PokeType - Dex

This app is absolutely incredible. It is an amazingly packed full database and even works offline. The search function is amazing too, I don't think I've ever had to type more than 3 letters of a name before it pops into the drop down menu. I will be upgrading to ad free to support the devs of this, they deserve it. Note: The ads they do have are very unintrusive

This is a very good and well thought out app. It's comprehensive, intuitive and overall just amazing. My only complaint is that it only has everything that's up current content. For example, there are only maps for gens 3, 5 and 7. You can also only find learned move sets and tm/hm list for the current generation. I'm an old school fan and I enjoy looking for information that is relevant to the generation of when it was released.

It's pretty good for what it is, a competitive team builder. I have two recommendations though. 1. More sorting among held items, such as Mega Stones being in their own category of sorts, same for Plates, Z Crystals, and others. 2. When choosing what item a Pokemon holds, you should do it to where it sort of fills in the blanks like it does with choosing what moves it has. In all it does it's job rather nicely, just those recommendations I made will surely make things easier.

I love this app, it just takes forever to put information for new generations in, which is really the only gripe I have with it. I have the free version, so only 3 teams can be put together on it and it has ads, but honestly the ads aren't too bad compared to other apps with ads and I find I don't mind the limited amount of teams I can make.

This app is just great, but I'd like to suggest two enhancements: (i) add the items for team build; (ii) improve the battle against AI, by allowing items and abilities, otherwise, some pokemon are very weak without items/abilities so this type of battle doesn't fulfil its purpose. Edit: when checking the ability "Dragon's Maw" the app crashes.

I'm sure this is said a lot but its missing so many things. Sure, you can MAKE a team and BATTLE with it, but the lack of items and abilities makes it extremely boring and repetitive.

the app has been useful with team planning for several game but some of the moves that a few pokemon I looked up and a few moves it should know not show up and others that the pokemon doesn't actually learn. also I've been having a problem when I change the settings to 6/7 gen and oras movesets, the app crashes whenever I check out the tm's the pokemon learn. overall great experience just a few bugs is all

Amazingly the first time I load this up, it already has a specific entry up, the sidebar is covering important info but just looked like a black bar, and it had flashing ads. It's a hot mess. I can't imagine why I'd pay for something this hostile to a user.

Honestly the best Pokedex app I've come across. I've used it for pretty much all of the pkmn games I've played. Interface is really simple and easy to understand. It tells you all you need to know and more. Loving the extra love and care put into it as well as the additional options. Fav feature though is the ability to see the shiny versions of all the Pokemon. Hands down the best Pokedex app out there.

The best pokemon app I have tried but with a few problems. The first one is that it won't let me see which pokemon are in a region except for the maps, which I can do with gen 1-5 games. The second issue is that while choosing the moves for my pokemon in the teams it gives every single move out there, not just the ones it can learn, which makes it a bit difficult to plan the moves when it says that spinda can learn draco meteor. I love the team battle though, that thing is amazing!

Perfect app has pretty much everything you'd want extremely thankful immediately spent the $2.5. My only suggestion would be to make it easier to browse through all the pokemon when building a team. Maybe adding categories to the team builder like region, body type and ability to learn certain moves. Also would be nice if there was a toggle for it to remember where you scrolled to in the list since its quite long now.

Pretty decent dex. I really wanted it for the battle mode. But the battle mode has been in "BETA" since I downloaded it and it is missing a majority of Pokemons key mechanics. The battle mode is nothing more than a mere novelty and can not in any way shape or form help you with any type of actual competitive play.

Well designed app, took me minute (a year and half or so) to figure out some features. Not because they were hard the figure out, just because I didn't know they were there.

I just use this to prepare a team concept for upcoming games. It shows you a lot of information displaying what sort of weaknesses you're having too much of or what stat array you're lacking in. I think the only things it's missing is knowing the precise move pools of each Pokemon, and having data for held items available in the Team Builder (item data can be found in a different category of the app though)

Very fun to mess around with the type combinations. Also has a great team builder. Battles with the ai's are a great low effort system that is simplified and easy to understand. There is also an online option with a team builder. Great app.

Definitely the best offline pokemon app I've seen. It is relatively easy to use and quite useful for someone like me who builds competitive teams and isn't online often. One small issue is that the app is only up to date to Ultra Sun/Moon and not Let's Go! Also, a few moves that are learned by certain Pokemon are not labeled as so (for instance, Core Enforcer is not listed as a move that Zygarde learns).

The app is useful to check items, moves, pokemon, and other information on the fly Some aspects of the app are a bit clunky and don't really work as they should like the battle simulater Also some QOL features coukd he added aswell to give a better experience

Great, except... Well, I solely play SW/SH and there are some things I would like to find out without having exclusives from other games in the way. I would LOVE to see an app-wide filter. If that was the intention behind the choices in Settings, it doesn't work. Really loving the app otherwise!

Overall a really great app. However, yoi can make it even better by adding more maps such as the original Red and Blue or Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red. I did see the all time best Pokemon Emerald map meaning that maybe it is possible to add the other classic maps to. Also please add a search function to the pokedex part of the app. Overall i had a great experience. Cheers!

The app boots quickly straight to the type selection screen, so within 3 seconds you will have all your type matchup needs met. The fact that this app serves as a Pokedex and team builder on top of that is just icing on the cake. It's fast and free with no obnoxious apps. 10/10

this app is amazing for players, who don't know yet all the pokemon types and moves. What would be nice is like instructions about what is what - I have a friend who is PokeNerd and explained everything to me, but before I was wondering for example what is move type coverage. of course I could've check in the internet, but it would be amazing if I could just click and see description :)

Fantastically detailed and easy to navigate. However I wish the it catered more to older generations, specifically regarding move sets. As someone who plays a lot of IV gen, I'd like to see more support for it.

I love this app. It is so easy to use and has so much information so readily available!!! By far the best dex app available. The only thing I want added is the ability to sort the pokemon list to only include the galar dex. I want to be able to compare for example all of the grass types available in swsh but I can't do that easily without having memorised which pokemon are in the game. So being able to switch the pokemon list between national dex and swsh dex would be amazing

This app rules for type matching especially. I use it all the time. Less screen clicks than other apps to see what type of Pokemon match best against your enemy. That being said, it's missing the new Sword and Shield Pokemon. When can we expect that? Even if u just add them for the Poketype Home page for people to know the matchups. You could add the other info at a later date once they're more understood.

This app is amazing. Not only can you learn type matchups put you can play pokémon battles (I mostly use it for learning type matchups). I have learnt every types resistances and weaknesses in about 20 minutes. I still use it to test myself. So I would recommend you to try it if you want to learn every types' resistances and weaknesses.

Extremely helpful for people inbetween games. Helps pass time, extremely accurate and even with the abilities and items withheld, still arguably just as fun to go vanilla. Thank you very much for this application and i look forward to future updates.

As someone who is disorganized, I'm glad to have an app that has everything I need so I don't have to make a Google search every 5 minutes. It has everything you would need for planning a competitive team: natures, IVs and EVs, items and abilities, etc. My favorite feature is the team builder. It gives you all the stats on your team strengths and weaknesses, which helps me find the flaws. This app has really helped me gain more knowledge about pokemon as a whole. To the developers, good job! 👍
