Very good application. But maybe two things could be improved: 1/ a better synthetic view of all our travels because the global map on dashboard isn't usable and usefull. 2/ the possibility to share one travel step only because currently the social sharing button create a public link for all the travel. So it's dangerous for the privacy.
What an amazing app to register all the travels made ! Sometimes a few bugs in terms of time: it would be good to be able to choose the time zone when the time is set for a step. Except that, an amazing design and it urges me to travel more in order to collect more flags 😁 Thank you !
So far, so great! Being a former GIS/digital mapping professional I really appreciate the map-based tech. The best way I have found to plan my trip and document 50 Shades of Fresh Pink. Planning, organizing pics and videos, sharing, plus, plus. Polarsteps has it all and a bag of chips. Spread the word!
This app has been a great way for us to stay in touch with our friends and family as we crossed the country. We really have enjoyed loading pictures and stories for them. It is a real asset to our travel experience. Our kids are glad to know where we are all the time and saves them from any anxious concerns. We also enjoy getting their comments!!!
Great app. Only issue is when scrolling thru photos, it usually closes these & you end up back at the point of interest you opened, then you have to scroll thru all the previously viewed photos again.
I love the idea. Two suggestions: would it be possible to share trips with single people only? Atm i can only share with followers, everyone or noone. I'd really like to have the option to just share with one or two people. Preferably by just giving them a link? That would be awesome :D ... Also a feature "travelling together" where fotos that are uploaded are shared across multiple accounts that are travelling together?
I find Polarsteps a fantastic functional travel diary & planner with excellent features for photos, movies, points of interest, travel steps, destinations and experiences. All combined with the optional ability to share your experiences with family, friends and the public as you travel and beyond. You can also order you own hard copy travel book. Highly recommended.
I'm loving following my friends' trip on this brilliant app. The only problem I'm having is sometimes the keyboard on my phone is in the way of the comments box and I can't make a comment. I can always see and like their photos though.
Been using it for several months now and absolutely love it. As a "present" to my wife I captured the 160 or so trips we've done together. It was a great lockdown project as I got to travel virtually all over the world - and relive many special moments. Have ordered several travelbooks (for me and as gifts) and they're truly beautiful. I've researched and tried several similar apps but none provide the travel-specific features of Polarsteps. Great app, great service, great staff. I'm hooked.
I really enjoy using this app. It's easy to use and full of options to share a lot of information about your trip (photos, spots, comments ...) I also use it to share photos on Instagram. The only pain point is the filter automatically added on the picture and the fact that you can only share one picture at a time.
I like the concept this app, but I don't like the fact that I can't control what pictures show up on the story board snapshot. It doesn't matter how I load them, the app selects what picture to display. Also it needs to include various travel modes other than plane. I often travel by train while un Europe, ferry when going to the Cape and automobile throughout the US.
The best app I've seen so far for sharing your travels. Very intuitive for the user and for your friends to see. The mapping is gorgeous and it summarizes your trip in a glance. I love it.
Adding and organising pictures is quite easy. I would only like to get an easier way to rearrange pictures in bulks. Sharing links is easy and the layouts look great! I will be using the app for my next trips too
Well done on correctly so quickly the auto zoom levels. However, the trip recorded kept adding plane lines when i tried to register a train trip. The process of adding steps is archaical : why should I add imaginary steps to remove it ? You guys are able to suggest modes of transportation for the road ahead and future steps. Why is it so difficult to change the mode of transportation for past steps?
Great idea and works fairly well. Not totally intuitive but almost there. Eg. East to take pics but loose them because u forgot to save or something.
I had originally given a three stars rating because of an issue with the program creating non existent legs. However once aware of the issue Polarstep staff promptly solved it. I was sailing and using a satellite internet connection which may have created to the issue. The program is awesome and gives the opportunity to share in real time one's travels and relive the experience long after returning home. Great app!
This app is awesome! It is super easy to use and is a great way to follow you loved ones travels or to document your own. I have not given a full rating yet as I haven't uploaded photos myself.
Excellent app. Took me a little while to work it out but quite easy to set up really. Great following family and friends travels.
Love this App , I can show our friends our progress around Aussie, love putting the photos and a little write up about our day, love how it's all there for easy viewing collecting all our history on our trip, can't wait at the end to print our album to treasure. Thank you
Love this app. We've used it for 5 holidays so far. Great way to show the home front what we're up to ánd create a beautiful noted photo album afterward!
I love this app but why does it have download the photos on the map every 5 or 6 times I open the app? It's a looot of data waste for those who are traveling! Also, the app started interfering with the accuracy of the GPS on other apps such as iOverlander and Google Maps. It wasn't always like that, might have started from the latest version on or previous one.
