chronological order. Also, once an encounter number has been added, it can't be changed. Otherwise, great app!

I wish we were able to manually edit the time it took to get the shiny or have an option that allows you to remove it if you want to. 8-12-20 Edit - I've redownloaded the app and i would like it if we were able to add pokemon to our collection without having to specify a date and also being able to change the "collected on" date whenever. Also being able to sort by the date you found the Pokemon would be nice. Also also when we sort our lists it should stay that way even if the app is closed.

The app is really great but I found a weird bug. Before I could edit the encounter date. Now I can't. Also the encounter date saves as the day before your encounter. For example, I encountered a shiny Altaria on January 31 2018, but it gets saved as January 30 2018, and now I can't fix the date.

For the most part, this app is great! Very useful and easy to use. Just two complaints: first, there doesn't seem to be a way to organize your mons, which can be annoying if you like to plan out hunts far in advanced or if you are doing multiple hunts. Also, you can only have one counter going at a time, which is unfortunate for hunters who like to hunt different mons at once. But don't let that deter you, the app is very polished, and looks nice too. Just those two fixes would make it 5 stars!

When you set a Pokemon's collected date it will make it a day off from what you set it as. Oh, I also heard of people having their data wiped for no reason- It would be nice if there was a way to save our data to an account or something, but Idk if that's asking too much? Regardless of that I really like the interface and how orderly it all is, very convenient.

Really like the idea and layout of the app. Easy to use and manage. But every update it just deletes all my data, without an option to back up. This is very frustrating because I have to start counting again and it's not accurate anymore. Please fix this soon!

Normally I love this app. It's great to be able to see the shiny sprite and odds while hunting. But for the third time now it's just randomly deleted all my data. All my completed hunts. Gone. All my active hunts. Gone. It's super annoying because then I have to start my counters back from 1 and it's not actually accurate to how long I've spent hunting something. And theres no option to back up the data or anything to prevent it from happening

Today, August 7th, the app received an update. When i opened it, I was told that "Due to popularity" the app would be migrating to a account based site that would eventually recieve it's own mobile app. At first I thought this was cool, until I closed the pop up window to see that every single hunt I had planned, or had completed, had been erased. All of it, dozens of completed and planned hunts, just gone. I don't remember how many encounters it took or when I found them, they're just gone. Sad

Needs some updating. Cannot change date after adding to collection, multiple pokemon missing, and hunting methods missing. Overall it's a great app, but these things are becoming a pain. The worst is everytime I add a pokemon to my collection the date changes itself after I add it to my collection by one day back. So I have to put the date one day ahead in order it to show the correct collection date.

(3/22/2020) DO NOT USE THIS APP! Any time your phone or anything updates, you'll lose all of your saved hunts and in progress counters. I've had them erased before and the developer said he'd fix it, which he did, but then it happened again and despite trying to contact the developer for a month, nothing has been fixed. It's not worth the headache or frustration. Keeping it in a post-it would've been better.

Not updated to BDSP and I wish they could add an update with like an overlay so I can keep counting while doing other things like watching videos or streamings. Still a very good app to use, but it could become even better!

An outstanding app for all shiny hunters! Free, add free, and an easy to understand simple UI makes it an excellent tool. Only problem is when manually entering a shiny into your collection, it sets the date back one day and you can't edit it later without creating a new entry.

I downloaded Pokétch for shiny hunting use, and it's an amazing app, I really recommend using it but just a few small tweaks could honestly make it a 5* app in my eyes. One is that the sprites in the select Pokémon menu for Alola Forms don't appear shiny, when others do. Also, if you choose a game first, you could make it so only methods and Pokémon obtainable in some way in that game appear as options to select. These are just Quality Of Life updates that could be done rather quickly. Thanks.

I love this app! Super easy to use. I love bring able to have multiple hunts saved. creator is super receptive to feedback, and continues to make updates with feedback in mind. i recommend it anytime someone asks what to use to count for encounters or whichever method. I wish i could display it when im streaming on twitch 😅

Pretty dang good. However... For Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee the catch combo shouldn't be affecting the odds past 31. After that point the catch combo can continue however encountering and running away is the best and most common method to avoid breaking the catch combo. Would also be cool if you could "lock" the catch combo independent of encounters for those who want full odds so they stop at a catch combo of 10.

This app is amazing! It's super easy to use and it's got a really neat and friendly ui. I love it! The only other thing I can ask for of it is being able to toggle the Masuda Method for breeding (similar to being able to toggle the shiny charm), since I believe it changes the odds.

I got a new phone and am heartbroken that I can't transfer all my hunts to my new phone. I would pay premium for a cloud storage of sorts, I do so much shiny hunting. I made an account on the website connected to the app in hopes I could save my hunts that way, but there is no option to upload hunts and catches from the app to the website. 😭

App as it stands is fantastic. However the app has not been updated since 2019. Due to this is it missing all new Pokémon included in the DLC's for Sword and Shield. If these were included would easily recommend this to anyone. The website that works the same way as this app has the same issue.
