Police Child ID

The Australian Police Child ID App was designed and built by AFP based on software provided under licence by the FBI to help parents and guardians more easily collect and send important information about their child/children in the event of a disappearance or abduction. Procedures may vary on a State to State basis. No data from this app is collected or stored by the AFP or any other Australian Police agency unless it is sent to the police following disappearance or abduction.

Every parent should have this on their phones for easy access. It can be locked with a password for security and I think it's one of the best apps I've seen from AFP for child safety. Photo's can be easily uploaded and the info sent at a moments notice. I just wish we didn't need an app for this kind of thing but in this day and age it's one less stressful thing if the worst happens.

Good app, but I cannot seem to add photos. I am told "editing for this photo isn't supported" when choosing from galley.

Personally this is a fantastic idea, except whenever I try to add a photo the app crashes. Fix this and I'll review my rating

Great idea bad execution on android. Didn't someone test this app. Can't read second parents details when key board is up. ONLY REAL USE IS PICTURE CAN BE GIVEN TO POLICE QUICKLY.

Great idea, some UI improvements would be welcome. The most necessary improvement though is to be able to store a high res photo of the child, which would seem crucial in the case of a missing child. I recommend all parents to install this.

The app will not load a picture. This is a basic need for reporting a child missing. If this could be fixed, the app would be helpful.

This is a really top idea. I think if a child went missing, it would be very easy to fly into an unproductive panic. This would help immediately. Everyone should get this app.

It would be great if the contact info to enter could be drawn from the phone's directory. Also, cloning of entries when creating a new one - even if just the general info, rather than child-specific info. Having 4 kids, the initial data entry is a bit of a distinctive to do it straight away.

I got this today after seeing it posted on AFP Facebook Page. I have Sony Xperia Z2 with Lollipop. When i press + and photo from phone then select picture i get "photo editor has stopped working" Rebooted phone, no luck. Uninstalled/Reinstalled still no luck 😔

When will devs understand that iOS style tab UIs and horrible ports just aren't good enough on android.

Not sure how much this expedites the process of actually getting information to police but useful to be able to have the info written down in one place (even if that one place is a bit awkward - the app looks like an iOS one)

Have had no issues entering data or setting photos. I don't even mind entering the data separately for each of my 5 kids. Worth it in the end if it helps find them

The FBI app is much better, this app provides little-to-no useful information
