This app won't work. I have factory reset the camera also and it won't print. When I try to configure and add network ID and password the keyboard won't pop up to let me input. Just kicks me out of the app entirely. Both camera and app just won't work. Very disappointed to have spent so much money for nothing.
Just purchased the device recently, and I haven't even been able to print one photo because the app keeps crashing. After investing all this money in the device and accessories, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. My phone and the Pop are connected, but then I go to print an image, and it says they are not connected. When I poke around to try and resolve the problem, the app crashes over and over. Plainly, this is embarrassing for Polaroid.
I love this thing lol! I got it for my granddaughter, and it's so easy for her to use. She's 12, so that's kinda what I was going for. And the pictures are great quality for her and her friends to share!! I think it's important to show her that everything isn't electronic, so to speak. The importance of actually having pictures. ❤️❤️❤️
Never used before, but when I tried to print my first picture kept telling me I had to update first. Tried updating the app, but nowhere stood that it wasn't up to date. Then tried to uninstall and install the app again, but nothing worked. Can't print any of my photos now, very dissatisfied.
Useless. Basic functions don't work. Clearly the developers never tried to use it on a phone. Nearly every function doesn't work. After connecting to the POP, it will not communicate, asking you to connect (it doesn't recognize the connection). Don't waste your time try to use this app
Slightly frustrating. Have apparently two models. The battery life could be longer. Updated the firmware, the apparent older model seems to get hot. Still getting to know the unit, overall impressed with the concept. Hope to love it.
This was the most awful thing I've ever bought, everything was perfect at first just a little odd coloration but now it wont even print I've been trying for 3 months and I'm going to try again right now. It connects and I go through my phone it says printing but it doesnt?
Only half of my picture printed when I printed a picture from my phone off the app, the bottom half is blackish green with blue dots. Plus I've noticed all the photos print out in poor quality, which is not what they advertised.
I have a Samsung Galaxy A11. This will not pair with it. It says for Android as well, but will not work. I wanted to be able to print from my Gallery. Total waste for me. Should have stated which phones are not compatible with this camera printer. I will never buy another Polaroid product again. Spent hours trying to get this to work with my phone.
I bought the polaroid pop a few days ago at a local resale store. I did not know this device existed but it caught my attention because I had never owned any polaroid cameras and I wanted one. After purchasing, I followed the instructions and it was a pain in my a**. I took my almost 2 days to finally get my Samsung galaxy to connect to my polaroid pop to edit or even print pictures off of my phone. I knew the camera worked because I took a picture off the camera itself and the picture took about 30 seconds to print out. After reviewing the product I found that people were running into the same issue I could not figure out the, "update firmware to edit or print photos". On the app itself, there is a menu button on the left hand side and on one of the tabs it says "connect phone to polaroid pop". it gives you some basic instructions on how to connect via wifi. Below these instructions it provides a firmware number, and if it is not updated there will be a install/ download button (can't exactly remember) next to the firmware number. It took me 2 trials to download, but after the second attempt I finally got a message on my polaroid pop saying "firmware update in progress, pop will shut down after update". That is how you will know if the update is downloading properly.... After shutting down, I turned on my camera and FINALLY I was able to edit, select, and print photos directly from my galaxy s9 to my polaroid pop. Photo quality is somewhat blurry but hello, its a polaroid camera, what am I supposed to expect? I hope you find this article helpful because before figuring this out, I could not find much information other than people saying it was a terrible device and the app sucked. Go directly to the app to update as mentioned above, because there is no "update" button on the google play store.
I got a Polaroid pop for my birthday and it just doesn't connect with my phone/ Polaroid pop app at all. It says it's connected and then when I try to print the picture it asks to "connect to pop". I can't even print pictures from my phone. What a huge disappointment for advertising it as "wifi instant digital print camera".
Keeps crashing on my LG G8 ThinQ. I already tried updating and reinstalling. Can't open my phone's gallery from the app, and can't print pictures from my phone to the device. This needs to be fixed.
When I first started using this app it worked very well. Then I bought a new phone and now the printer button doesn't work at all most of the time. If it does register my touch, it says something about the file being "not found"
Difficulties with app crashing and bad picture quality but customer service was very quick to respond via email. Will update review when and if a solution is found.
Awful app navigation and refuses to print from my pixel 6 on Android 12. Gives me an error message about "missing java" something. Please update and fix. I'd like to be able to what I purchased.
Can't sync with Pop to get additional borders, etc. Can connect but then can't sync... Says to restart and reconnect but that doesn't work, either
App doesn't work well with my new Samsung phone. I can connect my phone and camera via wifi but it doesn't allow me to print pictures.
This app perfectly connects to the camera and it is easy to print things from your phone. The app itself is well made and I suggest using it if you have a Polaroid pop.
App worked great a few months back.. now I can't get ANYTHING on my camera to upload to my app. Help! I also see EVERYONE is having this issue.. I'm so sad.. if my camera doesn't work for Youtube, it's useless to me.
A little confusing. Too many Polaroid machines, hard to find firm wear update . I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, unlocked, jail broken, 1/2 gig internal & 1/2 gig SD card, plus 128 gb USB otg additional storage. This isn't my first time at the rodeo. For average non tech. Geek out there it would be nice for camera's to auto update firm ware. Oyher than that, good quality prints, compact, easy to drop into a back pack, or purse, brief case, fanny pack, etc.
Worked for first time. Stopped working after a month. App keeps closing. Keeps crashing. Very annoying.
I've been trying to connect this thing for a 2 and a half ours, but the samethings keep on happening. I don't recomend getting this app because it is just horrible.
Useless. Horrible app, it was connected but we werent able to print with an error notification saying "please connect".
Picture quality not the best. And now the App has stopped working completely since it has been updated. Pointless. App still not working 29/11/20
12-7-2020 Still unable to try to connect app to wifi without it crashing. I have sent error reports and reports to the developers with no fix.
Well the idea of the product was pretty good , I was pretty happy when I got it , but for the last months I haven't been able to update the firmware in the camera , wich prevents ts me from using it with my phone :/
The app worked before the update, but now no matter what I do it won't connect and I can't print out my photos.
Slow to get started instructions are a bit prat about and play and see what happens a poor starting position. up loading from pop to phone was a bit slow but got there in the end. How ever trying to send a pic from my phone via the app failed. I was hoping to be able to print my pics from the phone albums via pop. Also some way of a direct link from pop to web based apps would be good.
